I had been weighing up the pros and cons of having square filters or circular ones on my Canon 80D. On my last camera, which is still going strong at 10 years old, a Panasonic bridge camera, I always used circular screw on filters. So then I decided to stick with screw on filters. Then I thought do I go cheap and risk the dreaded colour casts that everyone says are on them. Or do I pay more and get better quality, thinking like you say, buy cheap, pay twice. I always used Hoya ones on my Panasonic, that seemed fairly free of colour casts even on 60 second exposures. So then I found a lot of great reviews for the K&F Concept ones and a more expensive maker called Nisi. The range of Nisi ones aren't available on Amazon. I then saw on Nisi website, they do different variable ND filters, but I've not really trusted them to not get dark crosses at certain settings, though they are getting great reviews on You Tube. To my surprise though, they do a 15 stop filter, so I thought I'm definitely having that. I've ordered it and waiting for it now. I was going to get a 10 stop too, but they had sold out on 77mm ones, which is the maximum size I need for my lenses I have. Some lesser stop filters I can replicate on the Canon using the double exposure feature that allows you to stack up to 9 photos in camera without filters or simply take individual ones and stack in post. So I'm passing on any lesser stop ones till I have the money to buy them. The Nisi 77mm 15 stop one was £51 to me without VAT, as we don't pay VAT here in the Channel Islands. It was also on a black Friday deal too and came with free postage. Normal price the rest of the year, with VAT would have been £70 or £60 with VAT in the black Friday deal if I had to pay VAT. So I think I've got a bargain. Incidentally, their 15 and 10 stop filters are exactly the same price for the same size. I was expecting a huge difference. 🤷‍♂️

This video seriously deserves more views. Thanks for putting this together. Well done! I hope the K&F filters will fit in my 4x4 mattebox.

Nice to see a comparison against other filters, I have just ordered the K&F concept 40 in 1 filter kit, mainly to play around with, it does include 3 ND Grad, and 3 ND filters but I have been thinking about adding a big stopper in the near future. I was originally planning of getting a Cokin 100x100 filter for a little better quality and which would fit with the filter kit already on order but after seeing the comparison I may well stick and go for the K&F big Stopper

Excellent review. The best review of this system available. Did you also have the chance to try the ND64 and the ND8? They claim that the ND1000 has a new coating process to take away color cast but they do not claim this for the ND64 and ND8. Do you know if these two filters are as good as ND1000 for neutrality?

Thanks for the kind words Benoit! I was unfortunately not able to review any of the other filters, but I recently reviewed their variable ND filter and found a very slight warming cast.
