I didn't realize that the Capitol Corridor and the San Joaquin ran single level sets! They look really cool. Our Surfliner runs two single level sets, but they just have the typical phase IV scheme. Is that what those single level Amfleet cars are for in the CalTrain yard?

It's actually only the San Joaquins that use them. They use them on trains 712 and 717, and rarely go on any other trains.

He operates the train from what is called the cab car. Itvhas the same controls as the engine

The front unit is whats called a cab-car. Just like regular passenger car but with engine controls, lights, and a horn at an end of it.
