After the success of my first Pentatonix reaction, it was time to dive deeper into their music. The video that was requested most, was their Daft Punk medley that won a Grammy for best arrangement. Let me tell you, it's something else..

The thing that gets me about this video is that it is so well done that you don't notice there is no music. It's like they trick your brain into believing they have music in the background.
Off the top of my head Kevin sings in Mary Did You Know, Away in a Manger, Imagine, Amazing Grace, Run to You, and a little snippet at the end of Say Something. He has a beautiful tenor voice.
Thank you, I had planned to react to Amazing Grace next so that is perfect 🙂
He also sings in Sing and The Evolution Of Michael Jackson. And he speaks in Can't Hold Us.
He has a solo in A Little Space featuring ATEEZ.
He raps in Sing and Butter/Dynamite
Kevin also has his own channel (it is simply called KO). I am not sure if he sings but he beat boxes while playing other instruments, which is how Scot found him before PTX was PTX. :)
Ok, you're now one my favourite reactors😁 The way you spoke about mean comments was really cool and classy! I hope they didn't get you down, I mean, it's just youtube and we are here to have fun, it's not your job to make all people happy.😁
Loved this video! So nice of you to learn the singers' names. And I love your pure genuine emotions ☺️
Scott sings really high in 'Problem', it's pretty old but very nice.
Thank you for the video 💖
Thank you so much! I completely understood what they were talking about, it was just the way they said it that I didn’t like. I really appreciate constructive feedback so I could make this video better and I did 🙂 Thank you so much for your nice comment and the recommendation! 💛
@@CarmenReacts you’re doing a great job. Don’t let the turkeys get u down & keep doing u 🥰😎🥰
Avi pronounced Ah-vee. They are magical right? Between the rhythm section (bass/Avi and beat boxing Kevin) what a dynamic duo. I cant take my ears off them. lol I'm with you, I hear the warm bass most. This was filmed in Avi and Kevin's apartment and as you said, they won a Grammy for it. And the purest harmonies with solos from all the others Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado and Scott Hoying. They all get a moment to shine. You did a super job reacting to this video. It blows everyone away.
It’s absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to listen to more of them! Avi’s low base note fills my ears with joy each time!
You're going to love their entire catalog... my personal favorites: Gold; New Rules x Are You That Somebody; Havana; Amazing Grace; When the Party's Over; Coffee in Bed..... that's a start. LOL Looking forward to your reactions. :)
Anything Pentatonix and Home Free will make your subscriber count grow, they share the same fan base and we can never get enough of watching people react to them ❕❗
Also 7:23-7:25 I saw a bit of a Mitch slap, Mitch face moment ❕❗ 😅
Welcome to the rabbit hole since you have decided to dive head-first into it. And now I'm a subscriber to your channel.
Ahh Vee. "Imagine" would be a good one to hear Kevin's voice. That's the reason for both earbuds they sometimes switch from left to right channel and back. 5 extremely talented people creating a wall of sound. " Sound of Silence"...enjoyed your reaction!
‘Imagine’ is at the top of my list! Thank you :)
And this Grammy-winning piece was produced in one week on a budget of $400 using Avi's closet for their sound-booth.
Haters will be haters...you do your channel the way YOU want to do it...all reactors grow...they've all been there...I'll tell you this ...don't even waste your time blocking the haters...your time is valuable and NOBODY reads hate comments anyways...other than to give them shit...sooo...REAL people will be on them for you...don't waste your time...Love from Canada!
Interesting facts: They first performed as a group on the Sing Off, which they won. Scott, Mitch and Kirsten have been friends since they were 10 years old. This video was filmed in a closet for $200. This video is a medley of different Daft Punk songs sung at the same time - its incredible how they did it!
There is an off-mic private performance of this song so you can see how they can perform this without even volume enhancement. Also, you might enjoy the live version of Hallelujah from their Christmas special. You can see how well they reproduce their songs live, and it’s also easier to see each part performed, which you said you missed in the official video. You can also actually see Scott take over the bass when Avi sings the lead, so that is a fun bonus.
I hope you caught some of the panning done that is heard best with both ear buds in. When Avi is singing Television Rules the Nation, you can hear Kirstie singing Around the World in the background, and it was brilliantly mixed to start in your left ear, move to the center, and then end in your right ear. This is just one of the many reasons the fans were adamant you have both buds in. You might miss some of the subtle-but-brilliant details.
