    this has to be one of the most underrated videos i think i have seen on youtube. the quality, the editting, the way you are able to simplify a complicated topic so a fetus could understand it. you are amazing. this is the first time ive commented something that was not hateful. good job dude keep it up and you'll be one of the top dogs.

    My potassium violin is always off time, lol😅. Seems to mostly affect broad leaved Java ferns. I use the seachem potassium supplement and have recently been adding it right near the plants instead of to the tank in general, so I hope that will help.

    • @TropiscapeAquatics
      @TropiscapeAquatics  Рік тому +1

      This is a complete shot in the dark, but do any other plants have this deficiency? I'm wondering if the reason that Java fern's "potassium violin" is if is all due to the other plants starving it of Potassium. Since Java fern is quite a slow growing plant, the other plants might be utilizing it before Java fern can. Again, this is a shot in the dark. I have no data to back this up apart from logically applying the Limiting Factor stuff to it

    • @TarasTankFriends
      @TarasTankFriends Рік тому

      @@TropiscapeAquatics Really quite possible that that is the case! Other plants are not showing potassium deficiency. That's why I thought sort of spot fertilizing it might help?

    • @TropiscapeAquatics
      @TropiscapeAquatics  Рік тому +1

      @@TarasTankFriends Not sure how that would work in the grand scheme of things, but it is definitely worth a try. Just remember to turn off the filter and all that to prevent it from spreading. My thought process still goes over how fast the Java fern will utilize the potassium before it diffuses more into the water. If that doesn't work, you could try moving it into the shade to limit the amount of nutrients it's using overall, it could be enough to balance things out. But again, that's another shot in the dark and I have no data to back that up

      Don't discredit yourself! You could've put as much effort into your videos as much as I do, but I may have more experience with editing and all that. All of my editing and designing skills are all self-taught, and I still don't think my skills are good enough compared to other aquarium UA-camrs! I've got so many things to learn still! You could potentially get the same quality as my videos if you take the time to learn stuff like editing, scripting, design, etc. It's a lot of work and not everyone may be up for it.
      It took me a full year to reach 1k subs, while there are channels out there that got more than a million views on their first video. However, I try to focus more on myself and the content that I can deliver. If there's something that I do in my videos, feel free to copy them! It's what I do a few times. If I see something that looks cool, I'll try to incorporate that into my own videos. I use the free version of DaVinci Resolve, by the way.
      Here are a few channels that I mainly watch when it comes to UA-cam stuff:
      Film Booth: For editing, thumbnail, intro, etc. (This is where I took the idea of using metaphors from)
      Harris Heller: Copyright-Free Music, videography equipment info
      HillierSmith: Main source for anything editing. He used to be an editor for Logan Paul.
      VidIQ: Anything related to UA-cam news and small UA-cam channels

    • @TropiscapeAquatics

      This will probably take quite some time to solve.
      First, I would look into obtaining root tabs for the plants.
      Second, I would make a list of nutrient deficiencies and jot down how to solve them.
      Third, if you're going down the EI route, look into getting a good, reliable AIO EI based fertilizer. If you don't know what EI is, I have a video about that. I believe it's titled "Your fertilizer is causing algae" or something similar.
      Fourth, if you're going down the Lean Dosing route, make sure that you are using adequate amounts of each specified nutrient. (I also go over lean dosing in the mentioned video).
      If you have the ability to adjust each individual nutrient (not using an AIO fertilizer), only solve one nutrient at a time to lessen variables for future reference. If you don't have the ability to do so, make sure you are following the fertilizers' manufacturers' instructions.
      Again, this will take some time to solve, but the patience and persistence will pay off! Let me know if you have any further questions! I'd be happy to help 😊

    Also my Echinodorus is flowering any idea whats happening or rather what am i seppose to do? If not im gonna just cut it again like the first time 😅😂. What a shame the folwers are white and cute, they just last for a day until they dried up and another part of it grew them again.

      One man's crap is another man's treasure!
      Whoa! That's a great sign that your Echinodorus is flowering! Not sure how to do this or even if it's possible, but you can try to swab some of the pollen from the flowers and then transfer it to another flower! You might be able to get some seeds from the pollination! Again, not sure if this works or not...

    • @Gilsfishroom
      @Gilsfishroom Рік тому +3

      Just let the flowers die, then don't touch the stem. You will find that some new baby plants will grow along the flower stem. Once those baby plants develop roots, you can cut the stem and plant the babies.
