It's 2024, mic the reporters so we can hear the questions! How is this still a problem after all these years?
pretty easy to infer what the questions were. nothing to whine about
Closed captions are a thing on UA-cam
Amateur hour at it's finest
Buy better speakers! 😅
Super excited to see how the team synergy is next year!
If we signed Guentzel to $9mil/season, it means Brock walks next season. That, plus we end up digging in the bargain bin for fringy role players due to a lack of cap space...
100% agree
Allvin is doing a fine job, started out in a very difficult situation and had to clean up a mess. Keep up the great work.
Can’t hear the reporter’s questions well, but I loved the question about the similarities between the Canucks and Bruins approach. If Vancouver ever became “The Big Bad Canucks,” I think my heart would explode with happiness.
If we do, they we need to go back to the old black jerseys full time. Black, yellow and orange are way more intimidating colours than ocean soothing blue and green.
Canucks keep producing excellent goalies: Tolopilo is next up!! Go clarkie
Silovs will be next up before Tolo
Nice to see Canuck fans completely shitting on the gm who turned things around here lmao he’s earned our trust
not hearing too many canucks fans complaining. Likely a bit quiet and some disappointment to start as the big names came off the bench board, but we are a better team today then we were yesterday.
Rutherford did well
He's a good GM
Alvin needs an experienced Rutherford..Alvin is new at all this
Doing good yesterday doesn't mean you did good today, it's totally fair to judge each move on it own wtf you talking about.
@@jbainbridge22 you're still on these comment boards? you're about the only person, and loudest person who doesnt like these pickups. You don't know anything about hockey.
@@thedingbatdingers4326 Just cause I disagree doesn't make you right.
Why isn't there a mic for the media? It's pretty frustrating not being to hear any of the questions.
I can clearly hear the questions no problems at all
We were always gonna lose greedy ex flame 🔥 rentals: the Canucks made some sneaky good value deals today to improve the club as a whole
You hit the nail on the head, as far as good value signings go. More balance and depth. The Canucks added some more grit with Sherwood , Heinman up front plus Desjarnis and Forbert on the back end. I like the DeBrusk signing. For 7 years at $5.5 million per season, that is a really good value contract and someone who can be up on Petterson's top line.
@@PawanPander-xh8orI think we still need a bit mote scoring
We had a problem scoring goals and taking shots in the Playoffs
Also Nashville is going to be great
Hopefully Edm plays them first next year
You would think with how much media there is in Vancouver, they would be able to figure out the reporters mics. Cant hear any questions, smh
how is that a big deal? you can easily infer what was asked
@@callmeishmael4659 it's a thing called context.. you probably form opinions without it all the time, so I imagine it's no big deal for you..
Luke was right Canucks suck. And like the sabres they will never win a cup.. The owners are a joke don't spend money on marquis players..lindh9lm/zadorov/ their best players in playoffs and wont sign them is proof of there incompetence. Wont shell out an additional 300k for zadorov? Alvins a dolt. Owners dont have winning mentality and never spend. Dont say the cap, they can make room. The best forward theyve had in 30 years is marcus naslund..messier didnt count..its a loser franchise for a loser city. Luke was right. Unfortunately canada will never win a stanley cup again. Welcome to the new nhl where american owners buy cups$$$
Really like the forward additions. not a big fan of the Defence moves though
We need that size on defence especially in the playoffs
I'm with you on the F. The D I'll have to wait and see. They are big and scary at least.
I’m not either but we got great coaches, look at Myers, he changed and elevated his game, Zadorov played great and even got 6x5. I’m sure those boys will do good under tocc, Foote and gonchar
These moves raise the bar for all the players internally: they all gotta have Big Summers if they want a spot next season
They better find a HGH dealer and a navy seal fitness instructor for soft swede petterson
raise the bar? highly debatable.
Gonna be tougher, longer season, less time for healing, resting, then gearing up to the same spead as last years fast start.
Debrusk with Petey.. Yikes. Guess we missed out on upgrading the top 6 for now
Nashville did the best
I wouldn't want to play them in the First Round...Let Edm have them
Vancouver still needs some more top 6 Scoring
They added 2 aging players, way past their prime. I would have loved Stamkos on our team, but not for the price he signed for. Would have paid him 6 mil tops
mic the questions ffs, the technology is there
Absolutely loved all the signings. Can't wait for next season
I liked the signings also, but could we not have splurged a bit on Zadorov @ 5M instead of a throw away like Desharnais @ 2M? That would’ve made it an excellent instead of very good day imo
wanted Tanev back
@@gskeyz2987the problem wasn't the 5 million for Zadorov it was the 6 years, for a big physical defenseman that term is a very big risk and Canucks probably weren't willing to commit that long of a term to a potential injury case as he gets older into the contract.