Great reaction!
Thank you so much for your kind reaction. I’ve seen the private performance video of this song, it’s sounds exactly the same as the recorded one, insane! I’ll pay more attention to the panning next time, it isn’t something you immediately hear the first time. Thank you again! 😊
Carmen, first and foremost welcome to the Pentaholic family. You'll find that it works a lot like a traditional family, slightly disfunctional, completely insane, not people you want to introduce your friends to, but always there for you no matter what. It's always so nice to see someone's first reaction to Pentatonix and, though you did one reaction video to them previously, I would consider this your first reaction. I applaud your effort on the first one, but I'm super glad you listened to the advice of people who've been around the scene. This reaction, this video, was the good stuff.
Okay, here comes the part of the comment that gets really long. I'm hoping, though, that you'll read through it. Here is some history, in case you didn't look it up already. Ready?
Scott and Mitch were childhood friends, I believe they met in kindergarten. When they were in highschool they met Kirsty, and became fast friends with her. They started singing together, outside of the choir they were all a part of, and formed a group they just called The Trio ( Either that or other people just called them that, I'm not exactly certain how all that went down. ) After highschool they moved on to college, as one does, but they never really stopped singing together. Then made other contacts, of course, including one Mr. Ben Bram, who does all of their videos. Among other things, I'm sure. Sometime during their 19th year Scott had the bright idea of trying out for a relatively new singing competition show called The Sing Off, which was on NBC. Unfortunately, they had to have a minimum of 5 members to compete in the show and there were only three of them. Someone told them about a guy they new, a really great bass singer, Avi Kaplan, and the fit was automatic. They still needed that special something to push them over the edge, though. And, that's when someone pointed Scott to a little UA-cam video that had recently hit 900K views. That video was Kevin beatboxing while playing the cello. I don't know how much you know about the cello. All I've learned has been because of Kevin. But, people who can do more than play it, and play it at the level Kevin does, and remember to breathe are impressive. Kevin? I swear that man is from another planet!
Well, once they got Kevin to agree to join the group, he turned them down originally, they were off to the races. They practiced remotely, online and via phone, for awhile before the show started but didn't really have long. Their first in person practice session together took place two days before the taping of the first episode of the singing competition they would go on to win. When you have the time, either as a reaction ( which I'm sure we would all LOVE to see ) or off camera, please take the time to go through Pentatonix's Sing Off journey. You will not be disappointed. In any event, as I said, they would go on to win their season ( season 3 ) of the Sing Off, which included a recording contract with Sony Music. For whom they cut one album, and went on one tour...and were promptly dropped by the label as being not mainstream enough to be profitable.
So, of course, they did what anyone in their situation would do; they gave up.
Okay, okay, okay I'm kidding! I don't think any of them would know HOW to just give up. They started posting videos on UA-cam, of course. Covers of popular music, covers of classics, medleys and mash-ups and originals, Oh my! They gained a huge following and, after making a video in Kevin and Avi's kitchen closet with a ring light, a cheap Halloween smoke machine, some drug store contacts, some Halloween make-up, and some sunglasses Kevin had laying around ( spending about $400 total to make the video ) and leaving it to their friend from college Mr. Bram to edit the video and do some sound production for them...they picked up a Grammy!
They also, surprise, surprise, picked up another recording contract.
The rest is pretty well known history. The past 21 years, yeah it's been that long, has been pretty well documented. Scott, who was 19 when the group won the Sing Off, just celebrated his 30th birthday ( Happy Birthday, Scott!! )! Gods, he's getting old. Lol.
Anyway, that's all I've got. Thought you might like to know.
Great reaction, loved seeing your face when Avi really dropped the bass on ya, and seeing you react when the full sound hit you in both earbuds! This was a MASSIVE improvement over your first effort, and the perfect format for reacting to PTX. Congrats, Carmen, you've made it. Thank you for putting in all the effort making these videos takes, it's appreciated. Subbing now, and can't wait for the next one!
Thank you SO much for your comment and all the information. I consider this to be my first proper PTX reaction too 🙂 I’m looking forward to react to more of their music!
