Was torn between Anlin and Okna. Went Anlin, it had almost all positive reviews online vs mixed reviews on Okna. A lot is on the installers but a few of the negative after care support reviews on Okna got to me.
I had okna 800 series installed last year and so far it has been excellent for north east winter but Jeff is correct that it is very bulky. The windows are great functionally but the bulkiness of the design decreases a lot of glass space and not as aesthetically pleasing as other brands. At first i liked the look of the frame design but i think i would have preferred something simpler if it means having more glass. Also at the 11:15 mark, Jeff notices that the locks dont always line up when you close the window. I noticed that as well on mine when i first got it but i realized that when you close the bottom, the top window might actually slip down very slightly and cause a mal-alignment of the sash lock. All you have to do is make sure the top AND bottom windows are completely pushed closed (top all the way up, bottom all the way down) so they are aligned correctly when locking the window (a bit tedious but a very minor design flaw). I'm not exactly sure why the top half comes down a little when i close the bottom, could be due to the magnetic seal causing a little shift and pulling down? Either way, still very good quality vinyl window for a reasonable price. Overall i am happy that my home is warmer and the windows are definitely top quality and great on their features.
No vinyl window is engineered more so than OKNA's anti-drift top sash tech in the head extrusion of both the top sash the header cavity. I've sold and personally installed over 10,000 OKNA DH's and never had a top sash drift on me. Also, it's not bulky at all in the vinyl industry. Maybe compared to a fiberglass unit. When I rip out wood windows and size to the rough opening, the homeowners are amazed at how much more glass. The keepers on the top sash are adjustable for correct lock to keeper alignment. It's like a quarter turn on two phillips screws.
Hi Jeff, Im in the proces of replacing my windows in CT. I have watched all your videos and am about to go for Infinity. I have also heard about OKNA Starmark. What are your thoughts on this? Anything better than Infinity within the same price range?

I wasn’t pleased with Atrium quality of the glass or frame after have done windows on several properties with different products. Lancing brand and Lowe’s Relia built windows are rebranded Atrium windows. I think MI windows would be a good option for your price range, slightly more expensive than Atrium.
I don't even know where I could see one at. But I have to go to China or do they ship them to the US? If you have one, send it to me and I'll take a look.

I spoke to the contractor who installed, and he had very positive things to say both about the product, and ORIDOW, the Chinese manufacturer. Because I’m buying a single, very pricey unit from them, I just wanted to know what they were about. Anyway, thanks again, and good luck growing your channel. Mark
As a Miter/Sunrise dealer too in addition to OKNA, the Restorations will have a tiny bit more glass but at the cost of very weak sill on that MI product. It has thinner walls and no sill dam and is prone to bowing. The Restorations line has Duo-Tech locks and an extruded screen.

What is your ranking with vinyl OKNA, provia and pella?
Okna and ProVia are great. I'd avoid the Pella if you have the other two.

I just contracted for OKNA 600 Eco Pro windows.
And now they are installed. So far I love them. And my installers were great (Aluminum Co. of NC).

Hey Jeff, what are your thoughts on Wincore 5400 versus Okna brand.
You can't go wrong with either one. Wincore is actually made by Sterling Simonton and his team. (It's a little nicer than the Simonton window)

OKNA glazes in-house with that Duralite non-metal spacer. They don't outsource their IGU's. It's not Cardinal glass.

How does this compare to MI windows restorations 5500?
Very close in quality, features and performance. Restorations has the edge in aesthetics.
I hate MI. I used to be a dealer for them and I could tell you many horror stories. I would avoid them at all cost.
The restoration line is from sunrise. MI purchased them about 2 years ago.
