Once again Santee comes through for those of us who feel that our country today should still be as it was when Arizona was a territory. I have always felt I was born 100 years too late. Thanks for reminding me of that.
Me too Len. As a little girl, about the age of 8, I used to have dreams of traveling west with lots of wagons. In those dreams I'd see a grave marker of a woman and knew I never finished the trip. It did not scare me, I was more curious about it and who I had been. Still am ;)

While I am not sure if I believe in the actual existence of ghosts, I do think there are places that are definitely haunted by past events. Back in 1987, I had the privilege of visiting the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Standing on the memorial and looking down at the submerged ship, knowing that hundreds of men lay entombed beneath my feet, left me with both a sad and an eerie feeling. I got the same feeling yesterday when I visited a local Air History Memorial Museum with my two sons. The atmosphere was unnerving to say the least, especially when some model airplanes on a shelf began moving around by themselves! I only caught a glimpse of the planes but that was enough to convince me and my oldest son who was standing there with me that someone or something was trying to catch our attention! Thanks for another great video, Santee! Have a happy and safe All Hallow's Eve!
Nice! I used to work at a century plus old train station turned restaurant. The funny thing though is it was never haunted until I demonstrated the “Peppers Ghost” illusion. Now I hear stories of the paranormal…

My 1898 house has a Ghost Victorian Lady walk around with a white top, and a black skirt. Fred Harvey changed that with his Restaurants across the nation at Railroad Stations. He is buried here in Leavenworth County, Kansas. Enjoyed this episode, thanks for sharing Santee.
While I don't believe in ghosts... years ago I visited Cahokia, the Indian mound city in southwest Illinois. Got there late in the day so I walked around a bit, planning on coming back the next day, going to the museum and doing a proper visit. As I was walking between two mounds that looked like most of the others, I got the creepiest feeling I've ever had in my life. Once I got past the mounds the feeling passed. The next day in the museum I found out one of those mounds was a burial mound. I had no way of knowing that the day before. It's one of those things that convinced me there is a lot more going on in this world than we understand.
You're called "Ghostriders." You have a ghost as a mascot. Halloween just crept up on you? Just kidding. Happy Halloween and Best of Days to all the Ghostriders.
Looks like Santee got the starring role in the new movie "The Mummy Goes West." The Butterfield Stagecoach from St Louis used to stop in the original town of Atoka, Oklahoma. All that's left of that town are historic building place markers but the cemetery remains. The area became a State Park, later taken over by the Choctaw and Chickasaw Tribes. It is a wonderful place and we've camped there many times. The ghost of an older Native man has been known to wander the area. I'm not sure if it is the spirit of Choctaw Chief Allen Wright who during negotiations with the Federal Gov't (as they were forcing the Natives to sell off land) gave the Territory the name Oklahoma. It translates as Red People in Choctaw. Chief Allen Wright is buried in this cemetery. The older part of the cemetery has a very sacred and hushed feel to it. We'd leave sage and tobacco for the ancestors.
I also hate when people desecrate historical sights as even though it got turned into a restaurant people just write on it for no reason it just degrades the beauty of the adobe and makes it look more and more like a new York wall
Another excellent video Santee! Way Stations life was a major part of my ancestor life, forming best and worse of times. Though the early ones on isolated areas may have one building, my ancestor described a way station been run originally by sheriff and what was federal army and then by his father came out of the kentucky mountains and became the owner and the sheriff. Way station with mixed business, post office, general store, flop house, and some farming of cows and horses. Originally, it didn't have a barrier around it, but when the federal army came in more numbers it was built around the way station with gates at both ends, with one gate leads to a small town, the other leads towards to mountains of Kentucky and back trails.
My home is haunted by a former owner. She likes to pull on toes when you sleep and stare at you. But instead of scaring visitors she will pull your hair in your sleep for 3 days and if you don't leave she does. I like her.
Used to be that seeing ghost was not uncommon. The bible has a number of sightings recorded. Even more modern documentation called The Slave Narratives (an awesome read for a true perspective on slavery times) has it. Many of us have seen ghosties in our fields and roads at night.
