Depending on what tone you are going to utilize, it would sound pretty different on an electric guitar, not necessarily better. Electric guitar pickups capture sound generated by the strings, they are actually not designed to pick up noise from the body itself, like when he does all that percussive stuff. In detail, they generate and capture a magnetic field thats being interfered by the strings. You can still hear the sounds from the body, but definitely not as prominent as with an acoustic guitar. Also, when you use overdrive or distortion like in a typical rock guitar tone, it would sound rather muddy, as different notes played under distortion kinda get fused together. Considering that Beethoven used as many different instruments as he possibly could get his hands on for the 5th symphony, he would definitely hire you if he's still alive.
As someone who grew up frequently listening to the traditional 5th Symphony as well as acoustic guitar classics such as "Memories of Alhambra," this is such a great thing to hear.
The judges better have given him some sort of commendation for that bc thats skill, precision, and technique to some of the highest degree ever seen on the show.
Marcin did his numbers better than any G3's, his fingers did the melodies in harmonies with no pedal effects, no drum tracks or big egos. Marcin is truly an art form of a rock star ready to explode. Go Marcin go, keep on rockin' the free world.👍👍👍👍👍
Why the need to take down other guitarists? He performed great, but a classical piece. Petrucci, Gilbert, Morse, every G3 guitarist can perform amazingly in acoustic too, they just choose a different style and genre, and they're great at writing music on top of that. Nothing wrong with fingerstyle, but you're comparing apples to oranges.
Unnecessary comment. The core G3 are not arrogant at all. Also, there is one thing being incredibly skilled performing on the instrument, and another to write nd perform beautiful listenable music. He has the package, I hope he evolves in the right direction as creative. It's not a competition.

6 strings, 20ish frets, 10 fingers. Lotta numbers to work with. And when you’ve practiced as much as he clearly has, endless range of sounds. And that’s not even including all the flavor he’s adding with percussive tapping on the body, or even how in one of his videos, he briefly strummed behind the nut on the headstock.
You definitely don't play guitar, majority of players who have played for many years and practice can do that, it's not like something that's never been done before
@@Jack_hoff_man never said he did, flamenco technique applies percussion attacks over the guitar as well, and those are also applied to modern compositions. Just like string players sometimes leave the bow for pizz. or plucked strings players using bows. In Chile there's also a skilled guitar player who has used double bass techniques (for the left hand) in order to reach bigger intervals that would normally take the player to slide and release either an unwanted glissando or a not always appreciated sound from sliding the finger over the string. My point is, that although this might not sound in style in terms of technique, he didn't either in terms of musical language (specifically the rythm) therefore, it shouldn't be measured or put in that frame because it is a completely different beast.
Amazing. That was just flat out amazing. One of the most beautiful things I've heard come out of a guitar. As a crappy drummer myself lol I've always loved the guitar but never learned how to play. Classical music + Spanish/Mexican romance style..
This sounds amazing! I would never have thought that these styles could be combined, now I know ❤
Marcin did his numbers better than any G3's, his fingers did the melodies in harmonies with no pedal effects, no drum tracks or big egos. Marcin is truly an art form of a rock star ready to explode. Go Marcin go, keep on rockin' the free world.👍👍👍👍👍
He is much better than " rock music", which is no challenge at all to this performer!

How is it even possibly to make so many layers of sound with just two hands and a guitar! So amazing!
He needs to be jumping through hoops of fire to impress Simon

@@Jack_hoff_manI wonder what flamenco sounds like to you then....
@@XMitsurugiX it sounds like guitar, he is not playing anything close to flamenco
@@theashuxd Nothing disrespectful about saying this guy is talented. Doesn't matter what it is but if you practice/dedicate your time/energy into something enough you will undoubtedly get good at it but there's a difference between good and great. It's the ones that are born with natural talent AND dedicate all their time/energy into their craft that stand out from the crowd. Nothing wrong/disrespectful with that it's just life.
