Thank you so much Nick. You have no idea how much I appreciate your classes. I am grieving and at times find it so difficult to function and really have to motivate myself to do one of your classes, but when I do I always feel better. 🙏💜
Another wonderful session. From the information and gentle but precise instruction to the beauty of your site to the sound of the water, a very effective class. Thank you, as always, Nick.
What a peaceful setting, Nick! Where about please? The little brook blabbering in the background is also soothing. This,. combined with the targeted Qigong moves is a quite potent mixture for which I thank you very much!
Thank you! Another great routine. You have become my go-to-person for offering routines online. I appreciate your generosity to share. I am unable to take courses due to feasibility. Blessings
. I do enjoy your flows, this one really resonated with me. Prior to this, I have been feeling energetically low. I felt as if I were just as energetic as a trickling summer creek. Still flowing, however not as mighty as months prior. A part of me felt as if just as the seasons change throughout the year, we as humans reflect the environment. Good Information, good practice. I feel awesome post practice and do express gratitude for your presence.
Late summer and autumn are always the hardest time of the year for me - as the hours of daylight diminish, I feel my spirits draining too, and these sessions with you are a real godsend as I always feel better for them. Love the soothing sound of water and the opportunity to live and move in the moment. Thank you so very much!
I have been feeling some discomfort on my stomach, lower ab, pelvis and saw this! Perfect. I also loved the moves here and the heavenly sound of sweet water. Thank you
Moving the upper thoracic in circle while lumbar is stationary, and vice versa, was a great exercise! Thank you kindly, Nick, for making this content available. I am considering your teacher training this fall.
This was a great exercise to relax our backs! We're 3 days in with a 30 ft trailer and an 8ft trailer creeping down to Missouri. Ouch my back! Thus was perfect for our little campsite. Qigong is my favorite!
Ahhh, feeling nourished and grounded with Earth now! Looking forward to teacher training with you soon. When do we learn the advanced practice of magical disappearance that you always do at the end of videos? :)
I was looking for a seasonal practice for ‘late summer’ and came across your video. Thank you Nick. I really gained a lot from this today. Your calm, smooth, Qi centred practice is great to follow. As a Qigong/tai chi teacher it’s great to learn something new for my own practice. Blessings from the UK.
Thank you Nick. After beginning to dabble with zen-swing style movement-as-medicine, I committed to a 100-day challenge. Now it's a daily routine and you are my go-to guide. Super combination of concept explanation and demonstration with just the right mix of breath guidance and energy intention!
Hey Nick, thank you for the great Qigong sessions. It's nice to see how you as a practitioner and your channel has been all growing, as I am an early bird in your journey. Good luck with all of that :) (*) I wanted to ask whether you could make a Qigong set for guys to activate masculine energy, sacrum, boost libido, confidence, fertility, increase testosterone ? - IF there are Qigong practises for that which you can show. All the best !
Great Video !! liver tapping (niacin?) i would caution when dubbing using terms left rt vs clockwise. For me it would be clearer stage left [everything in 1st person]. When following a F practitioner i act as if she is my mirror image (rt hand over left for ex). I have a pet peeve about changed play back speeds on the overdubs [sound tracks ?]
Hey Nick! Another nice video, thank you. Would you please explain how you differentiate "Earth Center" from Lower Dan Tien? I notice that you reference the solar plexus as the Earth center. I usually call this area the "Golden Court" . My guess is there is some overlap, but I bet you also have some interesting insights. Thanks!
Loved the practice, Nick! Is grinding the rice the same as the grinding the tofu movement I have seen you do in the past or is there a difference? Also , separating heaven and earth is my favorite QG movement (although not covered in the training 😞) .I LOVE all the variations you bring for it in your practices and am curious about their origins. ~Beaker
Ya, grinding tofu/rice is two different names I’ve heard for the same movement from two different teachers. I’m a bigger fan of rice so I started rolling with that haha also rice has a more beneficial effect on the spleen so it makes sense. Separating heaven and earth has its origins in the 8 Brocades. There are a million versions of the eight brocades and a million versions of that exercise to go with them :)
Thank you Nick. We heading into spring here in South Africa. I'm new to qigong so please forgive my lack of knowledge. Is this practice only done towards the end of summer? Take care an thank you for your understanding 🙏 😊
Hey Zaida, You can do this anytime you need help with digestion or anxiety! However, if you would like to do a seasonal practice you can check out my other video from this series: Qigong for Spring | Wood Element Qi Gong for Liver Meridian, Stress, Anger, Mental Clarity ua-cam.com/video/BzHkRHTUIcc/v-deo.html
Would this be good for prolapsed organs -bladder, possibly bowel? I have read elsewhere that prolapses can be due to weak spleen, but the exercises look a bit demanding if there is discomfort in the lower abdomen.
can all flows be performed during pregnancy too? i had heard that some movements are not recommended (sinking the qi, separating heaven and earth, knocking on the door of life, etc) thanks!
Earth element is connected to the bones, dense tissue like muscles and over all vitality, not the digestion. It is the fire element that runs the digestion. This is why it is not advised to drink a lot while eating. The water element shuts down the digestive fire and makes the digestion slow and troublesome.
According to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and 5 phase theory, earth element is indeed connected to digestion (muscles, too). All elements play a role but if earth element is weak (stomach/spleen), digestion will fail. In TCM it is kidneys/water that is associated to bones, and liver/wood that is associated with sinew.
Nice program, although when you mention Buddhism as a religion and say that people shouldnt consider qigong as being religious, i gotta say this. Buddhism is per definition not a religion. Its a philosophy, a way of life. A religion must have a God, which Buddhism does not. Also the word "religion" itself which means to re-bind or re-connect from the lating re-ligio, infers that we have lost something that needs re-connecting to. Buddhism doesnt strive for any of that, only for Nirvana which is their nothingness.
I am 93 years young and you help me stay that way
such a privilege to be able to do these classes - thank you so much
Aww thanks so much ☺️
Thank you so much Nick. You have no idea how much I appreciate your classes. I am grieving and at times find it so difficult to function and really have to motivate myself to do one of your classes, but when I do I always feel better. 🙏💜
Aw thanks Carla. Grief is heavy. Hope you keep finding strength to do what is needed for your body and soul 🙏♥️
Another excellent session!
Thanks Carol!
you are the best
what a gorgeous stone ledge that is, and such a wonderful practice Nick. Appreciating you!
Thank you for another great practice, Nick. Perfect timing as always, and I always love the nature sounds in your videos.
Thanks Freya, glad you liked it!
I've been practicing Qigong since 2008 and I always learn something new about a movement or how do something a little different from you. Thanks Nick!
Thanks Claudia!
Claudia, same here as far as practicing qigong. Nick is so soothing, and there is always something more to learn. Enjoy ypur practice!
Very soothing practice. Thank you Nick.
Perfect timing for this. My energy levels were low and worry levels high. Post flow I definitely feel more balanced. Thank you Nick.
Wow! Awesome to hear how it shifted things 😄
Another wonderful session. From the information and gentle but precise instruction to the beauty of your site to the sound of the water, a very effective class. Thank you, as always, Nick.
Thanks so much, as usual Evid! 😆😆
What a sweet setting for this qi gong practice! Love the babbling brook! Thanks 🙏
Gorgeous location! 🤩
Thanks! Near Sedona :)

Its just outside of Sedona Arizona :)

I believe those are Vivo Barefoot
