you have to use a block of wood as a base to make the silver ball round

@@user-df6pt9wt8e Grind boric acid with a pestle place in sperate container. Add denatured alcohol to it until becomes paste. Apply to solder seem. Then you are set to get soldering. Sorry I don't have any boric acid to show you a video on that process. I've been using a product from suppliers recently both Worthington, Kester. Edited you can do 50/50 mix and burn off excess of the recipe boric acid/ denatured alcohol for a barrier to prevent oxidized surface.

@@kaisarpowersilver Do you use that ratio on Sterling or fine silver? I use 8 grams of silver and 2 grams of brass for soldering on Sterling. I use flux on metals that oxidize easily and to prevent fire scale.
