this is the best iphone camera to PC app ever for free, its actually so amazing
Not sure if this is a new update, but the free version of the app now also offers a 'Basic Portrait' mode. So you can get the blurred background (presuming you have an iPhone with portrait capability) without getting the paid version, you just can't edit it at all.

Also the current free version per today can edit the exposure, got full hd support using the rear cam

Yes! Webcams just suck! USB is horribly inefficient method for capturing quality imaging. The reason why your phone is so much better is because the hardware and software on your phone are doing all the heavy lifting in processing. Webcams simply don’t have that capability. Have fun José!
I am surprised that it is choppy??
I count on Camo for my future set up UA-cam channel, together with Final Cut. But after seeing this, I have a doubt if it's really possible.
When he is recording directly there appears to be no problem. When showing the desktop to demonstrate the Camo software options things get bad but that's down to the screen capture software.

Green-screen / chroma-keying is still not supported as of June 2022. This is a deal breaker to me in my opinion.
It’s possible to combine Camo with OBS free software to accomplish chroma-keying.

If by cinematic headshot you mean bokeh effect or background blur it is capable of doing that!

I dont understand, if my phone can record at 4k why would I use Camo Studio when it restricts it to 720p
Remote control access over your device from your computer, wireless connectivity between your computer and your phone for recording tools, DSLR like camera controls your phone doesn't have are all the reasons I can think of. You should be able to do 1080p with a paid camo studio account. Personally I use camo with OBS for a second camera angle and prefer using the Panasonic GH5 as the main camera. I'd also use camo with my phone when traveling as a webcam.
I was considering the paid version since the free version has worked well most of the time. But then I got my video interrupted in Zoom by the lighting cable symbol and a very blurry image on day. It's happened a couple of times now on my 2020 MacBook Pro it make me nervous about using an iPhone 11 for an important podcast interview that will be recorded on Zoom. What might be the problem?
This happens sometimes. It can be due to other connections going to the laptop. External Microphones, or USBs that take power. These are the most common reasons that cause the cable symbol issue. As for your blurry image issue, that can either be the "Portrait Mode"; Camo's use of Apple's portrait camera on their software, or an issue with your camera (which I hope is not the case, and isn't the case if the camera is fine on the phone). This is all that I know and can provide from my 2-year use of Camo.
is it any app that can enable 4k 60fps?
OBS studio let's you record whatever settings you want
Where does the recorded video get stored to. Is it into camo app on my phone or pc. Will want it stored on my iPhone
Stored on your phone I think but I can’t verify because they haven’t updated the windows version yet and we don’t have recording capabilities with Camo unfortunately

Dude, that is because he was recording the desktop to show the app features.
Man there’s a lot of these comments haha, thanks for your support. The good news is they updated the platform to perform even better while screen recording. If I made a new one now it would go a lot smoother.
WHAT ABOUT USING TWO PHONES?
I don’t think Camo can do that I’ll be testing this soon. Usually I bring all sources into OBS to control them all from one piece of software but you can only have one source from Camo in there
Is 1080 the highest resolution in the Camo app?
I think so yes haven't seen 4k yet but it might depend on your phone too

Hey, I haven't bought the Camo Studio Pro version, but when I connect it to my mobile, all the features still work. I can use it as a 4K video image and light adjustments all work. Is this happening with you too?
Hey there :). Thanks for this. When using camo my videos are lagging. just like this one you made. Your video is lagging through the whole video. How do I fix this?
It was patched a while ago, the only thing I could do to help with this was close down as many windows and apps as possible on my computer. I ended up building a new PC at the end of the day primarily because I want to be able to do more GFX and 4K stuff.
Also the problem was caused with my 3rd party screen recorder software from Movavi, I've since switched over to OBS for recording content.
Would a usb connection from the phone to the computer help with the lag issues? Does Camo support USB? Thanks
Yes it does support both wireless and usb

When registering : (I don't know exactly how at this point: quick time would be the easiest, maybe OBS if it's possible, or invest in final Cut, as Camo announces that it specifically works with Final Cut)

Hey Matthew... How is the latency ? Just noticed there is latency in your video on Camo PRO
That’s my fault, and there’s lots of feedback on that. The screen lag is my computer running screen recording software from Movavi causing the issue. Camo runs flawlessly!
Great video Matthew. It appears to me that there is a delay between the audio and the picture. Is there a way to eliminate that?
Hey , don’t know if you figured it out yet but. If you’re on OBS you just have to tweak with the “sync offset “ setting when you open advanced audio properties for your mic. It will vary from phone cams but I found that setting mine to -100 is nice but like I said you’ll have to tweak with it

@@ContentCreationWithMatt yes I wish it all would be plug and play without delays lol . Hey sir I wanted to know your view of this. If I record my phone cam at 30fps and record my game that’s 60fps, do I make the timeline 30fps anyway? it wouldn’t affect the gameplay any?
Ideally you want the framerate to match if your timeline is 30 fps then when you export in 30 fps the 60 fps footage will conform go 30 fps. I haven't tested this but in my mind that would make the gaming recording look a lot less smooth. Best approach I think is to make your timeline in the footage you want to highlight the most. In this case it's probably best to use 60 and either boost your cam to 60 or let the software fill in the missing frames during export. I would try both exporting in 30 and 60 then looking at the results. If the footage looks better with 60 use that!

@@ContentCreationWithMatt Cool…a question: do you know if there is a way to create different backgrounds in Camo, like you can in MS Teams? BTW, when I did test recordings in Camo, the recorded video was much wider field of view than what I see inside Camo Studio. Any idea why that may be? Thanks

why is the frame rate so bad
My computer sucks lots of comments here on this - my screen recording software was taking up too much resources during recording. Nothing to do with the performance of Camo

I'll have to do a new one now that I've upgraded the PC all the lag was caused by an old laptop for hardware
