I like the bulb cyclops. I know it’s not the “purist “ iteration, but I think that adds to the appeal. Every hipster loves the No date, makes me hate it,
Great videos. Rewatching to get some travel ideas for the wife. What hotel or resort did you stay at? Any recommendations for a resort in Thailand or the Malaysia region?
My father's been wearing his 14060M almost daily for the past 15 years, and currently has it on his wrist during our yearly vaction on the Costa Brava in Spain. As for me, I chose to bring my Sinn U50 on a grey, two piece, zulu strap. Perfect for the beach, and perfectly "baby proof", which comes handy with my 15 months old boy.
@@SteelmoonWatches Whenever you make an excusrsion in HK, give me a buzz, would love to hook up. Just post a response under that thread to let me know.
Hey nice to see you in a new green setting! Not the usual office. I think you should try an Erika Original's strap, as they are elastic they hug the wrist, and no strap ends to tuck in. Erika spins her her own strap material!
I would have chosen a rubber strap, like the one i have from everest. Ilike the looks of it and they are easy to dry. Enjoy that nice spot, i'd love to scuba 🤿 there!
On the basis of what you said about the charm of the five digit sub, I think you'd love a Doxa, in particular the sharkhunter (black version) would be great for you. There is the 300, but the 300T is even better, less than 2000$ and 1200m waterproof. Its hard to understand the charm and comfort of this watch until you put it on. Its classic and fun at the same time. And the dial, despite so many elements on it, its just works, the super legible dive tool. Cousteau loved them and sold them. Its the perfect replacement for any Seiko diver, as a watch for fun or travel. I have the 300T Carribbean and wear it on a yellow Erika Originals strap. By the way, Erika started making those straps for her husband and his friends who are divers and Doxa collectors. Enjoy!
I love the sub no date, I have the latest ceramic, I wear it on a military green Isograne rubber strap, looks great, very comfy, and I keep my bracelet minty mint
Thanks Thomas. Sadly since I got the 14060m the Seamaster just was surplus stock. It did nothing wrong but just literally sat there. I do miss it on the rubber tho
Inspiring video for the pre-ceramics, working out and travel. Also the description of the 911 shifts made me wanna take my M3 for a spin. Love your videos.
Great vid! Love the romantic getaway with your watch…. this may catch on 👌🏼😊 . You used to have a polar 16570 from memory and you rated it highly…. would you consider another 16570? It’s on my future wish list. Pre-ceramic def the right tool and companion for this environment. Travel safe !
@@SteelmoonWatches Yeah thought that was the case, I remember you speaking highly of it. I’d love one. Can remember considering them and wanting one when I first started getting more heavily into watches and thinking they were a bit too $$ for a second hand piece … eeeek Fark. They have more than doubled in value in past 7 years making it a bigger outlay.
@@SteelmoonWatches maybe we can catch up? Talk watches and walk around to watch places? How to contact you privately to arrange (if you wish)? I live in SG.
The Rolex no date Sub is the true “one & done” watch a connoisseur recognizes.

@michaelriera6277 I think people have got into the no date the last 3 years. Before that it was regarded as the lower spec watch

I usually stay with IHG hotels 👍🏼 smaller islands like Palawan - I do smaller hotels which have a good gym.
@@SteelmoonWatches awesome, thanks for the reply. Food and a gym are always high up on my list!
“Get out for the summer life’s short” *video cuts* 😂. Always enjoy your videos. Just good simple chat! 👌🏼
Enjoy the holiday! That nato strap is PERFECT for this environment! You are right: pre-ceramic screams no non-sense tool watch!
First comment SUPER PROUD OF IT: mISHKA ENJOY YOUR STAY :)
the Phillipines looks sensational

think how beautiful the bluesy would be out there in that setting?
I come here for watch talk, but enjoyed the additional thoughts today. Yep on staying fit. Yep on the vintage sub all the way.
the Glycine sub is a better looker IMO

Will give it a look mate
Hi Michael, where do you purchase your Nato strap froms (and what colour) - many thanks.
Just a mall mate, nothing special
I have recently bought the BB pro so happy with my purchase it's a fantastic watch , enjoy your break man.
bro, I wish I was there! love the content, solid as usual :)
Cheers brother
It's more fun to travel with a watch than a girlfriend. The watch is more reliable.
😂
😂
But more painfull if someone takes it from you…🙈
Europe is done, in general.
Nice scenery. You should try Ribbed Nato Straps, they dry much faster and hardly wear out.

I was recently in El Nido with my 116610. Great bonding experience for a man and his sub. Enjoy Palawan! My favourite place!

Hi Michael, looks like a good time! I chose the 14060M over the ceramic, so I can identify with you. Safe travels. John
The Submariner…Often imitated but never duplicated! Enjoy your journey. 🍻
Fantastic video and smart move removing the keeper. No need for the extra height. The no date sub is so classy
Great location - great video. Enjoyed it! Keep 'em coming Michael!
Aweso.e. i have my triton orient on my haveston nato
I wish the Sub and yourself a great holiday.
Mis great to see, enjoy your holiday.😎Be safe.
Great Video as always Michael, congrats love the 14060M. May I kindly ask do you still have the black dial SMP300?
Thanks Thomas. Sadly since I got the 14060m the Seamaster just was surplus stock. It did nothing wrong but just literally sat there. I do miss it on the rubber tho
Glad you’re back big Mike, only true watch people put a Sub on a NATO these days. Enjoy the trip!
