Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
Please don’t ever be done!!! You vids keep us going where there is nothing else to us going. I have re-watched you videos I don’t know how many times, and without fail I will always laugh and it makes me feel a little better.

I don't know if it's a "curse" to catch a fish every time your battery dies. More of a blessing. Maybe you should only charge your batteries to 15% so that you catch more feesh!

Black with purple fleck or purple swirl, has become a go to for me also. Sneaky color is also purple / pearl.

I totally agree!!!! As dope as Megabass looks my Levante and Orochi both needed those trigger extensions.it’s a trip how other people aren’t bothered by it. Fuji reel seats are my favorite!!(PoisonAdrena ,Zodias, Powell Max and Naked series)👍🏾

Debo I caught my first buzzbait feesh today, 2.3 lber. Then another 1.5 and 2.5 on the buzz. The grass was inches below the water so most lures didn't work. But I had the buzzbait ready after watching your videos. A buzzbait tutorial would be great.

Hey, Debo's! Have you tried The StrikeKing Hybrid Hunter Jr or The Regular Hybrid Hunter. They are the new craze in Bass fishing today. Well, It was the Chatterbait, KVD 1.5 crankbait and the Good O'le Jerk bait. Even The Drop shot! So I ordered me 5 Hybrid Hunter Jr's from VanDam Warehouse. They should be here soon. Every year a Outstanding new Bass fishing bait comes out. Says it is a killer bait. Well, Come to find out it's really a bait that came out a long time ago. Came from 6th Sense. Called The 77 and 66. I went through my Dad's old Tackle box yesterday. I found a Bait with a down turned bill or L shaped bill. I believe it was Called a Spence Scout. It has a bulbous body and a metal L shaped bill. Also Rapala came out with a Fat Free Shad in the 80's or 90's with a L shaped bill. I want everyone to know this Hybrid Hunter and Hunter Jr. Is a bait Strike Pro made a while back and it didn't do very well. Todd Candilstine worked with StrikeKing and bought the mold from Strike Pro. Now they are producing The Strike Pro bait! Called The Hybrid Hunter! I fished the Rapala Shad Rap version. It worked great on the smallies in my lake at the time. Watch out fellow fishermen the L shaped Bill will break on the bait. If you bounce it off rip rap or timber. I found a broken Rapala Shad Rap in my old Tackle box. It's a great bait. I am looking on E bay for some old L shaped Shad Raps. So don't think every bait is developed by a High dollar bait Company and brought out on the market. It cost millions of dollars to do just that. It's about catching the fishermen to buy a new bait. I still catch alot of Bass on A spinnerbait, chatterbait,Whopper Plopper and a 1.5 crank. Over 3 .5 years these baits kick butt! Love your Videos Debo's! But let's get real guys! Shawn.

Man I can never get a topwater bite in the open like that unless I'm maybe on a river. Every time I'm in still water, I need some kind of emergent top cover for the fish to lurk under or else they just wont hit. Frog is for sure my fav lure but I've never had a hit in the open water except for quick current rivers. I may need to learn some deeper technique to get there. Great fishing as always!
Also, I've seen bass come out of the water trying to catch little birds that are diving at my frog, which is nice because now I know where the fish is in the grass/algae mat. But yeah, the birds sometimes can help. But I've also had ospreys join me in my section of creek, diving and trying to steal my bass from in front of me.

Hey Debo, I bought my first above $200 rod last year,the megabass Levante “ perfect pitch”. Why did they make the grip so thin??? I can’t stand it. I ended up putting a Winn grip over top of it but still don’t love it. So disappointed. I Have since replaced my other rods with dobyns champions (on sale $200) and really like them but the Levante is an albatross that bugs me every time I walk into my garage 😔

I noticed a lot of guys who are right handed have right handed reels but as they cast they use the right hand (dominantly) then switch hands. I feel like I am one of a few (I have seen) who is right handed but with a left handed reel --> cast with right arm and left hand is always ready not this switch hands after or during cast. Wondering how many right handed folk might be fishing left handed reel out there?
What size hooks and weights were you using on your Texas rig? At 6:16 it looks like spawning beds there at your feet.

Hey Debo I’m a new freshwater angler and need your opinion. I use a lot of Texas rigs, chatter bait, and swim jigs. I normally use braid on my hair caster but should I make the switch to fluorocarbon line? Or should I keep the braid in and just do a fluorocarbon leader?
Keep using 30 pound braid on all your reel's. No stretch! You don't have to hit the fish. The braid does it for you. I tried Flourocarbon and Mono. It just breaks! I lost a good fish and a 1.5 KVD Sexy Shad to mono breakage. The other day when fishing. I stripped it off. When I got home and put Suffix 832 Green Moss on my Quantum Smoke reel. I will never use either again! It not worth losing a PB or a good bait to line breakage. Shawn.