Santee never disappoints us with these videos. This one kind of reminds me of the haunted attractions in my home state, Pennsylvania. Gettysburg, the Paoli Battlefield, Eastern State Penitentiary, Fort Mifflin, and a lot more. My state has so much history that it's not surprising that there are some historical sights that are haunted. Edit: I've recently took a haunted tour around my college campus and I've learned that it's full of history and ghosts. The place went from a train station, to an amusement park, to a small college, and then to a satellite campus of a bigger college. There are a lot of ghosts and folklore surrounding the area, but the one that caught my attention is called the White Lady that haunts a lookout close to my college. The story goes that a couple crashed their car while drunk driving. Although the guy survived, the woman flew out of the car and died, and she haunts the mountain surrounding the lookout.
We took a trip from OK to NH one fall to visit family for Thanksgiving. Travelin straight east and up through the Shenandoah Valley. Both my husband and I saw the ghosts still fighting the Civil War. I saw a group of soldiers pull a man off a horse right by the embankment of a road bridge that crossed the highway. It was just in the early pre dawn light. They were all in uniforms.
When I use to live in Louisiana I was involved in civil war reenactments I always on the south I was in company I of the calcasu grey's infantry. Anyways we were at sunset Louisiana doing a reenactment at an old plantation when I and other members of our outfit saw a ghostly woman crying by the creek apparently what the owners of the plantation said is that she goes out looking for her husband who died not to far from the plantation by a Yankee charge. Also, the inside of plantation is haunted, the move Gone with the Wind got there idea of killing a Yankee soilder at bottom of the spiral staircase there is still blood stained into the floor of the plantation. Another haunting is just down the road where you can hear caissons and horses crossing the bridge. This was the best place ever to do reenactments cause when on actual battle field you feel as your really fighting them Yankee's, I got so into it when in front of me the mud blew up in front of me I took cover behind the brest works and load a good three rounds and fired in one minute, my barrel was hot as heck. Fun times.
I've been reading alot about the Butterfield trail and have located most of the stage stops through New Mexico .. soon Im saddling up the mules and going to long ride it .. I hope none are haunted lol
There used to be a steakhouse in Oklahoma City called Cattle Rustlers. When you were ready to leave the host/hostess would hand you a pen or sharpie so you could sign the wall. Thanks again Santee & CO. There's a haunted stage coach stop in my hometown of Spartanburg S.C. named Foster's Tavern . It dates back to the 1830s . There are reports of the sounds of stage coaches where none exist . But the latest reports of paranormal phenomena center around a piano that resists removal through unfortunate accidents . The piano remains in place in a second story room , and is occupied by the current owners .
Hey Santee, I really enjoyed this episode about the haunted restaurant. And an interesting fact that you included about the Captain crunch cereal was just the ice on the top. aw, how sweet of you to think about Bones’ safety 🤣 and give my compliments to the ghost in the very beginning, that was truly scary. subtle is a lot scarier than direct 😱
Here’s some small paragraphs details from the old west scary Halloween edition story I’m writing: On the old west frontier polar continent of Hyrumund at the entrance to the Mausoleum caverns on Pyramidia hill in the Blackwood hills is the stage coach station known as Wickersham Station. The Wickersham station is now abandoned, its also haunted like so many other places on Pyramidia hill and the entirety of the Blackwood hills. The mausoleum caverns leads down to the greater Hathorulean catacombs deep below. The reason why the caverns are called the mausoleum caverns is due to the caverns having walls stacked high with human bones. There’s also branching out tunnels with shallow puddles of water that lead to pits filled with bones. Those caverns are also haunted and so are the greater Hathorulean catacombs. The entire continent of Hyrumund is full of hauntings and curses. Which stem from the ancient Eldritch curses triad. That was cast upon the world of terragartha by the primordial older than time etheric Revenants Abyssal entities only known as the Abysmal triad. I hope you all really like these paragraphs details from my old West Halloween edition story I’m writing.
