you can tell it's going to be intense just by listening to the first couple seconds. absolutely amazing. I loved the guitar, it's so heavy, exactly what i expected from The Word Alive, this album has been just down right Amazing.
this song is crazy good. dammit i wish the whole post hardcore community can listen to these guys and put them on the top with AA and MIW

This is definitely my favorite singing Telle does on the album. The chorus creeps up on you, and then he switches to the delicate falsetto to sweep you away, and the finishes it with powerful raw singing...a perfect chorus.
This song should be in the next God of War game haha

When i was reading a review for this album, the reviewer gave the album good reviews, but said it was a straight up metalcore album. And i was thinking to myself "i don't want another generic metalcore album!", but i listened to it anyways and i was sooo wrong. This isn't another generic metalcore album! It's really something much greater!

and mixed and mastered it right? but honestly I kinda retract my comment a bit now, the more I listen to this album the more I enjoy it, kinda ironic since I hated deciever the first time I heard it but now consider it one of my favorite metalcore albums

I'll answer this for you. Joey Sturgis produced this record and recorded/mixed everything BUT the vocals. So yes, the vocals and instrumentation aren't mixed near as well as they could have been. Not saying Telle's vocals sound bad on the record but they could have come out a lot cleaner/clearer had they let Sturgis handle everything.
I'm just not liking the mix on this album, it feels like i can't hear the clean vocals and sometimes the screams aren't clear enough to understand what he's saying. But those are the only things i didn't like about the album.
By far the best on the album.
This song makes me want to listen to more of their songs.

I love the album but does anyone agree that its hard to hear the voice and make up worda in general in this album idk i like to "grasp" the melody of the vocals and it hust seems to blend to much with the background. For example memphis may fire, likemoths to flames etc voices are very clear and stand out from the music more :/. Dont get me wrong the album is great but that makes me a bit annoyed.
Don't get me wrong, I have always been a fan of The Word Alive since the very beginning BUT the new cd isn't as good as I was hoping. The songs sound like they are demos. It is just blah. Where is that 2012 ravaging TWA sound that makes them who they are. The new stuff just sounds unfinished and it makes me sad because I was so excited for this album. Hate me if you want for saying it BUT that is how I feel.
Yeah the mix just isn't as tight and together as I expected. As for the songs, I think that they fall short compared to the last album. They have a unique sound and it doesn't sound like the TWA that we know. Yes bands "grow" but when the reason they are what they are is their sound then you shouldn't venture too far away from that..
People will dislike a band if they sound the same, people will dislike if they sound different. Everyone will never be happy. Just shut up and listen to the music. If not just listen to their first album.
I know. He joined a little after they got out of the studio. Matt Horn from the band Sleepwalker tracked drums because they had no drummer at the time and he was a local in AZ.
Yeah, Telle said the song is supposed to be like a 'sequel' to 2012 because it continues that story about the guy eventually getting his revenge and killing the person :P
This song and Entirety are both sick songs. Haven't heard the full album exactly yet, but so far, I like those two only.

In an interview somewhere i vaguely remember them saying the song was based, or influenced, off of the movie "Law Abiding Citizen".
It's a good movie too so i suggest watching it then listening to 2012, the words will come out a bit better.
