I was a child raised on traditional jazz, and later and classic soul of the 60s and 70s, but I'm here to tell ya, when it comes to hearing great singers with SOLID technique, DON'T SLEEP on on our Country Music brothers and sisters! I became a fan of Jennifer Nettles watching her as a judge on "Duets"---and though this performance is understated...she has an instrument that is no joke. There a whole plethora of country singers out there that I can enjoy listening to simply for the sheer power and command of what they are capable of musically...but Nettles....and Ms. Shelby Lynne, also (!)---those girls have a lot of heart and I really enjoy them.
