Rocking with traditional Mongolian instruments is an exhilarating fusion of traditional sounds and modern energy. Here are some steps to help you rock out with these captivating instruments:
    1. Choose your instruments: Select traditional Mongolian instruments that suit the rock genre. The morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), the tovshuur (Mongolian lute), and the tsuur (traditional flute) are excellent options.
    2. Learn the basics: Familiarize yourself with the playing techniques and unique characteristics of each instrument. Study traditional Mongolian music to understand the scales, ornamentation, and rhythmic patterns commonly used.
    3. Blend traditional and rock elements: Experiment with incorporating rock elements into traditional melodies. Add distortion or overdrive effects to the morin khuur or tovshuur to give them a gritty edge. Explore different playing styles to inject energy and attitude into your performance.
    4. Create catchy riffs: Develop catchy rock riffs or chord progressions on your chosen instrument. Combine traditional Mongolian melodies or scales with rock-inspired phrasing to create a distinctive sound that merges the old and the new.
    5. Amplify the instruments: Use amplification and sound equipment suitable for live performances. This will ensure your traditional Mongolian instruments can be heard clearly alongside electric guitars, drums, and other rock instruments.
    6. Collaborate with rock musicians: Team up with rock musicians who can play electric guitar, bass, drums, and other instruments typically found in rock bands. Together, explore the fusion of traditional Mongolian instruments and rock instruments, blending their sounds harmoniously.
    7. Experiment with genres: Don't limit yourself to just rock. Explore other genres like folk-rock, world fusion, or even metal, and see how the traditional Mongolian instruments can enhance and bring a unique flavor to those genres.
    8. Engage the audience: Perform with energy, stage presence, and confidence. Rock music is all about connecting with the audience, so engage them with your passionate performance, unique instrument choices, and the infectious energy of traditional Mongolian sounds.
Remember, rocking with traditional Mongolian instruments is about embracing the spirit of both traditions and pushing boundaries. It's an opportunity to create something new and exciting while honoring the rich musical heritage of Mongolia. So, let loose, experiment, and let the traditional Mongolian instruments add their distinctive magic to your rock performances.

They're excellent! I didn't know one could start throat singing at such a young age, but they sounded great. It's very inspiring to see young people practicing their cultural traditions and being constructive.

I notice the pentatonic part is a little bit different than the Western one. But then how come the non-pentatonic sounds just like the Western one?
