- This is the Lego Santa Fe Train. I acquired this about a year ago and wanted to show it off! I think it's an amazing train. The video includes a 360 of each train car, the inside of each, a cost breakdown, and a video of the train going around my large ceiling loop. Please subscribe to see more like this.

i guess lego said reason Lego stop selling that set they was losing money something do with track and motor mold.
They should make a B-unit
I have a full set looking to sell. I have the regular super chief, any suggestions of who I can sell this off to?
Aw man i really want this so bad but i only have one made of both my own and ordered parts, the hardest parts to get were the grey slipes used for the roof and the red arches for the front, i also have the two figures for the locomotive, found them online and decided to buy them
That’s nice you got the parts to make your own. Some of the parts for this set are cheap and then there are ones that are very expensive because they only come in this set or just a few others. In time you can get this! I have been building my collection for years and I’ll acquire things here and there
James Mathis also designed an EMD-B unit, an El Capitan and a pleasure dome carriage. I have an earlier variant of his pleasure dome car, but I don't have the B-unit nor the El Capitan. Hoping to get my hands on the instructions some day.
That’s good to know. I never though to check out Mocs for this train. I will look into them and probably build some variants. I’m sure they will still be pricey lol
Very cool! I love the Santa Fe Super Chief sets. I too have 4 cars and two locomotives, though I converted my locomotives from EMD F units to ALCO FA units, with a modification to the nose of each locomotive. Cool to see a review of these sets!! Thanks.

I want to ask 2 things a more in depth review of the set of the kit actually and also do you think its worth buying the kit that costs 2900 from bricklink or buy them separately
I Can do a more in depth review for you! I recommend buying them individually and getting what you want. One locomotive and 2-3 wagons is a great start:)
If you like stuff to be new and sealed there is one kit sealed for $3250 available now but I think the used is a good option

I still have my Super Chief from when i was a kid, unfortunitly been a kid at the time i could only get the train and missing out on getting the carrages! love to see videos like this of them all made up now! Great video!
I remember seeing these in catalogs when I was younger and never had them. I can not believe I have a full one today. It must have been awesome growing up with it! The super chief is one of my favorite engines!
@@leggomyjameso6082 I had to take the motor from 4512 just so I could get it to move! need to get it all out again one day so I can see it go around again.

Same happened to me. I was 7 in 2003 and my father (grateful enough) purchased just the engine. Wish I was older then and I would have easily completed the train and probably more!
@@leggomyjameso6082 it definitely was great growing up with this thing. over the years as a kid i slowly assembled the full train. one time when i was on vacation with my parents we went to a toy store and they had the cars there. i begged my parents to get it for me, i think it was the final car i was missing.
good memories. still one of the best looking trains they've ever made.
it probably worth more then $2500 today. very very nice lego set you got there, I think that train was released in 2002

them train cars i see them selling for sealed box for $500 to $600 each. engine train selling for $300 to $400 not to sure about the limited edition

IMO it's hilarious what those cars are selling for today. I have 2 of those locos but unfortunately got too late to the party for the cars. My fix was to build/ MOC the cars in new light grey with aftermarket stickers - cost me a fraction of the originals and look almost exactly like the 'correct' sets.
Honestly I think the Santa Fe and BNSF locos + cars are worty being reintroduced as Legend sets
