  • Save time when using Illustrator and avoid having to export cutting files and then importing into Canvas. Adobe and Brother have collaborated to enable us to send our cut files directly from Adobe (versions 2019 onwards) to our Brother cutting machines without the need to use Canvas Workspace.
The plug-in from Adobe is a free download but in order to utilise it you need to purchase a link from your local Brother supplier.
It is very simple to install and you are up and running in moments.
The only thing I haven't found out yet is if you are able to draw directly as you can do from Canvas Workspace but I shall look into this and report back as and when.
The link to Special Heart Studio is specialheartst... and my thanks are to them for this lovely cutting file

Hi there, if you wish to use Illustrator as your main design platform and don't wish to keep sending it to Canvas before sending it to your cutter you can now add the Brother plug in to enable this function. It is free from Adobe but only works if you have the supporting link from Brother which you have to pay for.
