Thank you for the great video as always. There is a lot of construction going on in Belgrade and the surounding area. Hopefully they'll clean up some of the graffiti and get more done before our visit this summer. Skadarska Street is getting rebuilt after water, sewer and electrical work, St. Sava is almost done, ect, ect. As you probably know, the country is offering free vacines, pick any of the four available, to tourists.
@MKE Dan Your thoughtfulness is always much appreciated! Thx for watching and for your support! Belgrade is beautiful now. Skadarlija streets are back to normal. They look like nothing had happened now. We just spent some time walking through St. Marks, the park and gardens surrounding the church. The tulips and flowers were everywhere! You should have a wonderful time this summer. We've been on the waiting list for the Pfizer vaccine. We were offered Astra Zeneca and we declined due the the negative results. A couple days ago Serbia cut off vaccines to foreigners. We would need to be a residence to obtain a vaccine right now.
Go further and explore Kosutnjak, Topcider, Ada Ciganlija ( runaway hub of the city ), Gardos and Zemun. Tunnels below the city, and so on. But I somehow believe you’ve already did it. :)

1:00 Basicaly Serbia is historicaly border between east and west, you can feel that on every corner of Belgrade. Half of the city is former austro-hungarian, basicaly austrian empire. We had to leave after 90 days at the end of last year. We went to Croatia for 90 days then back to Belgrade again. We are in Belgrade now. Hope you are able to visit Belgrade and Serbia when lockdown has been lifted for you. All the best to you 😊
It's still very interesting how 99 % of all tourist videos are made like max 1,5 km radius from city center. Every tourist forgets the whole New Belgrade, Avala, Kosutnjak, Topcider etc etc. But on the other hand, if they don't know about that, how will they film there. Belgrade is so much more than just the narrow center area.
@scandmaster You're right! All of the areas you suggested are lovely. We like all of Belgrade old and new. We have a video we are working on that will cover areas outside the city center. Also, a video on Smederevo, Ram and Golubac Fortresses. Serbia and the welcoming kind people have stolen our hearts. Thx for you comment.
@@WeierOuttaHere I think that in order to see the best of Serbia it's necessary to get away from Belgrade. Capital cities are nearly always atypical. I'm in the UK and London is markedly different from anywhere else in the country. A place well worth visiting is Topola where you'll find the tombs of Serbian monarchs and some impressive frescoes. Not far from there you'll find some spa resorts where you can buy excellent mineral water like Knjaz Milos. Although you find Serbia very affordable, please remember that in the not too distant past day to day life for Serbian people was precarious.
Hi, can I ask something, if you don't mind. Actually, I wanted to know exactly in which date you have shoot this video. No one , at least, majority of the people on the streets are not wearing masks. I am watching the video on 6th May,2021. Is there not any restriction overe there regarding covid protocol in Belgrade now? Or, is it safe to go outside without wearing masks. This is just an enquiry, nothing else.Thank you 👍🏻
Thank you for watching! We’ve lived in Belgrade just about 6 months. We have been through several lockdowns where masks are required inside. But, for the most part, masks have not been required outside.
@Zoran Tomic We have only seen it from the other side of the river. We do have it on the list to see when it warms up. Please let us know if there is something special we should do or see? Thanks for the comment.