Carmen! Very loveable reaction, especially the one where you said "I don't know what just happened ".... you are handling this reaction very well. New subscriber today. Love your individuality with your commentary. Keeeeeeep goinggggg! 😃💓
When you said "I don't know what just happened in my ear ..."; those of us who've been watching music-reaction videos call that an "ear-gasm". I'm not being crude, really I'm not - that's what it's actually called!
BTW, eventually everybody settles on somebody in PTX as their favorite, or maybe two favorites. I have two, Avi (Ah-vee) and Kirstin; Avi's low notes are awe-inspiring, and Kirstin ... well, she has *that voice* and she seems *so very* sweet (almost as sweet as you!), and she is so - I guess the word would be 'alluring'!
I'm really into Avi because I can often match/harmonize with him and because I tend to sing in the same range he's covering in most songs; of course, he's a few notches better than I am (although I have gotten several compliments about my singing), plus he can go a fair bit deeper than I can go!
So ... who's your favorite so far??
@@ephennell4ever I think Avi is one of my favourites too as you can clearly see how I react to his voice haha! Thank you for your kind comment!
You should react to Sound of Silence next so you can meet Matt. Matt replaced Avi as the bass in 2018. Matt has a pretty solid range too. He's really good. I'm so happy you found PTX they are amazing
yes also matt sings the full song lead in "you're a mean one mr. grinch" so that is a good place to start if you wanna see matt!
@@StephanieStarfall Matt is so talented. He fits in with the rest of the group really well
The three part harmonies of Scott, , Mitch, and Kirstin are so tight. They have been singing together since high school as The Trio. Avi (Ah-v) and Kevin were picked up to form Pentatonix to compete in the Sing Off (they won). Those very first 12 performances are worth a reaction. You need to watch those to the very end.
"There's a human being on the other side of this screen" - very true and commenters really need to keep it in mind! Thanks for reacting to my favorite group! I know it takes a lot of work
What she said ☝️
Girl, don't apologize for errors in past videos. You're a young creator. Mistakes will be made. People will understand that you learn from your mistakes. Stay strong.
Such a wonderful reaction. If you would like to see the talents of Kevin (beatboxer) please watch "Down (Marian Hill KOver) - Kevin Olusola." The whole group is fantastic. Thank you for sharing.
I agree. Watch "Down" and you will be blown away by Kevin.
When he hits that falsetto! She’ll love it.
As I read through the comments, PTX fans have pretty much filled in the gaps. We are good at that! LOL. We love it when a new reactor loves PTX as much as we do and we love sharing that wonderful Sound they make. Good luck on the journey and many happy hours of ear candy. When I have a bad day I pop in some PTX and they lift me to the moon! Avi has his own YT channel as well and I think you would be impressed with the song Change On The Rise. It's kind of tribal to me but beautifully haunting. I love his voice. I love all their voices...! Enjoy!
From one Carmen to another….enjoy the ride! There are several videos where Kevin sings. Imagine is a good place to start.
Thank you so much 😊
You might enjoy seeing the similar "Zoom call" visual arrangements on the music they did during the pandemic lockdown: Linger, Blinding Lights, Home medley - and also the very fun 90s Dance Medley. These will also introduce you to the new bass, Matt Sallee, who took the bass position after Avi left. ETA: They are on tour again. They are doing a Christmas concert series in the U.S., and then starting in mid-spring, a short European tour, perhaps coming near you. Check out their official site.
Welcome to the fold. Great reaction and I agree on negative comments.
One of my favorites from PTX is "Sing" which is an original. You get a chance to hear Kevin rap.
Thank you so much for your recommendation!
@@CarmenReacts Sing is wonderful, you can’t help but feel happy when you hear that song ☀️
Watch Kevin do s solo one man band thing with his looping device - his name is Kevin Olusola and he does an amazing version of Marian Hill's "Down". It's really a piece of work and he can really sing.
What everyone has failed to mention is. They made this video in Kevin and Avi's apartment, in the kitchen and closet for $400.00 dollars. And yes won their first Grammy for it.
Hi Carmen. Thanks for posting and for the insightful comments. PTX are out of this world and I’m looking forward to more of your reactions. Subbed!
Thank you! I’m just getting started on my PTX journey but I love it so far!
And that's why headphones were highly recommended!
