Lol. This is exactly how my first cement project went! I love that you showed that! Thank you!
You guys crack me up I love watching you both.. you made it work that’s all that matters beautiful ..
Added a laugh track! How Funny hahaha!! Can't wait to see this...
Lolol you know trying to keep it fresh
Great job guys. they turned out really nice. If you want the inside to be smooth as well you need to shake the cement in the mold while its still wet to remove the bubbles. You can do this by using your palm sander on the outside of the mold to vibrate all the bubbles out.
Oh! Great idea with the sander!!! Thank you!
Super cute! I can't wait to see what you all come up with.🤗
I made cement mushrooms with my grandson last year and love them so much cuter thank you for the idea
So cute! I love the mushrooms 🍄 idea!
I just love you guys and all your great ideas
Aw thank you!
Thanks guys you two are always awesome and thanks for the mistakes and overcoming!!! Great job 👏 guys!!
Thanks! That was a late night run to the home improvement store! :)
Don’t go chasing waterfalls Y’all! These turned out amazing! Of course they did! K&G made it! 💗☮️ love y’all!
Lol! Thanks Candice! You know Garrett loves it when someone acknowledges his mini sound clips! :)
Sooooo cute!!!
EEE thanks!
So nice love them and now we know what not to do -great job-i just enjoy watching the two of you-hugs
Glad you like them!
Cute idea! Concrete is not my thing though. Good luck!
Thanks! You too!
My husband said there was no difference between concrete and cement, so now I can educate him LOL...They all turned out really nice!!
Lol, now we're all a little more educated!. :)
Really like that. Going to share this idea with my hubs 😊
Please do!
Portland cement and beach sand makes beautiful pots....cement is what you need to make concrete....You're suppose to tap your containers to get the bubbles to the top....If you're going to paint your projects, mist them with water, it'll take the paint better....Take care
That's a great idea, thanks!
Way cool!
Thank you!
Oh I loved the gnome it’s something I think I’ll definitely try I have made pumpkins with cement I used stockings filled with cement then tied with string to make the sections they turned out great thanks for the gnome idea x
We debated on the hose method, I still want to try it that way!
I love seeing fails. It comforts me to know that it’s not perfect (like mine) on the first try. Our motto at work is Be wrong WITH CONFIDENCE! That motto follows me when I craft.
Lol! Yes, that's us! :)
Lol...This reminded me of when I tried concrete crafts. Luckily my neighbour who works in concrete helped me. He said you should never use part of a bag of any concrete or cement because parts of it can settle to the bottom and shaking them to mix is impossible. Now I buy the premixed containers unless I am doing something that takes a whole bag!!!
Oh! Good tip! Definitely didn't know that!
Cool! How about a lg planter for outdoors? You've got me thinking to!!!!
Maybe one day!
You could put a little dowel for a drainage hole for the plants
That's not a bad idea~!
These are cute. Love the gnome. He would be so cute on a bigger scale painted for a garden. Love yard art that isn't able to walk off my property.....if you get my drift!!!! Giggled at the added laugh track in the background during the first attempt....nice touch. Kim, Garrett needs to wear cut proof gloves when using sharp objects. Thought he was going to lose a finger🤢 That message board is my house....strange how a simple "discussion " escalates into a mountain out of a mole hill. Someday my family will understand this saying.....I hope🤔🤔🤔
Yes, he was stressing me out with that knife!!!
If u use Portland cement and a fine grain sand it will work better. I haven’t been doing this craft very long but I have become really good at the mix. If u use a 60/40 sand it’s moldable. Like if u are needing to make a tree stump. But use more cement in the mix for that.
Once again you entertained me. I laughed outloud. We all have these epic fails the first go around. I wanted concrete countertops for the longest time. Did you know you can add color to the cement?
What?!!! Ok. We're definitely adding color next time!!
If u tap on it it won't have the bubbles - great job
Thanks!
Cute
Thanks!
in Places where building are made from concrete, they use Marl and cement to make the concrete.
OH~ wow!
Nice job guys! When ya'll were doing the concrete, I was like….. wrong mix, wrong mix…. Also too dry, too dry. I was worried for a minute!
Ha! We were trying to stay positive but it certainly didn't look right! :)
@@KimandGarrettmakeit I do love how you guys jump in there and show your mistakes, show how you learned the process. It helps all of us know it is ok to just get in there and try it! We all make mistakes, and it is just fine to do that and best part, we all get to learn something new along the journey!
These are soooo 🥰 cute! I love them but looks like a lot of work. I would love to know how much it cost to make?
Super affordable I think that bag of cemenet was less than $5
@@KimandGarrettmakeit Awesome! 😎
Curious what grit sand paper you used to sand down the planters. Something like 60/80?
not sure!
❤️❤️❤️
YAY! Welcome
So true concrete has large aggregate in it. That just cemented this. I’ve got a concrete idea you won’t be doing that again. Lol either way it’s hard
Ha! Garrett will love this comment!
Where did you get the oversized ornament? I can’t find them anywhere!
We make them!
I need a cement gnome in my life - step 45 I relook at the video again…TFI 👹
Lol yes! Make you one
More water needed on the first try.
Good idea!
the gnome needs some color
I think he's cute a simple!
Laugh out loud I think you should have watched UA-cam video on how to use concrete
It always surprises me how many makers try something new after watching only one or two videos.
Great job! Oh PLEASE do some Halloween items!!!
OH WE WILLL
