A Truly Wonderful n Warm Tribute to Muhammed Ali. . 💐R.I.P💐 from one of the "most courageous boxers n Gentleman to step into the ring against the Greatest Heavyweight in History"a tribute oozing with Honesty n Genuine Admiration, 🌹Mr Richard Dunn, n also from another Gentleman, 🌹Sir Michael Parkinson who as with 💐Ali,💐had a lot of respect for each n other.👍🇫🇯🌴🇦🇺🌹😎
He was walking through the referee to get to Ali again even after the fight had been stopped. No quit in him. He done himself and Yorkshire proud. I've only recently watched his fight with Ali and I've become a big fan of Richard.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Dunn twice, through work, some twenty years ago. He was a grand fellow, happy to indulge me in all my questions. A good ambassador for all we Yorkshiremen.
Ali was everyone hero in and out of the ring, the world will never see another person like him. He was a hero and legend to all people of every walk of life. I remember thinking he would never die, he would always be here forever. I miss him so much, his death took a piece of my heart with it. I loved this man so much. R.I.P. Champ
Mr Dunn as just about every other fighter Ali faced had nothing but the upmost admiration, respect and love for Ali, not just for his skills but for his humanity and perseverance against all odds. A class act Richard Dunn
Nothing but love baby ! That's what it's all about . We all knew ali was the greatest without a doubt . It's great they became friends through all that . R.I.P muhammed
A fine man, this Richard Dunn… a heart as big as his dreams. I was a bit young to see this fight, but wish I had. Good on you, Mr. Dunn. You stood toe-to-toe with The Greatest. What an experience that must have been.
Richard Dunn you are a hell of a boxer and it is awesome to see you give kudos to Muhammad Ali you gave him one hell of a fight my friend you have the heart of a champion
Mr Dunn you are a very spacial human being you are a sportsmen and great gentelman l have a lot of respect for you.May Allah bless you and all your family
Richard had an accident on the oil rigs after his Boxing career was over and the first get well card he had was from Muhammad Ali .Boxers are the most wonderful people
It’s very easy to criticise mr Dunn he comes across as a decent man who did his best and no doubt worked hard for his family anyone who puts the gloves on and gets in the ring should be respected
specially at the end of the video .... not the only one who cried when asked about ali..another guy who was a fr4iend of ali and watched him once give 1000 dollars to 20 men in the street who asked him ...
I was gonna say something slick, after I watched the fight on another site, but thank YAHUAH, I did not. YAHUAH guided me to this clip, and now, I must say, I have nothing but respect for RD, because of his honesty. This is what the world needs now, pure honesty, which it has none of! Peace!
One thing is for sure, to deny Ali as being the greatest of all time, simply not agreeing with that statement, no matter what points are brought to the table, will automatically make you a villain. Does not matter that Joe Louis was champion for twelve straight years or that Rocky Marciano's record is perfect with an astounding KO percentage, or, for that matter, who beat him. He gets to be remembered as the greatest. Sounds fair, right? Right?
Thanks for the reminder. It's all in your perspective... is the cup half-empty or half-full? Below is a link to a story of the time I met Muhammad Ali and he invited me to be his guest at a party given in his honor. If you're an Ali fan I guarantee you will love, "The Greatest Meets His Greatest Fan." miraclemeditations.com/greatest-meets-his-greatest-fan/
Ali made every fight interesting. He was a self promoter. He could say things and you would laugh. Richard Dunn fought hard he gave it is all but he just didn't have the chin to be able to stay in there an exchange punch for punch with Ali. Ali's speed was more than Dunn had ever seen.
All the big names on Marcianos resume were waaaaay past their prime. He would’ve been disqualified in at least 2 fights if he ever fought outside of New York. Joe Louis defences we’re against the ‘bum of the month club’ that’s not his fault but to be the greatest you have to beat the best and Louis’ opponents were nothing more than journeymen. Ali beat the best in the golden era of heavyweights and his rematches we’re against guys who beat him, not the guys he beat. So, yeah that’s why he’s the greatest.
Very unfair dcasey!!! Of course he was outclassed but so was everyone who fought Ali!! Dunn was"nt a great boxer but 10/10 for heart spirit and determination He got in there and had a real go and gave Ali trouble unlike Joe Bugner How long would Frank Bruno have lasted? Richard Dunn gave a great performance and made it a very exciting fight
@THE QUIET MAN 1958 ??? Read what I wrote. I'm comparing him to the OTHER boxers who have fought for the World Heavyweight Title. Watch Dunn's next fight against Joe Bugner. Dunn was a clown.

Richard Dunn, real working class hero. guts, humility, kindness. Good on you, big man.
He was walking through the referee to get to Ali again even after the fight had been stopped. No quit in him. He done himself and Yorkshire proud. I've only recently watched his fight with Ali and I've become a big fan of Richard.

Maybe Richard Dunn wasn't in the same class as Muhammad in the ring but he sure made up for it in this video.Gentleman of the highest order.
Richard 👍
He is the greatest but Richard Dunn is only the same rip ali
Richard Dunne may have been one the worst Ali fought, but he always gave his best and still here and compass mentis.

true legend
What else you can add Richard dunn says with tears
"I wanted to chin him..not a prayer" what a comment.
Ali never had a boring press conference
Its a shame they closed down the Sports Center named after him
Dunn was a tough, very game boxers, and a fine gentleman, but he fought the greatest that night.
Say what you want about Dunn but he wasn't a runner. Took it straight to him
Mohammad Ali for ever champia

really tough man ....
My cousin once removed❤❤❤
I know the comment I'm about to make has become a very common UA-cam cliche, but how is it that two people gave this thumbs down?
That just how the world works Barry. But almost 99% liked it.
Thanks for the reminder. It's all in your perspective... is the cup half-empty or half-full?

Old fighter look frightening so bad, look at Richard Dunn. He's like a true movie villain
Ali made every fight interesting. He was a self promoter. He could say things and you would laugh. Richard Dunn fought hard he gave it is all but he just didn't have the chin to be able to stay in there an exchange punch for punch with Ali. Ali's speed was more than Dunn had ever seen.
Likeable bloke Richard Dunne

my favorite tim and eric actor, sad he died
Mohammad Ali can be great political leader
Not a particularly skilled boxer but lots of heart. Sensibly knew him limitations and got out of the fight game early (33)
Never heard of Richard Dunn until now Great Man?
You don't have to be famous to be great. You may, or can, be great too.
AJoshua too worked in the building industry before boxing.
“No champion will take a belt from America”
Tyson furs:hold my beer
Who's tyson furs? New boxer?
Wow!
Hey Richard you sure gave him a run for the money that fight could have went the other way 😉
He didn’t get knocked
Sir Parkinson still alive!! Great one also

Only henry cooper was competition to ali. Shame those gloves cut him up
Bugner went the distance twice with Ali.
oops, wrong dunn
Richard Dunn, nice guy but one of the worst boxers ever to have fought for the World Heavyweight Title.
Very unfair dcasey!!! Of course he was outclassed but so was everyone who fought Ali!! @@olliegreenway6383 Come off it, Dunn did not give a good performance.
@THE QUIET MAN 1958 ???
Read what I wrote.
I'm comparing him to the OTHER boxers who have fought for the World Heavyweight Title.
Watch Dunn's next fight against Joe Bugner.
Dunn was a clown.
@@dcasey77
You're a clown. An assclown.
He did his best who would turn down the chance to fight Ali? Now that would be stupid