Your reaction is so sooo beautiful! I'll be glad to see your reaction and to Voiceplay, another amazing a cappella group! :)
Thank you so much, I would love to check them out soon! 🙂
Kevin also has his own YT channel. Check out his cover of Marion Hill's song, Down! Truly amazing! And PTX has a new album dropping Oct. 29 and they posted a new tour schedule!
Good for you!! Block the nastiness and maintain good mental health! Lovely reaction ❤️
Sound of Silence really shows Scott's range.
So imma give you some songs that highlights each one of them.
Kirstie: "My Favourite Things", "Seasons of Love", "Be My Eyes" and "Wizard of Aaahs"
Mitch: Aha Singapore, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", "Can't Hold US" and "Love Again"
Kevin (in which he sings): "Imagine", "Amazing Grace", "12 Days of Christmas" and "Sing"
Scott: "Sound of Silence", "The Prayer", "Papaoutai", also if you watch their version of Hallellujah Live you'll see and hear better how he covers for Avi in the bassline.
Avi: "Love Again", "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", "Imagine" and "The First Noel"
Hi Carmen! I'm Loving your reaction and welcome to taking the journey that is PTX! There is a lot of great content for you to go through, including a singing competition that became the catalyst for this group's creation.
I've just subscribed to your channel and it's always great to see an interested fan become a fanatic, or "Pentaholic" if you will. The group accepts the term "Pentaholics" as their fan base.
If you would like to react to their Sing-off competition and how they came together; Their Sing-off was on NBC, season 3, in 2011.
Thanks for a very nice reaction! If you would like to see a more recent video and get "Kirstin slapped" at the same time, try SEASONS OF LOVE from the PBS 4th of July Special. It is on the Capital Concerts Channel and does not seem to give reactors a lot of copyright problems.
Thank you, I definitely want to see more recent videos, thanks for your suggestion!
Oooo also Say Something has Kirsten on Lead
Carmen, you're delightful and I love your reactions. Please keep reacting to Pentatonix, they have so much for you to enjoy.
Such a fun reaction, thank you very much! ❤️ Don't apologize for being a fan, we would be insulted if you wouldn't become one 😉 I've seen your Sound of Silence reaction, where you hear Scott low range. If you are curious about his high range, check "Problem". You'll be blown away 😁 And it has a few Avi and Mitch suprises in it as well 🥰
Hi Carmen, you are probably the nicest and sweetest reactor I have ever seen. You seem very kind. Pentatonix actually changed the music industry with this song. Before this song a cappella was not part of any category at the Grammys. But because of Pentatonix and this song it is now part of a category. And this song actually one the first Grammy for this renamed category. If you want to know about this group let me know and I will try to answer your questions but you seem to exploring them on your own. I would consider you a Pentaholic yourself. Keep up the good work and stay sweet.
Thank you so much for your nice comment! 😊
Welcome to an incredible adventure! Pentatonix never disappoints!
Hi Carmen! Many folks get blocked...so you're not alone. You're fine! We understand how frustrating it is. Thanks for providing Pentatonix!! All the best!
Thank you!
You got a Pentatonix through! You're on a roll now.
I can promise you one thing...the more you learn about Kevin, the more in awe you will be. As far as his singing, he closes out their outstanding version of John Lennon's "Imagine" and takes a vocal turn in "Mary Did You Know", among others.
Imagine is at the top of my list to check out next, thank you!
@@CarmenReacts can’t wait to see you react to Imagine, besides the beauty of their cover, it’s like each member is sharing something personal with the audience and concludes with a meaningful message. Besides their unbelievable talent, I think part of the magic of PTX is their beautiful souls and the joy they share with the world. Aren’t we lucky these people found each other??? ☀️☀️☀️
Subscribed. Just so you know, REAL Pentatonix fans are not jerks. They take their cue from the group and are as kind and compassionate as they are. Great reaction!
Loved this review from you; it was a vast improvement over your first one. PTX songs like this one, which is now eight years old, will probably not get blocked like their newer ones due to its age. It's so old, they just don't care. At the end of the video, they mention their song Run To You. You should check it out. It's very nice, pure harmony with all five of them singing; no beatboxing at all. It is an original of theirs, written by Kevin and Avi, which is pronounced Ah-Vee. When they sing it, you can hear a pin drop in the venue.
