It's Easy... You take Kyoya, from Ouran High School Host Club, Mix in A bit of The Pharaoh from YuGiOh, add a TINY BIT of MCR Music, Then add a touch of Empathy... Then Just toss all that out, and Mix Amuro Ray and Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam.
Jk, But seriously, it's not that hard. Lelouch is a kind, driven guy who is also quite ruthless... You've got to play that up, Have Scenes Featuring Kind, Sweet, public Persona, then have scenes Featuring the Private, Conniving, Ruthless personality.
I wasn't completely Joking with the Char Aznable comparisons.
I will never forgive Disney for touching this wonderful series with their filthy hands.
How I wish this could get a theater release in the West like in Japan.
It reminds me of Netflix.
They killed the hype of Jojo. Not to mention they decided to divide 4 Knights of the apocalypse season 1
to let you know they really arent doing much with it but uploading it to their site with the dubbed. its mostly shown subbed on hulu and dubbed on disney plus, espeically since disney owns hulu practly nearly all animes that were on hulu is also on disney plus.

@@vampiragoddess Not exactly. It's being recut for TV. Which, will almost certainly have less than stellar pacing as was the case with Gundam Unicorn when that was recut for TV
Britainnia splitting up makes a lot of sense since that was one of the demands the UFN had for them to gain membership due to its large population. But I'm disappointed there is so much returning for this new series but at least the story seems much more coherent and better structure than the Akito OVAs.
Personally I wouldn't mind if Leila and her gypsy crew showed up to help in the climax. Here's hoping this series is a success.

I don't. Keep Gino far away from Kallen, it's bad enough this universe is basically every Lelouch x CC fanfiction brought to life. I don't need to see my hopes of Kallen x Lelouch stumped even further by these bias CC writers. Heck as a fan of Kallen I hope she doesn't appear or was killed offscreen, so she isn't forced to settle for Gino like most Lelouch x CC fanfictions.

@@MyMediaChops been hearing rumors that Disney+ will butcher animes with it’s new announcement of making their anime lineup more “acceptable” for their audience outside of Japan. Whether or not what they decide is too far, it still won’t be delivered to us in the way it’s intended.
Doesn’t help that Disney doesn’t advertise their anime at all, just want some ips to sit on

I just finished watching it and I loved it but disappointed on how season 1 had ended can't wait to see more episodes though ❤

Holy shit. That sounds very good, I didnt expect it to be as deep, most u said sounds really interesting and seems it respects the old lore. I m very happy for that. And the main char female look, and that Sakura princess (if I heard correctly) like damn... dont tell me they arent daughters of Lelouch or cloned or something xD the resemblance kills me, this is better than any fan made story
Kinda wish the Neo Britannians were obsessed with Lelouch tho, like, the entire idea of the Empire based behind his reign, and they just follow steps, would make the story so great and show like how some people are able to go really far for their leader and wish to be controlled, which would resemble us fans, or some of us who really like Lelouch and misunderstood his plans and went on to cause issues to Zero Requiem, a thing Lelouch might have overlooked that some might actually have enjoyed his tyrant reign.

The new anime, has many things from the original Code Geass series. It copies quite a few things in fact!!
The creators mentioned in the Lelouch of the resurrection movie that they were afraid of bringing Lelouch back. Not only that, at the same time, they also changed what they said after the original series ended, about leaving everyone who saw it imagining if Lelouch was really dead or not, and said that they originally didn't have any thoughts on Lelouch being alive!
But both Sakuya and her friend look alike with Lelouch! Not only that, it's obvious that they copied everything from Lelouch to make those two characters!! First and foremost his looks! And also parts of his personality, the way he's thinking etc!! They talked about being afraid of bringing Lelouch back, but they show us that they cannot NOT bring him back!! Because he's the one who carries Code Geass!!
Lelouch of the resurrection was supposed to be an alternate universe. And here they are, having created a new anime that actually FOLLOWS UP from that universe!! (I'm saying that for people who were mentioning in different comment and videos that Lelouch is actually dead, simply because the resurrection movie was an alternate universe.)
Not to mention some similarities with Kallen as well.
So far, it seems that they mostly copied things from the original anime and integrated them into the new anime! That's disappointing!! And if it continues, things won't look that good.
But, we'll wait and see.
PS. I'm just mentioning some things that everyone must've realized or even felt.

Nah she won't. She even barely appears in the movies recap and the resurrection, there's no way she would appear. And no they didn't bend backwards to save her. They butchered her subplot and character relevance because of time constraints and they can't afford to focus on her and Lelouch as they need to focus and CC in the movies AU (said by Taniguchi in the Resurrection movie, not my own words). So no, I don't expect her to appear if at all

Heck I bet the reason that this series mostly has new characters because they couldn't get more of the og Japanese cast for the series.

I don't think but it is only a month away. Their UA-cam channels has many compilations of clips from the film so it is better than nothing
It's interesting that more content is coming but why did they put it on Disney-? That platform is basically an anime Sahara where it goes to die. On the bright side, I suppose my Disney- subscription is free...

@MyMediaChops perhaps, but it should have been on Crunchyroll. A lot of anime that appears on the platform tends to under perform. They don't have much in the way of advertising, and several animes have died after a single season.

I wanted to share my initial thoughts based on what was revealed then compare it to what we learn.
It's more fun that way but I see your point.
Here's a thought; instead of a sequel to either the anime or movie timelines, why couldn't they make this series an alternate universe all on its own? I mean, look at it this way:
1) We're basically repeating the same story beats with Japan being occupied AGAIN and the Damocles has been rebuilt, which arguably makes both the Black Knights' fight and Lelouch's sacrifice even more pointless since it's canon to the movie timeline.
2) According to the wiki, Neo-Britannia's Emperor is listed as the 100th Emperor, but I thought Nunally was supposed to be the 100th Empress (unless Neo-Britannia doesn't acknowledge Nunally, which is also possible), so they could have just as easily be an AU counterpart to the original Britannia.
3) We have another character with the Sumeragi surname, who could have been an AU take on Kaguya rather than another relative.
4) Since Roze's name is more or less an anagram for Zero, he, or rather SHE as the case may be, could have been a new take on both Lelouch and the Zero persona.
5) At the very least, if this were its own separate entity, it wouldn't have to suffer the Continuity Lockout from the movies and TV show, and both fans and newcomers wouldn't have too much of a headache trying to figure out which is canon to which. They also wouldn't have to scrounge the internet for canonical spin-off material that hasn't been officially released in English.
Hell, Gundam does this all the time. So, why can't Code Geass do the same here?
If you were able to watch the movie directly and not going off a third hand account, I think half of those questions would not be asked.
Gundam does everything, so that alternative you are mentioning is neither better nor worse.
I'm a bit disappointed that the legacy characters still exist and their still young......
i hope the series/film doesn't focus too much on the past/legacy and tell it's own story.
Just don't follow Boruto the lamest sequel that i have ever watched....

The fact that it follows the alternate timeline could actually make it good since if they want to change something in the story it won't affect the Original timeline
