My experience in running short distances is Twenty years. During the last 2 yrs, I finished five half marathons. After deciding to aim for a full marathon, I followed this marathon training program “Zοrοtοn Axy” (Google it). Book very informative and a lot of great tips. I had been able to finish my first marathon and got to a Boston marathon. .
Scott Whitten I recently read Meb for Mortals where he goes into nutrition in moderate detail. I am not exactly sure what is philosophy is about macronutrient proportions. I do know he focuses on quality foods and lots of organic foods. He said his daily routine consists of peanut butter on toast before his morning run, either a turkey sandwich or omelet after he runs, and lots of fruit throughout the day. I don't remember what he said about dinner.
he's getting his proteins from meat and he's following an athlete diet... why is he not getting his proteins from something that is not meat... BECAUSE HE CAN'T! MEAT IS THE BEST SOURCE OF PROTEINS! Listen to me vegans... listen to me well! Awright you may go!
Yes, because an athlete diet should consist of carcinogenic, fat filled, cholesterol filled food, saturated with amounts of antibiotics and chemicals. Man, nothin' better than that to achieve greatness.
(they're pretty good.) OH and did u know that 30% of the calories in brussel sprouts are from protein? a runner's diet should have 15-35%ish protein. so, u know, the 28% in white kidney beans, the 100% in plant-based protein powders, the 10-20% in seeds/nuts. good stuff
He's great. Much respect to him.
Just a tip. Maybe it would be good to lower the background music a little bit. Its a little bit hard to hear the talking on some of these videos :)

ELITEFORCEZ hmmm... not sure if it counts as “long distance” more like middle distance ...
Yeah, like the other guy said, those are considered middle distance including the 3k.
5k run is the first long distance.
TargaryenLeader51 the shortest distance for long distance running is a 5K duhhhh
You may call 5Ks long distance, but 5Ks and 10Ks are actually only long middle distance
