His passive synergises with Azrael's passive very well. With Azrael and Isabella this beefy boy will be a fortress. Add in Crushing Strike and Heavy Weapons his melee and active hit harder. Love him as a tank. Certainly don't like that he scores so low in LRE's, but maybe more in future.
I like his uniqueness I’ll say that. Doesn’t look like he’ll shake up the guild raid metas but maybe he can be a star in a formidable guild war team defense or offense
I could see his passive ability being useful in LRE's if you don't have enough Gravis armor characters. since it sounds like his passive stacks with each hit and and LRE's have tons of enemies. I can see him being very tanky when paired with isabelle
One nice unmentioned extra with the Sarquael synergy is Sarquael's passive that retaliates against anyone attacking a neighbouring Dark Angel. So ideally if anyone is left standing after the one-two plasma strikes from them, Baraqiel will tank the return fire and then Sarquael will retaliate, with the opponent still having the Pierce debuff on them.
Seems like the dark angels want to be a deathball with Baraquel in front with Saraquel and Azrael sitting next to him to share block bonus, plasma bonus, and some nasty retaliation to whoever attacks Baraquel. If someone attacks Baraquel while all 3 Dark Angels are hugging will get overwatched twice, and sarquel’s retaliatory attack, baraquel will get a block bonus from azrael, and next turn baraquel will get bonus damage from his passive and his traits. Sounds like a deathball that punishes anyone who attacks baraquel.
Love the review, but I find it interesting that all the Brit commentators are mispronouncing his name the same way. Either "Bah-ray-key-EL" or "Bah-rah-key-EL" would be appropriate, but being as it's a Hebrew angel name you have to enunciate the "el" at the end.
@@Deris87 I would prefer initial cooldown (to prevent combo with Deep Strike) and a chance of overheating (maybe on crits?) causing a 1 turn hung up. Small change but big difference.

Deep strike is a bit of a worry for defense as AI tends to deep strike too deep on first turn. Definately on offense with Sarquael and Azrael.
@@Landon11_36 right I forgot I’ve taken all deep strikers out of my defensive lineups
Really would have liked a bigger power fist too. Cosmetic but it would have been awesome in overkill
Not having a ranged makes him benefit from Ragnar

I think he will be a fun all around to fill in, especially because he should be relatively easy for newer players to grab him.

A jack of all trades and a master of none.
If you could use his plasma cannon after deep strike his value would increase greatly. That would make it worth pushing him forward.
Your reference to Space Hulk, showing your age there My Lord lol..
Fist definitely needs scaling up a tad
Call me mad, but I want to try him in a Isabella turtle in LREs. 😅
You did read where that plasma hits 3x right? It barely deals less damage than Sarquaels.
Yep, was thinking the same. Difference is like 200 damage on maximum roll
So people pronounce the names as Azra-El, Sarqua-El, but choose to say Baraq-Eal?
Because he's Baraqiel
He’s ok but just another one that will linger around the bottom of my roster because there is always someone better to upgrade

Deathwing terminator with a huge plasma cannon but no ranged attack
His active is a ranged attack every two turns
Ranged attack is a £49.99 DLC.
@@Yumao420 Which is also a pretty lore-friendly way of representing a plasma cannon and their chance of overheating. It's a touch I really like.

@@Yumao420 It does have an initial cooldown, at least according to Nandi.
