First and foremost Thane is not a part of Mumbai and isn't it's suburb or within it .
Geographically it is a separate city and district and it's soul , essence and character are nothing like Mumbai .
Please don't insult Thane by calling it a part of Mumbai .

One of the best decisions of my life .
Thane is not even remotely like Mumbai in character and might I say is far better than Mumbai .
Clean , green , excellent food , reasonable rates , excellent amenities - exactly as life should be .
Thane for me is amongst the best places to live in India .
Thane comes under Mumbai Metropolitan Area along with Kalyan dombivali.. Also know as Satellite towns

Singhania schools campus is also equally huge and it has mor than 5000 students.

Goeika school has started a few years ago, there are many good schools in thane.
I am an ex thane-ite and I know how crowded and busy thane used to be. I don't think anything has changed. This Video is not showing everything.

I agree... I Stay in thane & the traffic is really bad... to move out of thane is not as easy as they say... the water quality is not as good as in Mumbai... I stayed in Mumbai... before relocating in Thane... My heart still belongs to Mumbai... I wish I could move back if circumstances allowed...

true it takes 50 min from churchgate to Thane station and 1 hour from Thane Station to Pk Rd 2 or GB road. Worst road infrastructure. corrupt politicians, poor transport service, even for most of the basic household things you have to travel back to old Thane coty closer to station.

Thane is the headquarters of Thane district and is not a suburb of Mumbai. Yes, it has a separate municipal corporation but comes under Mumbai Metropolitan Region. It is an ancient city with a mention in Mahabharat as Shreesthanak.
