Let me conclude what the "Gravel" mode does to the car- it basically turns a great practical electric sports wagon/estate in to a great practical electric rally wagon/estate.
Group B for Battery. I think there will be a new generation of Rally Stage cars that are Insane Monsters that exploit BEV architecture. There already is the Stard Fiesta ERX ProjektE car & Extreme E Trophy Truck. Then there is also Rivian R1T which does Smokey Burnouts in SAND and many other custom one off Electric Baja Rigs. Dirt & Sand rally seems to be where BEVs really get to shine.
Of all the, er, 'Tesla Killers', I think Porsche have carved a special niche. They're Porsche and don't pretend to be anything else. Even though they're a bit screen heavy maybe, there's a sense of great design simplicity. It's hard to put into words, but as Tesla are Tesla, Porsche are Porsche. And they're going for it aren't they.
My 4S is on order & due for completion end August to be with the Dealer mid-Sept. At my age, the 4S has sufficient power and with the 19" wheels that gives me the best range for travelling from mid-Scotland to the S.W. of France & back twice a year.

Just ordered the Taycan Cross Turismo 4. It's the base but I like it better than the base Taycan since it's hatchback and 4 wheel drive. It will arrive mid August. Not locked yet, I keep flipping between a cherry with the 21 inch design wheels (as shown on the mamba green one) and a silver with the 20 inch off-road wheels ice gray one) with the savings applied to having the third display and four zone AC. I plan on using it as a road tripper so the silver may be better as honey and me can alternate playing navigator. Right now it's still the cherry. I have till the end of May to lock.
I don’t normally comment on videos on UA-cam but Rory and AutoTrader are producing probably the best car videos on UA-cam - mightily impressed with Rory especially - this platform enables you to show your true brilliance - you were wasted by TopGear - bravo and keep it up - btw the Porsche is sexy as hell and hopefully I’ll be able to afford one in a few years!
The only bad thing, is that we didn't get a car like this 20 years ago. Imagine if an ICE version of this had been made, instead of the Cayenne. This type of car is infinitely cooler than any SUV. That reality is the one I want to live in, not this one.

I read that the CT's ground clearance can be lifted an additional 3 cm above normal clearance with the air suspension (which already is 2 cm higher than the clearance of the Taycan sedan/saloon), but I'd like to know how fast one can drive with that extra CT lifted clearance...
I am from India, I don't see any estate models here, and I personally don't like that models, but this is really awesome, whoever designed it really nailed it, it's real craftsmanship

Taycan was always stunning but turning it into a wagon/estate car is genius. Doesn't look out of place and the wide body complements it whilst still looking sporty

Rivian is planning on adding them across the U.S. soon. Most campgrounds/rv lots also have 220-240v service up to 50amps. So you can bring your own evse and get 20-40miles of range per hr. Another program in the U.S. has provisions to ad electric vehicle chargers to every single national park over the next few year's. Tesla has actually donated many level 2 evse destination chargers to this program, which with a j177 adapter can be used by anyone. 🤔

An SUV/CUV cannot be cooler than the lower, sleeker version. Okay after watching this is actually cool, way better than any SUV. it's like the old volvo XC70 and audi A6 allroad
Porsche looks so so much more classy and understated than the Audi eTron varients of VW groups EVs. I guess it's a working class thing, to want a big radiator grill and fashion dents on the side of your car which is undoubtedly acquired on a hire purchase agreement, to impress the neighbours. No this Porsche is just a beautiful practical simple design, pure form and function. Love it
I hope Audi makes a version of this too. For some reason I think Audi estates just work...they look by far the best out of the german 3 giants (BMW, MB).
@@dannywhite3647 + Audi already has an electric SUV while Porsche still does not (since the EV macan hasn’t came out yet) so there isn’t like much of a need for another family friendly electric car which will only compromise sales of the SUV’s. But hey , maybe they will make one in the future who knows🤷🏼♂️
The tech is already there for 1000km on a single charge with companies like Tesla, Remic and Rivien, it’s just not production ready yet, it will be in the next 2-3 years. Plus with other advancements in battery tech from Tesla and the developmental Porsche recharge system that gives a full charge in 20 minutes, I think you’ll be fine in the EV future.
LOVE IT! Would buy it! I also love the Taycan Turbo S but would have a hard time choosing between it and the Audi e-Tron GT RS because I think the Audi looks slightly better. But I would have the Turismo over both because its looks way cooler in this form.

Cross Turismo all the way. It's basically an electric Panamera Sport Turismo and I loved that one.
I hope Audi makes a version of this too. For some reason I think Audi estates just work...they look by far the best out of the german 3 giants (BMW, MB).
We will have to see as audi i beleive have said they have no plans for an estate verson of the new e tron gt saloon. Maybe this will change that
