Yup, you are right! That or grab it by head especially if you are going to keep it. Normally, you wouldn’t have that problem with other fish and I think I was little surprised that 2nd one choked 6” Storm Shad and the condition, I just tried to get it out of there. Live and learn I guess. I also caught 30.75” Striper earlier today so I’ll post that soon too. Thanks for watching.
@@dennyf57 Yup, lost 4 more lures in the Fall Run #01 video. Not sure what’s going on since knot failure started to happen this year. Switched to using swivel for time being till I figure out why.
I also have a quick question for you I just broke my tica dolphin had it for 2 months and they aren’t very helpful with the warranty I’m in the market for a better rod in the $120-$200 do you have any suggestions So far what I’ve come up with are these Tsunami airwave Penn battalion 2 Jigging world shadow (out of budget by $10) Off shore angler power stick I’m leaning more towards the Penn battalion but everyone I ask doesn’t know anything about it
Everyone’s going to have different opinions on this but for me, I would take Tsunami Trophy II 9’ or Airwave 9’ for around $100. For $200 max, I would go Air wave 9’6” which what I’m using in this video. That’s what I use as anything casting on the jetty. Such a versatile rod for the money. Of course, more you spend lighter, more sensitive, casts further etc but come at cost.
Awesome video, Hardcore conditions! I noticed that in both catches you tried to grab the tail. I think its better to use a gripper....

If you want to check on action of Trophy II 9’, check my PB Bluefish video from a year or two ago. That’s what I caught it with.
