She was talking about the alley they had made up and it looked like they were getting back together. Until......Sonny was arrested. when she went to see him in jail he told her that long talk she wanted was started to sound real good. Hope this helps

After he left there, he went to Brenda's room at Kelly's and waited til she got there. She turned the light on and there he was!! (Find the Alley scene and it's right after that)

Sonny made an informed choice to marry Lily and once he agreed there were rules Mafia rules and he knew that. He COULD have taken the sentence but did not want that. Sonny made a CHOICE