Yes, please react to Run To You, it’s stunningly gorgeous ☀️☀️☀️
First, thank you for coming back to PTX!!! I was concerned your first experience with comments would turn you off, but you're very professional and classy in the way you "shut it down"!! Might I suggest you check out their newest originals released off their "The Lucky Ones, Deluxe Edition" which includes Midnight Train to Tokyo, and my favorite, Little Space!!! I am a fan of you as well!!
Nope, I enjoyed their music too much to let the comments turn me off them! Thank you for your kind comment and your recommendations!
You never change sweet girl! I look for your reaction videos first everytime I go to listen to reaction videos. You are so FUN.
Thank you 😊
Great reaction! I watch multiple reactors reviewing the best music. After awhile, the reactors become the entertainment almost as much as the music we are listening to..
Another new subscriber here! Don't worry about the haters. We Pentaholics have your back! My suggestion is for Run to You & Light in the Hallway. They are both originals and both lovely!! But honestly, I've never heard anything that wasn't wonderful from PTX. I'm looking forward to your trip down the Pentatonix Rabbit Hole.
Thank you! 😊
For Kevin singing I would suggest "Imagine" or "Mary, did you know?" but that is a Christmas song, so you may want to hold off a few weeks for that.
Honey don't let those negative people bother you like you said the block button is amazing.
I'm a big fan of Pentatonix and I am loving your reactions. I watched a lot of others react as well. I love the way you talk about them and give your thoughts. Thank you. I see this was nearly a year ago, so I'm assuming someone else gave or detail or you found it yourself. Found that their label they got after winning The Sing Off had dropped them. They recorded this in one of their closets or something like that. Amazing talent. I will keep enjoy their songs again with you as I work through the ones you have reacted to.
Thank you! I have definitely learned more about them since this video and I appreciate them more with every song I hear 😍
They did a great job singing this song they are so great I would love to see you do the prayer it’s a Beautiful song. Keep up the good work.
Class act, Ma'Lady! Enjoyed the reaction too.
yay, a new Pentatonix reactor. If you listen to them, we will come ;) Avi left a few years ago and got replaced with Matt. I do not believe they have a single bad video... go watch Hallelujah live from the Pentatonix Christmas special, to see them sound even better live than they do in studio recordings
I’ve listened to that one. It’s amazing! 👏🏻
I've been in the rabbit hole for a longtime. Enjoy the journey my friend.
Welcome to the PTX rabbit hole! I appreciate the effort you put into getting your first reaction up on UA-cam. I love Avi's voice also - I can totally relate to your response to him. Though I'm sure you also love each voice for it's own unique qualities! And thanks for taking the time to learn so much about them so early into your reactions! Many reactors take much longer to get them straight. I've subscribed, and look forward to following you!
Thank you! Yes Avi’s voice was the one that impressed me the most in both video’s I’ve seen so far but I like every single one of them as well!
Great job reacting to this one! It is quite a learning curve to try to figure out all the technical aspects of song reactions and youtube and copyright blockages. You seem to have learned quite a bit since the last PTX reaction. Keep it up. I suggest "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "Amazing Grace" as additional PTx REACTIONS.
See that you got Mitch-slapped during his first high pitch run. If not reviewed already, definitely recommend "Kiss From a Rose" to see both Scott's range and, I think, Kevin's singing.
I like that you set a strong boundary. I respect that so much. It’s hard to do.
Thank you so much! 😊
Great reaction and have fun on this journey discovering PTX.
That was soooo much better:) got my sub and a thumb 👍:) great reaction and good job with the homework 👏 lol. Glad you are into it and like learning about them. Too many reactors seem to really not care about the things that are important to us fans :). I love watching your eyes dance around trying to follow things around :). Also the look you gave when Avi nailed the low note😆.Glad you enjoyed them. Welcome to the Pentaholic Rabbit hole! 💞
Don’t let the haters bother you. You are doing great. I’m looking forward to more reactions from you.
Thank you 🙂
There is such a rabbit hole to follow when getting into Pentatonix. I think you will enjoy it. Love again is their first original song made around the time they did this video.
Mary did you know is a great cover to hear when the Christmas holidays hit or whenever, cuz it's so beautiful and shows off their range so well. Btw, in this song, you can see Kevin singing. He has a soft voice.
They collaborated with Todrick Hall on his Wizard of Ahhhs project. He is another talent that has a rabbit hole of his own to get into.
