Yes please, I would love to see you fixing your fails. Love that you keep those in your videos, gives me confidence to keep going if something doesn’t work out the first time!
I learned in art class if you can use a back massager to pop cement bubbles! I grabbed the cheap handheld one from Walmart and it works! No more ugly bubbles in my cement projects!
Thanks for having the guts to show things that didn't work out so well. We're human, we try things, sometimes they work, sometimes not. That's how progress and art happen. Well done!

Ya, the square cube art was a great idea! Looks great framed! Now, I know what to do with the many wood squares from Dollar Tree, that I stocked up on!
I would like to see you fix mistakes. That would help us when we make mistakes and how we can fix them as well. Thanks for sharing your time with all of us.
Jorge I must admit that I’m a bit adhd with diy UA-cam channels. I quickly find a favourite, kinda fall in love with the content, then become quickly bored and move on to the new favourite etc. But your DIYs, creative unpretentious genius, candour and amazing genuine personality have kept me intrigued and excitedly awaiting your next video since you started this channel. While most diy creators on UA-cam seem to get stuck in the same “rut” or constantly recreate projects from other channels you have found a way to create projects that are unique, stunning and on point in terms of current decor. Pieces that anyone would be proud to show off in their homes. Even more proudly saying I made that, when asked where it was purchased from. I sincerely appreciate you showing how to create such beauty, while equally appreciating you showing “mistakes” as it’s definitely a confidence booster! As one who has made many “mistakes” I would love a video or series on how to fix the projects that didn’t work out. Thank you for everything you do! ❤️ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦
Have been watching diy videos since last week... this is the first one that I felt is truly practical and genuine... most videos I watched seemed like things turned out of magic, nothing goes wrong when they do stuff... or they mention an obviously planted mistake that is so boring... I love your videos!
I loved all projects! Tip for you who don’t like the color of regular gray cement, there is a cement blanc, which is almost an offwhite cement and is so much better for adding colors :)
I too am a big DT cemented! May I share: I dry DT oil spray from the food isle and spray the plastic pots, bowls and/or ornaments, lightly and gently rub it around. Cement just pops out most times. On occasion I pour boiling water on the mold and that works too. Happy cementing! Oh and yes please do a video of your mishaps. Thank you!
I really enjoy your DIY'S ! IM Into the cement creations too. I haven't filmed any yet, though! Years & years ago, I worked for a company, that made ficus trees for home decor. So I have some knowledge of using it. I'm excited to see some DIY 'S using cement! Brilliant! Also nice to see a man, Art/Crafter! I loved your abstract painting you did for the " double up frame" insert! You didn't know if you painted mountains or clouds! It was beautiful!
You have a great eye for design. I love when you show how a project fail, can be turned into a genius piece of art. Sometimes an unexpected turn in a project, can be the s- curve of the art.
For the cement balls, can you cut the molds in half first, them tape them together before you fill them? Just removing the tape to release seems easier than cutting the mold after. Just a thought.
The candle holders very nice, my fave is the wall art, the balls.. I would like to find a form with shiny insides or something, but l still like yours❣😃
I make lots of cement home decor too . Spray it with cooking oil then use a basting brush to evenly coat it . Then pour hot water not boiling thought over object when it's dry and it will glide out ❤
The bowl would look so grand in an ivory/stone color as a dining or coffee table centerpiece. I think RH had something similar filled w moss. Beautiful DIYs as always ! 💞
You R amazing! I love that you truly use your creativity and making high end, luxurious home decor from dollarstore. U really inspire me🙂 Josephine from sweden
If you don't like the lines on the balls from the saw - you can mix up some more cement and go back over them to fill in the lines! Just use your hands to smooth it all out.
The bowl was my favorite! No, wait! The balls were my favorite! Wait...your transparency ranks #1...ALWAYS! Thank you for your honest, authentic, presentations! 😊
I wonder if a heat tool would cut through the plastic without marking the cement balls. Loved all the projects but the brown black finish on the bowl looked great. Would love to see that on the candle sticks. I have never worked with cement but you make it look so rewarding. A video on fixing failed projects would be fun.
The first project, candle holders, was AWESOME! My brain was blown to bits wondering how you imagined that one and no less, it worked out perfectly! Also loved the "stone" bowl. I think I will try that one, but use the technique that you used on the balls to add a bit of marbled look. Yes, I would love to see fails, fixing fails, etc. That would be a treat! Love your DIY's and your personality. Stay Jorge always!
Hi, Jorge, love your cement diy's! Thanks for sharing!
For #4, the balls made from Xmas ornaments, could you mix up some more cement and use it to fill in the grooves? If you smooth it well before it dries, you shouldn't have to sand too much.
So cool! Love these! Just an idea…I’ve heard about people using non-stick cooking spray to grease before pouring cement. I haven’t had the nerve to try any cement projects yet, but I just might give it a go…
The candle holders are awesome too, I'd make 3 of different eights by cutting the bottom of the plastic at different heights (if the cut top still fits in the base, that is)
The candle sticks look fantastic either the black or natural! I like the cement sphere's a lot! Perfect impression with the plastic bowl, I even love the naturally occurring holes!
Are you using quickset or regular Portland cement? I have some luck with removing item from the mould early to embellish or smooth. Another way to smooth is to make a runny liquid cement mixture to paint over or dunk the dried item, which is great to cover seams. For enviable smoothness, use a cement product called feather finish. You can add color to the water before mixing for a more even color, if clean is what you want. I'd love to see what you do with cement stains. I've used them in my garden projects for coloring cement mushrooms and they are fun to splash or spill onto the item, they color uneven like a watercolor, to a nice effect.
And I was going to say, when I made balls, I sawed off the stem and covered the ball in cement. Less cement and the plastic ball provides support. I covered the hole with a piece of tape.
Jorge, with those Xmas balls, next time you could put some oil.inside the balls and swirl it around to cover the inside of the ornaments and then quickly pour in the cement. Just a suggestion. Your DIYs are AWESOME!! I always look forward to your instructional videos. Great ideas! Thank you so much!
I particularly like the orbs, maybe you could try using scissors to remove the mold, that should eliminate the saw lines, if that works? Thanks for your DIYs.
Hi jorge! Love your DIY work & styling! For the last one, I think you could add a thin layer of reinforcement that the cement could cling onto and also to strengthen the whole piece. Perhaps a natual fiber sheet or aluminum chicken wire would do. :)
I thought the candleholders were very nice and had a West Elm look. Those would make nice gifts in different colors. I really love the cement balls and have been thinking about investing in the mold for these so I don’t have to saw them apart. I can see you figuring out how to make bigger ones, too. My favorite, though, is the ‘stone’ bowl-it is very nice! Yes, bring on the ‘fail saves’ lol.
Literally just did some concrete landscaping projects with dollar tree products to save some money frfr and then boom 🤯 see this video … great minds think alike 💪🏿
As far as the final look, I like the bowl with the balls (hehe) but for inspiration, I like the project with the cubes and the frame. Not quite my style this specific one, but I think it’s a good starting point for inspiration.
I'm wondering if you take a cement "Slip" and fill in those lines from the saw afterwards. It would dry quickly and it would work like a polyfiller. Then another light sand and the lines should be gone.
Just a hint for those balls. If you cut the mold first, put it together with elastic or tape. Then when it is hardened you take off the tape and voila. There may be a ten bump at the join but that is a lot easier to sand.
Hey there, anyone know if you can make the stone orbs and use them in a fire pit? Also thought instead of sawing the ornament to burn off the plastic in a ventilated area? Thanks Jorge for sharing your cement ideas! :)
Great video! I love the balls. Mayb I would try to coat the inside with oil so the release would b easier. Also thanks for showing the fails, it helps a lot n I would enjoy a “ fixing my fails” vid. You would probably create something more beautiful!
I've worked alot with cement such as these projects if you use an oil or plastic wrap to to coat your containers insides you will have an easyer time getting item out after cement is dried 😉
Cement is like adult playdoh.... I already bought cement but I am still wondering what to do first haha but you're the only DIY that convinced me to move forward :D
On the concrete balls. Do you think it would work better to cut the balls first in half and then duck tape it back together and then fill them? Maybe that would be easier to release and avoid the line in the end?
Cut the Christmas deco balls in half and then tape them back together prior to pouring the cement into them. Afterwards pull the tape off to release the spheres.

