Apologies for my not too reliable memory (spoilers for my grail figure down below)
But Cordelia didn't have support convos with Chrom, so I think whenever I played Female!Robin I either married Chrom myself & had Cordelia paired with one of my other favorites like Lon'qu or Gaius.
(I also have a terrible memory and don't remember Gaius, but I loved Lon'qu... I'd play as Fe!Chrom so I could marry him. I'm so glad that Emblem had full same-sex relationships, even though I did love playing as Fe!Byleth.)

The Pegasus girls in Fire Emblem always hit the mark! Cherche is my favorite Pegasus/Wyvern knight personally. I’ll always regret not grabbing the infamous Tharja figure too. Someday I’ll cave and purchase a non-nendo figure when I have the personal space. 😌

As someone who doesn't really get into collecting figures for games, I absolutely love your curated shelves dedicated to various franchises. You're starting to convince me I should consider doing something similar in my game room. 🙂 I'd definitely do it for Trails of Cold Steel, since it's my favorite RPG series ever!
There are some great Cold Steel figures coming out (along with Rean and Altina reissues), so may be a good time to consider it 😆

I agree that the tharja figure looks pretty great
I remember when my Madoka nendoroid came also with that sticky mold release feeling. Should be easy to scrub off gently with a tooth brush and some dish soap.
That Cordelia is gorgeous, she was a powerhouse in my game of Awakening. I wish they made a statue of Sumia. She would’ve been a must have for me.

Such an awesome grail figure Emily! Glad you were able to get it! I think the price hike may have been when Three Houses came out, since the entire series boomed in popularity then. I remember prices going up on the older games when that happened. Not entirely sure though, regardless such a cool figure!

Great addition to your shelf Emily🎉 and yeah Mercari is the right choice to hunt unique items, I also keep buying from it, last one I got atelier statue like Totori, Rorona and Meruru which in used condition but still in very good shape. I also collecting preorder bonus like you did,, exactly the same like Mio’s notebook etc,, also from Mercari😅

I understand this i have a fairly large collection of final fantasy figures and a resin lara croft not forgetting my mini figures of dragon ball and naruto :D I can highly recommend getting your faves printed onto canvas you'd be surprised just how good things like that look and not super expensive to get backdrops made that your really love :)
Oh I have a few wall scrolls & cloth posters from collector editions actually! I haven't hung any up yet, still deciding where to display them lol.

I collect figures for The Legend of Heroes series, Nier, Xenoblade and Final Fantasy VII. I actually just got Melia Antiqua on Mercari for 20000 Yen and I was lucky enough to be able to ship it with Registered Small Package, so I only needed to pay 1900 yen. With the Exception of the Trails series I can pretty much only buy 2 scale figure for each series. With Trails I have enough space to buy 1 figure for each arc. I have small Metroid shrine so I have the Figma on preorder right now. I do also have a small Castlevania Shrine, so I did just pay for the Alucard Nendoroid that just got realeased.
Right now I have Renne Bright, Crow Armbrust, Cloud Strife (static arts) and the Metroid Dread Figma on preoder. I am also waiting on that scale figure for Mio. And also hoep for the love of god that the draft of the Kaine figure by flare becomes a reality (that they showed alittle bit over a year ago).
Man I wished I loved the newer Fire Emblem games, big fan of the older titles but the newer games are very hit or miss for me. I enjoyed Awekening and Three Houses, but sadly I have not loved a Fire Emblem game since Radiant Dawn.

Your collection is amazing and so tasteful great thing is all your stuff is super valuable so you can sell it at anytime and be ok.
Maybe, though who knows maybe some of my collectibles will become less desirable over time. It's difficult to judge these hobby markets at times 😅

Pretty cool. I love the fire emblem games, before that i loved shining force 1 and 2 on genesis so like 6 years ago i googled games similar to shining force and the fire emblem games came up and thats what got me into the ds/3ds. Replayed them many times

That Fire Emblem figure looks amazing! I was never able to get around to buying/playing most of the Fire Emblem games, but I really like the designs of female Corrin and Byleth in Smash Bros., as well as Chrom’s design.
They have some great designs! Hopefully some of the older game you (& me) missed will get an Echoes remaster or something so that they're more easily accessible :)
@@orbalology Yeah, it would be really nice to have them all on the switch, especially since I've heard that they have DLC or something, so even if we did manage to find a copy for a reasonable price, we wouldn't be able to get the whole game today.

Great collection you are having and Cordelia is definitely a grail! Being a FE/Trails/Xeno fan we have been blessed with figures in recent years. What do you think of the new Corrin scale that just got announced, along with some of the trails characters in Fie/Emma?
Oh I love Corrin's scale design so I'll likely be preordering 😂 I can't help but pick up all the Kotobukiya Trails figures so I already have Fie preordered and will do the same for Emma & whatever else comes out next once they're open.

Cordelia looks amazing, and I'm so happy you were able to get your favourite character! I was also pleased to see your Nendroid figurines, because they are adorable, but they always look a little creepy to me online... I wanted an Apollo Justice figurine from Ace Attorney, and the only figurine I could find of him was a Nendroid and I was having trouble deciding whether or not to preorder him, but I went ahead and did, and I'm glad to see that he'll probably look better in person than on the preorder shots.
Your collection is so impressive, especially your Trails and Fire Emblem stuff! (As for me, I'm still trying to finish off Trails from Zero... well into the last chapter, so today should hopefully be the day...)