Later, there's Superfruit, which is Mitch and Scott's own yt channel. Yeah....you'll be entertained with this Pentatonix for some time. Enjoy.
Thank you so much!
Just discovered your channel. Sorry to hear you had mean/rude comments on your last reaction. You have a great personality and hope you will enjoy the ride with Pentatonix!
I loved your reaction; it fits my style. Pausing for commenting, go back 5-10 seconds not to miss anything, you are genuine… everything is great!
Thank you so much!
You’re doing great! All we want is a genuine reaction. 🤩 You have a great OMG face!
Try “Can’t Hold Us” Lots of bass and some fun rapping.
Thank you! 😊
Looove this one! Also one of Mitch's highest notes if I'm not mistaken
Please react to their Sound of Silence. Its amazing!
I’m new and love your reactions to this amazing group.
Thank you so much and welcome 🤗
Just found your channel, huge pentatonix fan here. By the way, your eyes are amazing.
If you get the chance to react to their cover of "Amazing Grace" you'll get to hear Kevin's clear tenor and if you watch their cover of "Radioactive" you will get to see him beatbox while playing his cello.
Amazing Grace is on the top of my list for my next Pentatonix reaction! Thank you for your comments 🙂
@@CarmenReacts I want you to know that I shall always endeavor to keep any comment that I make as pleasant as possible.
@@LeeCarlson Thank you, I appreciate that!
Really wonderful reaction! You're a natural at this whole reaction game! There are lots and lots of reactor's out there and I'm VERY selective as to which one's I listen to! You're channel is very inviting and you seem to really enjoy what you're doing. I will follow you... :) Keep 'em coming!! You're doing GREAT!!
Thank you so much! 😊
I'm probably repeating suggestions from others, but here goes anyway ...
Bohemian Rhapsody ... one of the most
amazing presentations, partly because
Mitch does a *mind-blowing* 'guitar
solo' - *without* a guitar!
Amazing Grace ... generally considered
to be a *stunningly* _gorgeous_ piece
both aurally *and* visually!
Say Something ... if you really _listen_ to
the words, you might need tissues, as
it's a very emotional song!
90s Dance Medley ... if you've spent time
going out to the clubs, you'll probably
recognize a decent number of the 17
different pieces they put out here!
Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairies ... this
is a true 'tour de force' of talent - keep
in mind this is a piece of music with
*no words* being performed by PTX,
a group with *no instruments!*
Sound Of Silence ... simply a *great* song,
performed *beautifully!*
Mary Did You Know? ... another beautiful
Christmas song, sung so *very*
wonderfully!
This is a good start to your travels as a Pentaholic (which you obviously are!), but there's *so much* to check out, and _everything_ by them is *at least* a 'four star' piece!
*Enjoy!* _[Subscribed!]_
Thank you so much for your brilliant suggestions!
Great reaction. I always recommend new reactors go back and do the "Sing Off" performances 1-12. It gives you their origin story, all of the performances are live, and there generally aren't any UA-cam blocking issues. All of the Pentaholics love different members for different reasons and while I can admit each member has their own stunning talent, for me it's Kevin. ( I am a percussionist so I am a bit biased) I like to say many modern artist use an 808 and PTX uses a KO8. Much love and keep on keepin on J.
As usual PTX makes the reactor smile. Welcome to the rabbit hole. Kevin sings in Evolution of Michael Jackson, Imagine and Amazing Grace. He plays cello and beat boxes in Say Something.
Carmen, you're a wonderful soul! Don't let trolls bring you down😉👍
Welcome to the obsession 😃😃 so glad you joined us
I highly recommend checking out their very beginnings. They were on an A Capella singing competition called The Sing Off (season 3), and they won, but this was when the formed Pentatonix, just weeks/days before the show. Here is the first performance: ua-cam.com/video/9STdbGrfCLA/v-deo.html Do watch the judges comments.
Good for you! You are a great reactor. I love PTX. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
I've recently discovered your channel. You're an absolute delight! Enjoy your journey!
Thank you so much, welcome to the channel 💛
Great reaction! Very much enjoyed this.
I'm probably late, but Mitch is a counter tenor. He has a very high range. It can be very surprising when he hits these notes that you don't expect. Try their version of Can't Hold Us. The Prayer and Can You Feel the Love tonight are also amazing.