@BJovke We are still here in Belgrade. Tours haven't been available, so far, with covid lockdown. But, things might be opening this next week. 🤞 Which one do you suggest we go on?
@@WeierOuttaHere There's a site "Belgrade under Belgrade" run by Zoran Nikolić, an expert on Belgrade underground. There's a contact phone there: beogradispodbeograda.com/kontakt I think the price per person is 1000 dinars for a tour but it's possible to arrange out of schedule visit but then the price is higher, depending on the group size.
There's a network of tunnels below st Marko's church and the park with the German bunker from WW2. There are also tunnels below Kalemegdan extending to various parts of the city. Kalemegdan also has a tour of 1948 tunnels when Tito was preparing for attack from Soviet union which did not happen. There's also a network of tunnels below Terazije, deeper than pedestrian tunnels. Any one of these tours is interesting.
Here's the Kalemegdan tour, 1948 bunkers, Roman well and gunpowder storage room with Zoran Nikolić: ua-cam.com/video/eHobfY0dpME/v-deo.html There are also other underground tour not related to Kalemegdan.
@BJovke Thx a million for sending this information to us! I will look for a tour! Sounds very cool! We heard there was a crypt in the underground tunnels. Do you know if that still exists? Hvala vam!!
when was this filmed ???? I mean Skadarlija is in ruins now , its restoration for the third time in last couple of years coz of stupid city governament
@John Stromboly You're right, Skadarlija is a bit of a construction zone right now. As of yesterday it looks like the project is about halfway completed? The cobbled streets have been returned to their original state about half way up the street. We used our video from right before Skadarlija was torn up. We wanted to show Skadarlija in it's best light. It is such a wonderful place to hang out. It felt like we were in a movie set when we took this video a few months ago.
just so you nkow to obtain a montenegro citizenship if you are not born there costs alot. Roughly 350k euros. they have less than 1 million total population. @Janet Alessandra Thank you too for watching!😍
Thank you for wonderful video, Sveta Petka church is my favourite church , it is so beautiful and when I am in Belgrade I am always going there,no matter of the weather.Sadly , it is simply avoided in the most videos about Belgrade. You got the point ❤️
@Mirjana Milosavljevic Sveta Petka is such an intimate and heartwarming church. When we walked into light the candles my eyes welled up with tears. There is something very, very special about the church and the entire grounds and setting. We are so glad that you wrote this comment. Hvala vam for watching and for your support!
@@WeierOuttaHere You are more than welcome, sadly I left Serbia and Belgrade due to the illness of my son,now I have only few relatives and friends and graves there , and your videos are bringing back lots of happy memories,St Petka church, green markets ,Belgrade’s zoo (still can fill the smell ,it used to be old fashioned trolley station nearby)......
Belgrade has changed so much, but you had managed to get to the hart of Belgrade
Belgrade (Београд) literally means White City , but sadly it is no longer white (graffiti......)😥
Come back to the White City ❤️🇷🇸
@Mirjana Milosavljevic So sorry to hear your son was ill. We hope that is doing better now. We are delighted to read your comment and so happy we have helped you to revisit your homeland. Belgrade has stolen our hearts. 🇷🇸 Thx for watching and for your kind words. All the best. 😊

@Groovaholic Thx for watching and the kind comment…much appreciated!
Имамо само једну Србију, чувајмо је...

Go further and explore Kosutnjak, Topcider, Ada Ciganlija ( runaway hub of the city ), Gardos and Zemun. Tunnels below the city, and so on. But I somehow believe you’ve already did it. :)
@Ivan Stanojevic Hvala for the suggestions!! We have been to almost all of the tips.... except Topčider! We really appreciate your time to help us out and fill us in on what to see and do! Thx for your support... all the best! 😊

1:00 Basicaly Serbia is historicaly border between east and west, you can feel that on every corner of Belgrade.
Half of the city is former austro-hungarian, basicaly austrian empire.
Other part, old town, including Skadarlija (it is turkish name for the street) is former Ottoman empire.
During history, whole city changed owner bilion times. Celtic, Ilyrian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Serbian, Austrian, Ottoman, Serbian,...
If you like GERMAN architecture and central-european vibe, visit: NOVI SAD(1h, take a bus or car), SOMBOR, SUBOTICA, VRSAC... 100% german feeel.
If you like priental feel, visit Vranje, it is the most southern biger town in Serbia, arounf 60 000 people. Also Nis, former Nisus, brth place of Constantine the great... Nis is food capital of Serbia. The best quality of real serbian food in old serbian restaurants. If you want cheap life and cheap but good food, visit Kragujevac. Kragujevac is the most serbian city in Serbia. Former serbian capital. 4th the bigest city, after Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis. Lovely video.. yes yes.... You have shoot it during October,2020.. nice...👍🏻
@Biswaranjan Nandi Thank you for your comment and for watching our videos! It is much appreciated! Yes, we used video over our 6 months living in Belgrade.

Not to worry! The wonderful thing about Belgrade is…everything is very close in Stari Grad (old town) area. You can walk a little…then take a rest in one of the many cafes and parks. You can enjoy the beautiful architecture and people watch while having a cold beverage! Taxi’s and public transportation are fabulous, inexpensive and very easy to use.

Where's the underground tour of the fortress??? Don't tell me you didn't go on at least one visit...
There's a contact phone there: beogradispodbeograda.com/kontakt
I think the price per person is 1000 dinars for a tour but it's possible to arrange out of schedule visit but then the price is higher, depending on the group size.
Here's the Kalemegdan tour, 1948 bunkers, Roman well and gunpowder storage room with Zoran Nikolić: ua-cam.com/video/eHobfY0dpME/v-deo.html
There are also other underground tour not related to Kalemegdan.

Albania n Montenegro which country is good for settle n job n buss is good
@Hamdan Shaikh We would suggest Serbia or Montenegro over Albania.
just so you nkow to obtain a montenegro citizenship if you are not born there costs alot. Roughly 350k euros. they have less than 1 million total population. There is also some strange political issues going on in montenegro as their president has become sortof a dictator and is oppressing some things but none the less it is still a great country.
