I’d heard this song when the album came out and have always loved it since then. 2 years ago, I my dad passed away. Prior to his passing, I received a call from my brother, informing me that my dad was going to be sent home to spend his last days with us. On the way to the hospital, this was the song I listened to. I cried the entire way there, and I still tear up every time I listen to this song. To my dad; I wish we had more time. I miss you everyday.
This songs about Telle's grandfather. So it sounds like, and i'm guessing. "I miss you, I wonder if you're listening. Watching, your memory will never fade. You'll live in me. You'll live through me. You'll live, Through me!!"
You may not make it home tonight You may not last another fight You may not make it home tonight When you meet your end, walk towards the light Walk towards the light Together, together we'll always be In life and death I will always have peace I believe you're here with me You're here with me Knowing you found the way before the end Has allowed me to live Sometimes, you'll think of me and say "I miss you, The stories you'd tell me" You'll wish we had more time, you got to say goodbye Don't forget don't forget what I told you You gotta live gotta live like I showed you I'm proud of who you are And it's not too late It's not too late Sometimes I wonder if you're looking down Have I strayed too far because I'm longing To find the truth I've always known, show the way, The way to you I have so much I need to say What would you say? Knowing you found the way before the end Has enabled me to live Sometimes, you'll think of me and say "I miss you, the stories you'd tell me" You'll wish we had more time, you got to say goodbye Don't forget don't forget what I told you You gotta live gotta live like I showed you I'm proud of who you are And it's not too late It's not too late If you're still there, pick me up, empower me To stand alone, I'm coming home I wonder if you'll be there I miss you I wonder if you're listening, watching? Your memory will will never fade You'll live in me You'll live through me You'll live through me Sometimes, you'll think of me and say "I miss you, the stories you'd tell me" You'll wish we had more time, you got to say goodbye Don't forget Don't forget what I told you You gotta live gotta live like I showed you I'm proud of who you are And it's not too late It's not too late It's not too late It's not too late
I don't feel "special" I'm just stating that I've been a fan through every member change and I've only grown to love their music even more with the changes because they have all been for the better.
best song on the new album. the other songs are standard. they should play this live along with like father like song. the one song about telles father and the other one about his grand pa. it fits.
I saw your previous comments and saw who you were replying to and you seemed like you were an informative fan till you threw out that you knew where OM&M is from...lol just killin ya bro
You ever hear of Ohio is for Lovers by Hawthorne Heights, not really a fan of the song but they titled that song because they came from ohio, so I figured the same happened here. That'd be like me, a guy from ohio, starting a band and naming a song "South Dakota is Intense." Doesn't really make sense to make a song titled after a state without SOME sort of serious connection going on.
Yeah.. Except Luke Holland had nothing to do with Life Cycles.. He joined the band after this album had already been recorded, the drums for Life Cycles were done by someone else, I forgot his name, but yeah. Their new cover of Mercy by Kanye West is the first actual recorded song that Luke has done drums for. He is awesome, and I think they'll be going in a better direction now. But they dropped the ball on Life Cycles.. Deceived was much more technical, had catchier hooks, better synth, atmos
They named the song Ohioisonfire because Attack Attack! is from Ohio and they have past conflicts because of Austin Carlile being kicked out in 2009 and starting Of Mice & Men, the song is a response to Attack Attack!'s song AC-130 which was intended towards Carlile, that's the connection, none of the members are from Ohio, neither albums were recorded there, Of Mice & Men is from Costa Mesa, California, and they're all fuckin bosses.
sorry for butthurting you. Just figured because they have a song ohioisonfire and I've seen interviews and behind the scenes videos where they say stuff like "We got the 2 best drummers in ohio right here". I understand it might just be where they recorded the album, but I find it kind of hard to believe that none of the band members, new or old, aren't from Ohio. Now reply with your asshole comments, shit ain't that serious bro. :)
Definitely not better than Deciever.. A couple good songs, but this album has way too much generic chugging.. The Word Alive is better than that, it's weird.

"I miss you. I wonder if you're listening. Watching, your memory will never fade. You'll live in me. You'll live through me."
i was listening to this song when i got the phone call that my great grandmother past away. this song means a lot to me.
They matured so much. Really, THIS is why they are my favorite band. Probably one of the best songs they have ever written.
The lyrics to this song give me goosebumps every damn time. This is so pathetically good...
Do the lyrics make anyone else cry. It's too fricken emotional. I can't do this right now

Hidden Lakes is the name of the development that I live in.
You may not make it home tonight
You may not last another fight
You may not make it home tonight
When you meet your end, walk towards the light
Walk towards the light
Together, together we'll always be
In life and death I will always have peace
I believe you're here with me
You're here with me
Knowing you found the way before the end
Has allowed me to live
Sometimes, you'll think of me and say "I miss you,
The stories you'd tell me"
You'll wish we had more time, you got to say goodbye
Don't forget don't forget what I told you
You gotta live gotta live like I showed you
I'm proud of who you are
And it's not too late
It's not too late
Sometimes I wonder if you're looking down
Have I strayed too far because I'm longing
To find the truth I've always known, show the way,
The way to you
I have so much I need to say
What would you say?
Knowing you found the way before the end
Has enabled me to live
Sometimes, you'll think of me and say "I miss you, the stories you'd tell me"
You'll wish we had more time, you got to say goodbye
Don't forget don't forget what I told you
You gotta live gotta live like I showed you
I'm proud of who you are
And it's not too late
It's not too late
If you're still there, pick me up, empower me
To stand alone, I'm coming home
I wonder if you'll be there
I miss you
I wonder if you're listening, watching?
Your memory will will never fade
You'll live in me
You'll live through me
You'll live through me
Sometimes, you'll think of me and say "I miss you, the stories you'd tell me"
You'll wish we had more time, you got to say goodbye
Don't forget Don't forget what I told you
You gotta live gotta live like I showed you
I'm proud of who you are
And it's not too late
It's not too late
It's not too late
It's not too late

This and dragon spell are my two favorite songs :D
This band is from phoenix arizona!!! That's where I live (:
The intro reminds me of Sacre Couer by It Dies Today.
best song on the new album. the other songs are standard. they should play this live along with like father like song. the one song about telles father and the other one about his grand pa. it fits.

Did a lyrics video of this song after getting inspired by that line
This was 7 years ago!?!? Wat I’m getting old
Such a good song :,)
Algum BR ouvindo em 2021?😍😍
Are you from Ohio? If so, you might be living in the apartment complex that this song is named after :)
The only big difference between Deceiver and Life Cycles is that Luke Holland is the new drummer ;)

Yeah.. Except Luke Holland had nothing to do with Life Cycles.. No.. I'm from Washington....
I love this song. I'm gonna blast this song while I make sweet, sweet love in the broad of daylight.
The intro does have a very similar sound, doesn't it? But Telle and Nick sound nothing alike. :P
Saw the likes and one dislike, you mean. Who knows why the hell that one person did, but whatever, their opinion.
Fuck this sounds great through my Bose IE2
my bad it was 2:36
It could be both, but he was wrong to say it, yes.
Im gonna 360 no scope the 4 dislikers, lol, but seriously its too awesome to dislike

Man i cried like a little fucking girl the first time i heard this song. The lyrics are just wow fsjfhadhaf.
i really hate the guitars distortion... like really hate it. but everything else sounds great.

phere, and energy. This album isn't really a good example of their true talent. Of course that's just my opinion.
Luke Holland bro, Luke Holland
He doesn't play on this album fucknut
