Besides the keyring or EDC, the itty bitty 1 cell lite weight dollar lights make a nice add on to a zipper pull for your winter jackets.

I really liked the one with the magnetic turn on.. But more so because of its Lantern Style mechanism.. I do have a Lantern style light but it's the body that glows and is nice, but the diffuser that the bodies made out of tends to just blind me and I can never stand it up right with my keys always have to hang it ( nitecore that has the clew body.. Forgot the name).. I did try it on my keys for a bit, but I decided to use it in my EDC bag instead as my back up light...
Now or day in my edc, I tend to carry a bit bigger of a light in my jacket pocket, but I always have my Ti3 on my keys now (instead of that nitecore)... The Ti3 have proven itself to me over the last 6 years or so and is my #1 keychain light..
In my jacket for winter I like to carry something just a tab bit bigger, but still small and lightweight, but easy on the pocket too, so I choose the ThruNite W1...
Now I have to talk about the button sise lights you have there too, I do see the use case for those little guys.. What I like to use thoes for is on a retractable line attached to the outside of my pack.. I personally liked the one that had the low and high settings, honestly if I got a light like that, I would want a dimmer light because of the battery size, don't want to be replacing the battery all the time... Kinda wish thrunite would make something like this button size one that was not too much bigger, low cost and type c rechargeable... These come in handy for placing them in places you only need Alittle light for a short time (less than 30 sce to 1min)...and I alway use them with the retractable type of leash.. Right now I have one attached to my key ring inside my EDC bag, one on my fishing box/bag and I keep one hanging near rear view mirror (do alot of nite driving)...
Now in the truck, my wife's car and in the home we keep the thrunite tn20... One I actually one from a giveaway here, and loved it soo much I got the other two... Hands down best light if you really need to get some work done or in some cases use as self defense type of light...
Other than that, I just have some Energizer headlamps that I seriously need to upgrade to something small light and portable..
Anyways, how that helps someone out there, and helps people see that you don't have to spend tons of money to get a great light... I'm a thrunite guy through and through... And do have a soft spot for some of nitecore stuff too.. But I'm very active and use all my products I've listed here time and tomw again... I'll be doing so reviews and spinning up the youtube channel soon enough.. Wish me luck..
    Take care all. ✌️

I like the Nebo Poplight because you can separate the light from the key. Far too many key lights are designed so when the light is pointed at the keyhole, the key won't reach the keyhole without extra rings, chains, etc., potentially causing tangles when you least need one. The lantern mode would come in handy for camping, especially when having to get up in the middle of the night, if only to find a proper flashlight to do whatever.
Then there's the trusty Ti2, which I have 4 of. I could probably use a few more, as I have too many packs and pouches that don't have one in them.
Thanks Cutlerylover for the enlightening review as always.

Greetings From Ireland. I like the ThruNite lights, the quality is great. I have a Ti3 for many years for my EDC. It held up great, even the finish was flawless until I left it in my jeans and threw it into the washing machine for four hours. It came out a little worn but still works perfect, it's an amazing little light.

The wink would be a good one to attach to the glove box or under the dash of a vehicle. That way you have a light in an emergency , and replacement batteries are cheap and easy to find.

While I definitely prefer overbuilt and over performing lights for any task, these lightweight keychain lights you reviewed certainly have their place (like you said, good for getting in your house without having to whip out a phone or pocket light). Thanks for the comparison 👍

Just a slight correction. The Ti2 does not come with a battery, but that's ok. (AAA's cost pennies a piece. And are readily available.) The Ti2 is BY FAR the best light on that table. They are bulletproof! Ti2's are reliable and they are always going to work when you need them to. I own several of them and love every one. Surprisingly good build quality for under $8.00. Don't just buy 1. Buy several. They will also make great gifts for Christmas. 😎👍
Side note: the pocket clip from the Ti3 v2 will also fit the Ti2 .

I thought those button lights were trivial until about 10yrs ago I ordered something from cuttleryshoppe and they thru one in free with my order and it had their logo stuck on it. But it has lasted a decade on keys getting thrown dropped gottten wet and frozen to the ground overnight. I forget the brand but it has on off ramps all way up n down has strobe beacon sos. For the size and weight I don’t even notice it and I can’t tell ya how many times I’ve used beacon to mark a spot in the dark or my vehicle. Get in a door. It’s probably only 20 lumens but in pitch black it works well and sometimes it’s all I have. Definitely not the brightest but definitely came in handy over the years.

Nebo mini lantern definitely attracts the attention, but I don't like that it uses LR44 batteries , probably side plastic will be badly scratched by keys over time and it looks a little too big for keychain.

Thanks for the video. I have found that the small keychain lights add too much bulk to my keys. I carry a pocket edc light so I don't see a need for a small light. I have a bunch, but don't use them. But, that's just me.

I enjoyed the video...if I'm going to depend on a light, I will skip the cheap and get the ThruNite I know and love. If I'm giving them as a joke gift or for kids who don't need nice stuff...then RaySoar (Pack of 7) Ultra Bright Mini LED Keychain Flashlight would be a fun light I would have enjoyed as a child. They are ok bright and at least you can lock them on...I would like you to lock one on and see how long they really last but...this was fun!

This was interesting. Kinda hard for anyone to complete with Thrunite with all the innovations in all their models this year. For the people I just want to say Nebo makes some incredible work lights, flashlights no so much. Right now you can get a NEBO OMNI 2K Work Light for thirty seven bucks on the big A sight. People that is a good deal and I think its such a good price as they have come out with a 3K model and most likely are closing this out. To Thrunite and or Cutlerylover, if these off topic comments I infrequently make are unwelcome, please just respond to this comment and I will stop doing it.

In the case of keychains, they must be divided by lumen levels, in this case it would be a comparison below 150 lumens, because there are keychains with more than 300 lumens for less than $20 USD.

I can't get on board with the cheapie lights with coin cells - too many of them end up in the trash, and even if the owner is keeping them and replacing the battery that means more batteries in the landfill. I think TN has it right by offering their low(er) end lights for use with AAA and AA batteries: they can be used with the excellent low self discharge (LSD) NiMH rechargeable batteries. (Anyone who is still throwing away batteries should check them out: they are miles ahead of other NiMH batteries and, of course, NiCad ones as well.)
As for the lantern capability I question the value in trying to use a flashlight powered by a AAA or AA battery to light an area; they are not really bright enough nor will they have the power to stay on very long - time to step up to something with a Li-ion battery and a bit of output, such as the TN TS1.
The TN Ti2 and Ti3 are excellent keychain flashlights, and make stocking stuffers that will be used for years to come. It is better to pay a bit more and get something durable than buy the cheap throw-away lights.
