I have a case with 6 Corsair fans, Corsair AIO, Corsair Ram and a ICUE compatible motherboard and the only thing it lets me do is murals… doesn’t allow me to do lighting effects for everything synced
So just to be clear when trying to sync all your lights you need to make sure your selecting the lighting link option in the lighting type section. If your already doing that I can look into it more for you.
The "Lighting Layers" palette is completely missing when I click lighting effects. It just says "murals" and I can click on NOTHING. This is the most infuriating software I've ever used.
No the Icue software is not required. All it does is allow you to monitor temperatures and pump/fan speeds. If you want to actually control, it from Icue you would need to by a corsair commander pro. But you should be able to control speeds using your Bios and the colors can be controlled through other programs. The only downside is you wouldn't be able to customize the lighting to its fullest.
@@code101breaker7 ok thanks man! I just have my GeForce everything auto i don’t really like messing with all that, i just wanted to upgrade to the cooler with 3 fans and i just bought the ryzen 9 5950x
Alright, if you don't have one you will probably need a ICUE controller hub for it to show up. Otherwise ICUE has no way of detecting the device, if you tell me the case you have I can probably tell you if it has one. @@code101breaker7 No i dont have an ICUE controller but i am able to controll my Corsair RAM and the motherbord (ASUS ROG Strix Intel Z490-F Gaming) RGB with no icue countroller i was wonderit if it was possible without a controller or if i can use an NZXT Controller. And my case is an NZXT H510
@@laert2126 it's possible you could connect it to the nzxt controller. But the Ram works because ot plugs into your motherboard and is processing information all the power supply does is give it power. Thats why the power supply needs to be connected to something else to control it. It doesn't have any information cables connected to the motherboard until its connected to a controller hub.
I have the same memory, CPU, and motherboard as you do, also I have a Radeon video card. My cue doesn't look like your startup screen. Mine only shows memory. But all my sensors show everything else, mobo video cpu. I'm lost here. How do I get everything else to appear?
Alright one thing to remember is that iCUE is only for corsair products and Asus motherboards. So my home screen shows every Corsair product connected to my computer. If you don't own anymore corsair products then I don't think there's a issue. But if you have the same CPU cooler or other corsair devices that aren't showing up then pls respond and Ill look into it more for you.
If you have the old version of ICUE there are settings that can block you from adjusting things like the DPI, you'll want to make sure none of those are on. Let me know if that's 100% not the issue and I'll look into it more.
@@code101breaker7 I’ve downloaded all the latest software and everything.. redownloaded it multiple times and still would only be stuck in stages.. example if I wanted “800 dpi” it would put me to the closest one which would be 750..
If you want to turn off sidetone go to the headset and then to the equalizer tab, then there should a a slider on the left you can slide it down all the way. To turn off voice prompts for to the headset, go to device setting and it should be an option there.

I have been seeing bad reviews on the icue software is it needed if i am getting a cosiar cooler?? Or can I just have it without the software?