I like the versatility of the forwards they signed. Debrusk, Heinen, and Sherwood. All fast and tough players to play against on both ends of the ice
I love it, I have been waiting for the Nucks to get grittier players and they did this year.
Kind of a meh free agency but what choice did they have?
I loved the physical game Deharmais played for Edmonton
lol Man said Jake Brusk, he just gave a dude 35 m and botched his name lmao.
38.5
got better on forwards worse on d not looking good.
Yeah Not much better on Frwds
Worse on D for sure
@@conservativeamber1216 and look at the preds they got way better. no way we beat them unless petterson plays like a game breaking 12 mill dollor player which i doubt.
We F'ed up today.
Royally
@@conservativeamber1216 Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst tbh. Lol.
You must be a Boston fan, so yes you did. The Canucks are a better team now and thankfully didn’t over pay for anyone.
@@robertpetsel54 Bro can you at least use your brain and not fill in the blanks with made up lore wtf.
Allvin did good today. Guentzel would have broken our bank with no money left to shore up other areas particular D and bottom 6. Now we have addressed Petey line. If we can land another DeBrusk-like for Miller line. Can't wait for next year playoffs.
big mistake letting zadorov go
For 30m? No thanks.
Lol
@@StarrynovaHe played Solid for 3 weeks so yeah I agree
Alvins a dolt... wouldn't pay Z 300k more to stay
@@mkultra5752 best move Allvin made.
Canucks missed on acquiring a top 6 talent. The top 6 got worse, the bottom 6 may have improved and the D also got worse.
You'd really take mikheyev over debrusk wtf is wrong with you
@@matt0395 Mikheyev was a joke, the amount of opportunities he had to score and missed was shocking. The Maple Leaf fans told us who he was(fast skater with no finish) when we acquired him. Lindholm was brought in at a heavy price(50, 60, 80 point seasons) to play with Petersson and it didn't work. DeBrusk is a career 40 point scorer while playing with exceptional play driving talent.
@@TheFlukeism yes your right career 40+ pts avg, but I'll disagree as I feel he really wasn't put in a position to succeed in bean town, full disclosure tho I've always been a fan of his, even tho he played in Boston, and I hate the bruins.
@@matt0395 The term and pay for a 40pt player is way too much. It felt like management was backpedaling to sign someone that comes close to a top 6. Allvin and Patrick have done great things to turn this team around. Our rentals who were not cheap walked.
I'm looking at a guy like Lindholm who we spent extensive assets to acquire and he was supposed to play on the Petterson line. He chose not to resign and ended up playing on the 3rd line.
The Sedins were soft, Petterson is soft. These guys are financial winners, not Stanley Cup warriors and winners. They are amazing people but they are not hockey players that put themselves in danger. Canucks are where players come to retire and "play it safe".
Petterson should be earning 8mil per year and Miller should be earning the 11.6mil overpay for the remainder of his contract. We don't need overpaid Millionaire soft players, we need warriors! I am glad we signed Miller over Horvat because he is a warrior.
Assuming this team actually wants to win a Stanley Cup.
Neither of them should be earning $11.5 Mill
Petey $8.5 Mill
Millet $10 Mill
Yes we need True North American Grit not anymore Swedes
Casual take, pettey played the hardest I’ve seen for a Swede just couldn’t hit the net but when you have two fourth liners on your wing all the other team has to do is shut down one player and if mykhev somehow beats you you live with it. Mykhev didn’t beat anyone tho 😂
Well its the canucks there not in it too win cups just sell jerseys too homers
Loosing lindholm and big Z is messed up
"loosing"
Yes , the act of loosing, like a screw! lol
@@robbb-we7ujLOL😅
For Debrusk too :(
Definitely a downgrade, won’t win the division, I think 1st round exit, unfortunately.
Who asked for a nobody's opinion 🤣
Keep in mind we only acquired lindholm and zadorov at the deadline. We didn’t start the season with them, didn’t have the cap space for them
@@feuxyo4859 It’s what the comment section is used for, and you’re here. 🤡
@@GrahamWinship true zadorov earned a big payday
It’s July. Relax.
The two guys we added on D are defensively responsible. They will be a solid pillar on the back end for the 3rd pairing. Everyone hating, just wait until you see them play before judging the gm’s moves.
I agree we have a heavy defence. In the playoffs Hughes and Hronek are going have to be split 7:05 up and one of these big guys are going have to play with each one of them. I didn’t like how the oilers big forwards ran over Quinn and Hronek. These big guys can look after them
Edm Fans saying