I used to pass by Lil Abners everyday going and coming back from work, awesome to know its history. Went there for dinner when I was in Tucson as july, and it never disappoints
Great job and well done. I got a ton of old West Halloween inspiration for the first novella story entry Halloween edition in the novella collection series Mysteriarch Mythos anthology I’m writing. I’m definitely going to be adding stage coach stations to my old West/scary Halloween edition story I’m working on writing. The stage coach stations in the old west frontier polar continent of Hyrumund are going to be electric stage coach’s and stations. The setting in the story is old West teslapunk with electricity instead of steam.
Dear Santee, Happy Halloween. Could you do a video about water sources in the old west? Natural springs, "bad water," wells, horse troughs, water stations for the railroad, etc? I always wondered about how people stayed hydrated in the hot desert during the old west days. Thank you -John E Dingo
Very interestingly spooky yet informative and intriguing video, I really liked and enjoyed it. I learned a lot about stage coach stations in the old west and the one in the video.
Hey pard, can u tell me how many feet, not counting theres lol, that it took for the Earps and doc to walk from where they started to where they ended at the OK. Im sure theres at least one other person who would like to know. Mild Bill
OK, I did the Google Map thing to help. It's roughly 575 feet from the corner to 4th & Allen to the gunfight site. Now, how many Earp/Holliday steps that would be, I'd have to walk it and see. Next time I get to Tombstone, perhaps!

Boooo lots of spooks and goblins but the AGR logo appears on the wall then the depot of course the mug and checking out the grill this vid. Was timely and fun keep it up team !!! Thanx
You're welcome and happy halloween!
The piano remains in place in a second story room , and is occupied by the current owners .
oooo, spooky!
another nice one Santee, happy halloween to all the team.
Happy Halloween!
Love your videos Santee! Exfoliating the roof of his mouth- oh yes. Loved Capn Crunch!
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey Santee, I really enjoyed this episode about the haunted restaurant. And an interesting fact that you included about the Captain crunch cereal was just the ice on the top. I always thought it was just me. I do hope that you will do more about different haunted places that would be cool. 👻
In the town that I live in there's a lot of history as well and we have some haunted places too. Happy Halloween Santee 🎃🎃🤠
Cool, thanks!
Hey Santee! My church did a Trunk or Treat last night so I set up one with an Old West theme. Your channel has been such a big help in my journey to accurately represent items and outfits from the time period!
So glad to hear it. Thanks!
When i retire i am going to have to travvel the whle soouth west and see these amazing places.... if gas isn't 100 bucks a gallon in 20 years.
HA! Hope not.
LOL, don't ya love it when good friends stab you in the back. Hahaha...
Funny episode Santee, really enjoyed it.

Thank You!

That would be a neat place to visit and get a good ribeye. I'm putting it on my bucket list. Thanks Santee!
Any time!
Off-topic, but could you tell me where i can find some nice thick leather for a project? like a holster, hat, etc.?
Tandy Leather may be the most accessible, but there are many places to get leather shipped to you.
Fun times.
Sounds like you had some fun!
Actually writing on walls goes back thousands of years.
Mrs Santee looks a little pale there. And I suggest a glass of honey with a slice of lemon and hot water for her sore throat
HA!
Santee needs to be star in his own western movie 😁
Wouldn't that be something?
“Beans weren’t much good anyway”- Trinity
LOL!
I would totally watch a nightmare on Elm St 72 with that Freddy Kruger staring in it! 😂👍
He'd be so good!
AZ is full of ghosts. my house is haunted by a ghost we call the calico girl because of the dress she wears. happy halloween y'all.
No way!!! I love it.

@@ArizonaGhostriders Santee did you or someone one from you have send me a watsApp number?
I think it's a scam
@@ArizonaGhostriders I figured has much , thanks amigo 👍 have great weekend
Halloween must be Bill’s favorite holiday
Actually, he says it's "too busy with spirits" and prefers St. Patrick's Day.
Yea though I walked through the shadow of the of the valley of the rocky mountain west I shall fear no evil, as I have squared off with the elephant and will not be detoured
Mountain man
Nice!