I like the flat black look, very elegant.

The bowl you put in your bathroom is my favorite. Like the air bubbles and the rustic color.

Hi! I’d love to see you create wall planters that you hang on the wall. Thanks!
Im in love 😍 with all your DIY🥰😍😍😍😍
Oh my goodness! That concrete bowl is amazing! I will have to be brave and use concrete sometime. Thank you for the ideas.
Wabi-sabi style is natural, embracing imperfection
The cement balls!!! Love how they came out.
I absolutely love Project 3- that big stone bowl! I am definitely doing that!
The bowl would look so grand in an ivory/stone color as a dining or coffee table centerpiece. I think RH had something similar filled w moss.

I think they look nice. Wonder if spackle or caulking could be used to smooth out the cut marks and paint over to match the concrete.

One way to make the cement spheres with no wastage is to use silicon moulds or those fillable baubles that come apart ❤ love all of these ideas
The candle holders are awesome too, I'd make 3 of different eights by cutting the bottom of the plastic at different heights (if the cut top still fits in the base, that is)

You could use kitchen shires for cutting the Christmas balls.
Yes, do the fail video! My fav was the candle holders, definitely going to make those!!!
You deserve so many more subscribers. Genius.
I'm sending you such a huge hug Jorge. I honestly feel as if I know you.
I love the cement diy
The candle holders, balls and the bowl👍🏽👍🏽

Wow! I love these ideas! My favorite has to be the cement spheres! They look amazing!

Hi Jorge
Great work. Anytime I try to make something from cement it ends up cracking. Any advice?
I am constantly waiting for all your videos and you never ever let me down!! XO
is there anything you can add to the Christmas bulbs before pour in the cement to make it release easier?
Cut the Christmas deco balls in half and then tape them back together prior to pouring the cement into them. Afterwards pull the tape off to release the spheres.
