The Pacific could be something special for Squad 44 and I’d love to see it in Hell Let Loose too.
As I stated in your last post, Hell let loose NEEDS TO ADD ITALY AND JAPAN as new axis factions. And more Soviet and British maps to stay on top. This won’t kill HLL but it will be a big blow to it.

Competition in the market is always good. Maybe this will motivate the current owners of HLL to add new content to the game and not just squeeze money out of this game like a lemon...
Hell Let Loose needs content has been pretty lackluster recently, with the exception of maps nothing else has been added, where are the Polish and Finnish factions we've been promised earlier, no new weapons either.
I’m still waiting for the Poles and Finns 🫤, I was really excited to see them on the old roadmap. I just hope if they are added that it isn’t just for Skirmish but also for Warfare and Offensive game modes!

this is best about modding community! It's such a huge loss this fine game doesn't have any form of Realt time strategy campaign - where players would actually move troops along a very large east front and fight the battles !
Squad 44 feels so much better now and I like playing it more than hell let loose since Offworld took over the game.
I’ve always enjoyed Squad 44 more than Hell Let Loose. You have to play a lot smarter and the movement actually feels like a guy is sprinting. It’s such a rewarding game when you take the time to get good at it.
One of my favorite memories is being a Bren gunner for my squad and going behind enemy lines to take out OPs and get ahead on the OBJ. We ambushed an entire squad spawning in with small arms fire.

Until they remove the water drinking mechanism, supressed black screen, and other unnecessary nuanced mechanics of the game, it's not going to catch on for majority of FPS players. The game sees on average less than 200 players, and even then they are still updating a dead game. Yes, graphics are amazing, the sounds are top notch, but if the game is not easily accessible or adaptable to your average gamer, the game will remain below that 200 mark indefinitely, hidden in the gallows if independent games. That is why the formula for HLL works so well. It's a hard core FPS you can jump into, that too has a massive learning curve, but without all the unnecessary details and realism to outshine the core focus of the gameplay. Once I see Squad 44 hitting the 5k+ mark in player base, I would happily switch over to Squad 44. In the meantime, enjoy the empty lobbies.

The good new : SQUAD 44 is continuing the developpment slowly but is not abandonned. It still the ultimate WWII game reference for his unique immerssiv tactical gameplay.

I want to get back into this game, but the basement dwelling, uptight gatekeepers turned me off last time. Might have more players if noobs were made to feel welcome. It's a tough game to get the hang of.
It does have a steep learning curve, steeper than Hell Let Loose but there are tonnes of tutorials and guides on UA-cam. Also as long as you use your mic and try to work with your team most players are pretty chill, that is my experience anyway.
I truly believe Squad 44 is on a path to a re-invigoration. The recent armor update is great, riding on tanks is such a cool addition. And with the announcement of the Pacific theatre, I know there's an audience out there, many have prob left the game long ago, but might give it another chance and like what they find. Love this game.

If the pacific is well done which i strongly believe can and Will be done seeing their Work on this game thus far i trully do think the pacific front Will be the game changer for Squad 44 and to say game changer is an understatement...i believe that Will be collosal especially Being so underepresented in realistic shooters....I even think it Will be the final straw for HLL players to finally come over
If Squad 44 is anything like post ICO Squad I seriously doubt. I’m good with not developing parkinsons and noodle arms when I try and aim.

And there isn't a comeback because they S44 was never competitive to begin with. On a weekday the game struggles to hit 130 players. The fact content creators have to mention HLL every single time something happens with S44 is a testament to the fact that the game struggles to stand on it's own.

This is NOT the Hell Let Loose killer. It's still the same core game that died. I tried it again and it's clunky, the level of emersion is no where near as good as HLL. Sorry, it has along way to go to actually even come up to the level of HLL today.

Well, to be *that guy*, they didn't get the function of an SVT40 right: you can't lock the bolt open when there are rounds in the magazine (unless you really mess about with it)...

I mean, it's not going to kill the game, but it is a fairly basic thing to get right! Especially if it's being touted as a super realistic shooter. Wouldn't worry, it'll just be nerds like me that get irked by it.

If T17 was interested in spending money on their game, they could update the tank mechanics like PS, and it would really evolve the game. But another glaring issue with PS, is the gun play. It feels like it's from 2008, and while some might be drawn to this older style of gun mechanics, apparently there is only an average of 248 people in the last 30 days that are sticking around to enjoy it.
Hell Let Loose is too linear with every mechanic. Which is it's downfall.