If you listen carefully, Kirsten is singing 'around the world' during Avi's part, in the background, and again near the end. I didn't notice it at all until it was brought to my attention in the comments of another reaction video to this.
Songs included in the medley:
- Technologic
- One More Time
- Digital Love (Kirsten's part)
- Get Lucky
- Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
- Television Rules the Nation
- Around the World
Fantastic RV! 5 stars!!!!
Also. Everything you hear can be and, is singable LIVE. They make sure of this.
Mary did you know is a cover where Kevin the Beat boxer does some singing and his voice is incredible I would highly recommend it.
Don't know if it's been mentioned, but they have a early original called. " Sing " where Kevinp sings almost raps
Nice reaction!
PTX absolutely SLAYS "Bohemian Rhapsody" you HAVE to watch it!
Laugh off bad comments. I have almost made a career of reacting videos and you are quickly zooming to the top of my list of favorites...love it!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Kevin sings in two videos at the end of each - Bohemian Rhapsody (although it looks like Mitch is the one singing at the final chorus, it's Kevin), and more clearly, at the end of Amazing Grace. If you want to see him featured, Amazing Grace is the easier video to see and know that it's Kevin singing solo for his bit.
Amazing Grace is at the top of my list so that’s perfect! Thank you 😊
Great reaction. Well done on having no time for the rude trolls… stay strong; I hope us Pentaholics are a friendly and supportive group in the main. If your looking at other reactors too, then I’m sure you’ll learn more from them than I can give you in tips. Just be true to yourself, which you seem to be, and keep on saying how the music makes you feel.
Thank you! It doesn’t bother me too much, I just can’t stand rude people that seem to think there is not an actual person behind the screen. Thank you again 🙂
not bad for $400 video just shows you what great talent can do
Very nice reaction. You are way ahead of most reactors with the work you put in to learn names etc. I recommend Run to You and Amazing Grace (where Kevin sings some) and Evolution of Michael Jackson where Kevin sings a little as well. Radioactive and Mad World are my top favorites too along with Happy Now a recent original by PTX as is Run to You.
Thank you 😊
Love your PTX-reactions! Subbed for more 😊
For Kevin singing- high pitch: Imagine, Amazing grace or Mary did you know. For middle range: A Little space (featuring Ateez)
To hear Scotts range: Problems (high pitch) or Sound of silence (low)
Thank you for your suggestions!
OK. It is a little bit soon, but I think you are a Pentaholic! Welcome to the club! Loved your reaction, and I think you understand better why we want you to use both headphones. 😁 I love the see thru thing with the video, and probably helps with the copyright stuff. There is a Halloween Christmas song called Making Christmas they do that is alot of fun. I hope you can fit it in before Halloween! 😁😁😎
Thank you!
Hi Carmen! I just discovered you with this reaction video, and you are delightful! It was great to hear your comments about one of my two favorite acapella groups! The other one is Home Free, and if you haven't checked them out before, I strongly encourage you to do so. They are a "country-flavored" group, but they can cover any genre. If you do check them out, a great place to start is "Man of Constant Sorrow"....and keep telling yourself that EVERYTHING you hear is human voices. 😁 Also, GREAT JOB blocking rude people! You should not have to put up with them (nobody should have to), so just block them and move on in the mature and classy way that you did.
Again, great reaction! Oh, and you have a new subscriber! 😁
Thank you so much! 🙂
You are adorable! I'm sorry you received rude comments on your last reaction to Halleluiah. You have a lot to look forward to if you continue to react to Pentatonix. Thank you!
For a song with Kevin singing try Imagine. Welcome to the rabbit hole.
Mitch is an authentic countertenor, so all high tessitura lines are easy for him! Avi is a basso profundo.
Good video reaction. Like your comments about replies. Their origin story starts with season 3 off the Sing Off. 2 of their
original songs are sing and love again and all of their vids are good. Thanks for posy !
Thank you, I will definitely check those out soon!
Blow off the negative comments, some people are just mean. You are doing a good job. Always learning and growing. Keep it up.
Thank you!
Kevin Sings in a music video at the end call Amazing Grace.
That’s at the top of my list to watch right below Imagine, so I’m definitely checking that out soon!
For a song, where Scot showcases his range: check out „Havanna“!
