Thank you for sharing your times, tradition and family with me. I'm 70 now. No family. I appreciate you and yours.❤
We are all one big family. You are a big part of it! Lets enjoy this family time together!
Happy Mongolian Lunar New Year!
The spectacular centerpiece made me curious to learn more. Please correct me if I’m wrong: Wikipedia says “ Heviin boov (Mongolian: ул боов) is a traditional Mongolian biscuit assembled in layers… The individual biscuits are stamped with a wooden block that imprints a design unique to the family, passed down through generations.” I was happy to learn that Tsaagan Sat celebrations resumed after the peaceful Democratic Revolution in 1990, after being banned during the Communist Stalinist era. It is wonderful to see the preservation of culture going forward to future generations. Warmest Wishes to you and your family from San Francisco, California.
this particular one is called Ul Boov which means Shoe-sole biscuit because of its shape.
What a beautiful family! Your kids are so cute! Thank you for sharing your celebration!
Молодцы, чтите традиции👍 счастья в новом году! Привет из забайкалья🤗
Thank you for sharing the beauty of Mongolian Lunar New Year with your creativity! Wishing you a prosperous and fulfilling year ahead. Happy Mongolian Lunar New Year!
Would you tell us a bit about the bread structure that you built? Figured it must be significant in some way considering how big it is, but got no context for what it is
the main thing is no. of layers - young family without kids should do 3 and family with kids but at least one parent still alive should do 5. 7 if the family is senior enough and no living parents. 9 is reserved for state affairs- like the president or prime minister would have 9 layers if they are hosting state reception etc. the round top one ( and the cone shaped one) is not counted towards the layer. curds and candies should be sprinkled on top.
I guess the shape is meant to resemble traditional Mongolian tent - another symbol.
Seeing the vid and comments, it seems this channel does more to promote tourism and interest in Mongolia and its culture. I sure am
this music is a banger

I hope you and your family prosper and always remain happy! Happy Mongolian lunar new year!

👋😃
Thank you for sharing your Lunar New Year Celebration with your family with us Mr & Mrs Vaanching . Such a beautiful celebration . Happy Mongolian Lunar New Year Mr Vaanching and family may you all have a blessed year .
Vaanchig is his father name. It would be better to call him Batzorig. For mongols, women we never get husband's family name. And we don't really use family names to call someone. It's private. And someone would be just called like Vaanchigiin Batzorig (Vanchig's Batzorig). It indicates that Vanchig is the parent name. Also the person itself should never say their parents' name in order to show respect to their parents. Even if someone has a similar name, we can't say it out loud. Instead you can use nicknames.
@@hoolidii Ok thank you my apologies . In Canada it is different when addressing someone we do not know respect is shown by referring to them by their surname not their first name . Thank you for letting me know from now on I will call him Batzorig .
@@Thetis058 its okay, and I knew that it was different for you.
@@hoolidii Thank you . Happy Lunar New Year to you as well .
