This had me laughing so hard omg, especially leaping out the window in shame after the carpet ride fail. So funny, and thanks for being such a good sport as to post this video so other people can enjoy knowing we're not alone in our hilarious mistakes.
I'll be honest, while some of this gameplay is outdone by stuff I've seen on friggin' Game Grumps of all things, the fact that you managed to get 120 stars in under 5 hours on your very first try is really impressive.

Who knew Cosmo was so bad at video games in comparison to these behemoth commenters among men, and here I've been wasting so much time watching who I thought was a great speedrunner when all these people without videos or twitch accounts are secretly better than both he AND siglemic.
It takes away some humility to realize Cosmo is so mortal as to say "NOOOO!", and make some more substantial mistakes than tripping slightly or missing a frame.
Well there's always the infamous Backwards Long Jump which makes Mario travel at impossible speeds and can take you through almost any wall in the main castle (which is really hard to pull off but anyways) and in most of the levels :P
Yeah, there should be a link you can use something like 'publish to youtube', once it's on youtube you can download it, chop it up and reupload it. you can set it as unlisted or private if you don't want anyone to see it

In SM64, collecting a Power Star ends a stage and adds to your required grand total for the game. Shadows of Power Stars, like the one he accidentally grabbed, end the stage but do not progress the game in any way. Given he was grabbing blue coins right before hand, it looks like he was attempting to obtain the star you get when you collect 100 coins in a stage. But by ending the stage early like that, his coin counter resets to 0 and he has to start all over again. Did that explain it for you?
