    They have to finish cleaning the inside corner welds manually because the automated arm (tool) is not capable due to the cutter being round and windows 90 degree corner.

    Very cool. I just visited a fiberglass window factory in Ontario Canada. Very similar process. Just on a smaller scale. Thanks for the tour.

      Fibertec or Inline perhaps?

      @@gregcorwin8316 Inline. I know if Fibertec, although I've never seen their products up close. From what I gathered from my tour. Inline sells their frames to other manufacturers. I'm not sure if Fibertec makes their own. I'd love to learn about their windows some day.

      @@HoustonWindowExperts we just started selling windows and doors at our store. visiting factories really helps to explain the subtle differences between brands to our customers. We're working on building a display similar to yours in order to move the windows around the showroom. We're literally the only design centre in our little city that takes the time to explain the differences between product lines. It's fun to educate.

      @@gabrielchartrand6342 It's also my understanding that Inline sells fiberglass lineals to other window manufacturers.
      Is your showroom in Ontario?

    Hello! Thank you for all this helpful content. Do you have any opinion about Vistamark vs NT Windows for the Dallas area?

    • @HoustonWindowExperts
      @HoustonWindowExperts  Рік тому +2

      Thank you for watching and your question. I actually sell both of those products and I like them a lot. I would say that the advantage that Vista Mark has would be that they have a laminated product if you're looking for a black window. Otherwise, these are both very comparable products.
      I think that the most important decision you will have to make is who's going to be your installer and who will service the window should it ever have an issue.

    Do you recommend the brand ProVia? I'm deciding between Andersen 100 vs ProVia.

    • @HoustonWindowExperts

      I have never worked with it but I have seen it in person before. It looks like a very nice window to meet but I think it is a little chunky and steals a lot of your glass space.

      @@HoustonWindowExperts thank you! I agree. I think the frame is like 3.5”. Pretty large.

    So, one of the downsides of vinyl is that it expands/contracts more in weather than aluminum or fiberglass. I'm assuming that most American windows are like this video, correct? However, I'm also looking at vinyl tilt/turn European windows. Most of those it seems, use a steel core that goes in the frame, whereas it seems most American windows do not (maybe some do). Obviously this steel core adds strength. However, does it drastically reduce the amount of expansion/contractions as well? Probably can't get close to like a fiberglass, but I really want to limit it is much as possible in my weather if I go with vinyl.

    • @HoustonWindowExperts
      @HoustonWindowExperts  Рік тому

      Steel is needed for a tilt in turn because of its operation type. Since vinyl is soft, it will need that steel reinforcement in the center. Unfortunately, all of the products I've seen from Europe lack support in the USA if you ever have warranty claims.
