This mans soldering skills defy the laws of physics, can't understand how the whole thing doesn't come undone with every heating. Truly remarkable no one else seems to be able to do this, must have been 5 when he started! Love your work! Thank you for sharing an inspiration to us all.
Exactly....I really wonder how he makkes his solder. Normally when you heat a soldered item 2 or 3 times, the solder gets burnt and brittle.

Luxi makes a similar black cutting compound, water soluble, and inexpensive. It cuts well, like a good Tripoli.

What is that flux?
@@kaisarpowersilver you really should try it, it keeps the soldering joints clean from oxidation or fire scale and most importantly it helps the solder to flow more easily to all spots, where the flux is located. It also helps to melt precious metals more easily. For example borax is often used as flux and is quite good.

@@kaisarpowersilver mix borax and water. Can purchase a cone. Paint the flux over the area to be soldered and you will find that the solder flows faster. Also the flux will clean the solder joint as it gets hot which makes final cleanup and polish faster/easier. I had assumed you were dipping your solder pal lions in flux off camera as I sometimes see a sizzle when you put heat on a joint.
Also, if you use sterling, a coat of flux helps reduce or eliminate fire stain.