@ Brazen Bill: "Age Quod Agis... In Pace Requiescat"
💀
He appreciates it.
Sorry for the late comment, but do you personally believe in ghosts, Santee?
I do. I have experienced too many things I can't explain.
Is that why they call them 'stage' coaches? Because they travel a route that is so long that it needs to be done in stages between stations?
Yup!
I had a guitar teacher when I was 14 and 15 named Santee but you aren't him.
I can attest to never knowing how to play the guitar!
Looks like Tom Selleck is haunting the place, too.
He will after he dies.
@@ArizonaGhostriders May that be many years from now.
The incidents of haunting you cited going on at the former stage station now restaurant leads me to believe that atleast one or more spirit cat's haunting the place and impartially behind the bar mentioned with all the stuff falling or being knocked over/off. Happy Halloween 🎃 ......... HERE KITTY KITTY 😺
Yeah, ghost cats would do that too
That's why I am sure that the earth isn't flat because if it was cats would have knocked everything off the edge a long time ago. 😺
Always great to hear more about the spirits of the old west! Thanks for another great episode, and Happy Halloween to you and the rest of the Ghostriders!
Happy Halloween!
i am on grammys channel, but wanted to tell you how much i like your content. ty santee
Awesome! Thank you!
Santee, wishing you a speedy recovery - or resurrection.
Thank You!
Oh my Lord - that last gag was a classic! I never thought the mild mannered, soft spoken Batjac could roar like that!
LOL!!!
aw, how sweet of you to think about Bones’ safety 🤣
and give my compliments to the ghost in the very beginning, that was truly scary. subtle is a lot scarier than direct 😱
Thanks again!
😁
Thanks for today's video.
Be safe out there, and take it easy man.
You too!
spooky good Santee!!!
Thank You!
Here’s some small paragraphs details from the old west scary Halloween edition story I’m writing:
On the old west frontier polar continent of Hyrumund at the entrance to the Mausoleum caverns on Pyramidia hill in the Blackwood hills is the stage coach station known as Wickersham Station.
😎
@@ArizonaGhostriders thanks 👍🏼🌟😎
Your all-right Santee, work it off.
LOL!
I used to pass by Lil Abners everyday going and coming back from work, awesome to know its history. Went there for dinner when I was in Tucson as july, and it never disappoints
So cool! It only disappoints the wallet.
@@ArizonaGhostriders but very well worth it
Great job and well done.
Thank You!
@@ArizonaGhostriders thanks and your welcome 👍🏼🌟😎
Dear Santee, Happy Halloween. Could you do a video about water sources in the old west? Natural springs, "bad water," wells, horse troughs, water stations for the railroad, etc? I always wondered about how people stayed hydrated in the hot desert during the old west days. Thank you -John E Dingo
Yes!
@@ArizonaGhostriders Thanks pard
Dressing the part - old West preacher would be great to see.
Yes, thanks.
Very interestingly spooky yet informative and intriguing video, I really liked and enjoyed it.
I learned a lot about stage coach stations in the old west and the one in the video.
Very cool
@@ArizonaGhostriders thanks😎🌟👍🏼
Exfoliating the roof of your mouth is not pleasant. I can’t say I believe in hauntings, but I sure enjoy your vids!
Thanks
@@ArizonaGhostriders you’re welcome, Santee. I hope you are doing well!
Y’all will never ever learn! Never turn your back on Dan!
LOL!
I heard Dave Hoffman used to haunt the joint, too.
Maybe.
Hey pard, can u tell me how many feet, not counting theres lol, that it took for the Earps and doc to walk from where they started to where they ended at the OK. Im sure theres at least one other person who would like to know. Mild Bill
Excellent question. I'll have to go over the court records and see exactly where they started. There there's math....ugh.
OK, I did the Google Map thing to help. It's roughly 575 feet from the corner to 4th & Allen to the gunfight site. Now, how many Earp/Holliday steps that would be, I'd have to walk it and see. Next time I get to Tombstone, perhaps!
One of my all time favorite steak houses. 😀
Same here!