Its really nice you have a Totori figure. Atelier Totori is one of my favorites of the Atelier games and it is the one that sold me on the series. Rorona was the first I played but I didn't like that one so much and was uncertain of I would play any more. However, I have played every one since Totori. The music for her Atelier is my favorite music from the series as well and I always tear up when I hear it .
Oh good to hear that Totori's game was a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to playing their games (eventually) and seeing how they go. I've gotten too used to the untimed Atelier gameplay so I've been putting off some of the older games lol.
@@orbalology I know exactly what you mean about the time limits in games as I am inherently paranoid about such things even in real life. 🤣However, the time limits in the older Atelier games are very generous and shouldn't put you off them at all.
It's an amazing feeling when you realize you can obtain your Holy Grail.
For me, it was when they reissued the Siren model kit.

I love that plastic piece on the base holding her feet in. My figures always want to fall when something shakes the shelf or house.

Congratulations on picking up your grail, Cordelia! She looks so cool! I was looking for her for the longest time too, until, at long last, I gave up and deprioritized Fire Emblem in favour of other series - mainly due to the outrageous aftermarket prices of her and other older figures, the high pre-order prices of upcoming ones, and how disappointed I was with my Lyn with her numerous paint defects.
Are you planning on picking up Female Robin that has just been announced?
Oh did they announce a Female Robin figure? I just saw the Corrin figure last night. I don't feel quite as attached to Robin but it would be something to consider.

I really love the preproduction photos of the Fire Emblem scales. They always look so nice. I do hope that the new figures will have better quality control, especially given the significant increase in their prices. More often than not, the paint colours on the final units look more muted and flat compared to the ones shown in these photos.

Always thought it was sad how Cordelia was in-love with Chrom and yet there are no supports between the two... She is my favorite character from Awakening too so great pick-up!
Ah you're totally right, I was misremember her supports in the vid lol. But I usually played as male Robin instead of female so I want to say I usually paired her with Lon'qu maybe? My memory is a bit fuzzy 😅
@orbalology Chrom does have his own Pegasus girl in Sumia so maybe that made it confusing! Picking Male Robin just to marry Cordelia is the most cultured choice btw 😉

Those Max Factory Fire Enblem figures are DANGEROUS to wallets! Only ever coped for Ike, but if they end up doing Chrom or Robin I’ll be in trouble 😅

I didn't get her pop up parade or figma, I've been trying to limit myself to scales (& a few nendos).
Do you save all of the boxes for your figures? Those take up a bunch of space, too, and you can't really break them down since they've got the inserts. A good chunk of my closet is taken up by them. Sometimes I think about at least chucking the inserts and breaking them down since I don't intend on ever selling, but I haven't found the heart yet!
I have all my boxes in my unused kitchen cabinets at the moment but I'll soon have to start putting more boxes in the closet. I like to have them for moving purposes :)

Also using Zenmarket, and recently made a very good deal from Yahoo auction on one of my grail figure, Kotobukiya's Dark Dragoon Forte from Shingeki no Bahamut/ Rage of Bahamut sealed !! I couldn't believe I got her for 13500¥, I was so happy, jumping everywhere ! 🤣

I cancelled my pre-order for the Cordelia figure before its initial release. Seeing it now has reminded me of how stupid that decision was. It looks so good.
She really turned out so nice. It's possible Max Factory will re-release her. But it's hard to predict.
So when you order international, do they convert the USD into yen or any other foreign currency? Do you have any yen from Japan to use? It is totally possible that a new game could bring up the popularity of characters\figures related to the game. It would be more of an effect on characters in the most current game or at least tied to it through the story line.
Sounds like you need to buy a new shelf or two if you have room in the new place.
You can pay in JYN through PayPal or a credit card in your currency and they'll convert it for a small fee. And yes just like in other markets new announcements can sometimes affect older items pricing. Though in my experience I've found it to a lesser degree in Japan than the US, but it really depends on the item and franchise. As for shelves, I don't plan to buy anymore so I'm hoping my space limitations will help keep me in check lol.
Using buyee for the first time and dreading that invoice. If they didn't start charging storage, I would be tempted to try and pick up at their warehouse when I visit in july

@@orbalology have you ever used that option? Curious if they are just being extra cautious about this disclaimer,
"We have received many reports about package damage due to a long term shipping process. So if you choose this shipping method, "Protective Packaging" is strongly recommended."
I've used it before and had no issues other than it taking a long time, usually ~3 months for the US. If you have something very fragile I would recommend probably paying a little extra for extra protection just to be safe.

i have yet to unbox my cordelia since 2016. How do we get rid of stickiness on figurines? Yeah i a always pair up chrom and cordelia together in my gameplay but her convo has made me doubts that chrom was her crush sometimes.
I heard from one of the other comments that using an old toothbrush and some dish soap can do the trick for sticky figures.
I thought it was going to be a Xenoblade figure XD, she is fantastic :D

I have so many figures I need to get or still coming. All of the Amakuni Persona re-releases for P5, and I really wanted some of those Kingdom Hearts and Ace Attorney Nendoroids since they don't have any scales.
Then I have a few One Piece figures.
Ah, I haven't gotten into One Piece figure collecting. I've been holding out mostly because I don't really enjoy all the scales available for my favorite Robin. But I'm tempted to get her recent re-release All Miss Sunday 🙈 I haven't gotten into Persona yet but I have a feeling their figures will tempt me once I do lol
@@orbalology Oh that would be my only Robin figure too. For a series as big as One Piece I thought the figures would look better.
But I've really ordered the Doflamingo Maximum and the All Miss Sunday . I wanted the Ace too, but he's very expensive. .
Yeah One Piece get a lot of cheap prize figure that are certainly affordable, I just wish they looked a bit better. And Max Factory has a tendency to start a lot of Portrait of Pirate series but never give all the main characters figures which is frustrating.

I decided to pass on amiibos in general and focus on scale & nendoroid figures. Adding another variety will make these shelves fill up too quickly 😅
