I was wondering for a future video about your experience getting Teemo and Arya from the breeder if you haven't done it already. You kind of touched on it in the last video but I would like to hear the full story from the research stage to selecting the breeder (what made you choose this particular breeder?) to applying (what kind of questions did you get) to actually getting them (did you have to go another state to get them? did you get anything from the breeder like toys, food, medical records or your cats' lineages) etc.
I ask this because I rarely hear people's experiences getting animals from ethical breeders. I've done research on ethical breeders and the processes to get an animal from one but I've haven't heard many anecdotes from people who have actually done it from start to finish. Or maybe you can do a video on the family history (as in the lineage) of your cats or at least what you know of their family? I would like to know more about Teemo and Arya.

hmm good ideas, maybe I could interview and shadow an ethical breeder for a day if one is willing to agree to it. And show the things they do to raise and breed kittens.
I could answer my experience in getting Teemo and Arya here:
- In terms of researching a breeder, my number one criteria was the cream color and bicolor pattern. That color is quite rare so it was a tough search. I first went to the CFA website and looked up all the breeders that had a cream winner, there is actually only one, but not in this country. It was during covid so I couldn't fly out to pick up. Finally a google search came up and talked about a group of ragdoll cat breeders working together to develop the cream color. Then I came across Teemo and Arya's mom and she was beautiful and the breeder's most prized cat ( traits: soft hair, great personality, and quite intelligent) and that is when I narrowed down to this breeder.
- So the next step I wanted to check if the breeder is legit, made sure they were registered with the TICA, looked up reviews, read her page, she had taken back a kitten that was abandoned by one of her buyers and raised it as her own. So I knew she really cared about her cats.
- I send the breeder an email. She interviewed me to make sure I could care for the kittens and that I would never abandon them. Questions include my job, my living situation (make sure my place allows pets), do I know what the responsibilities are, and whether I like animals and my experience with them. I sent her photos of me holding kangaroos and hugging a panda. Cuz I LOVE animals! And she said I can put down a reservation.
- I told her I wanted kittens from Teemo and Arya's mom. She was planning to retire her, but decided to have another final litter because my excitement for the cream color got her excited. She eventually get another breeding cat from Teemo and Arya's litter.
- Gave her the deposit and waited for 6 months because the breeder likes to rest her cats in between pregnancies.
- The breeder finally messages me that 9 kittens were born and she was afraid some may die, but fortunately she saved all of them.
- I flew to another state to pick them up and paid the breeder. I got medical records, toys, and premium wet food. We talked about the lineages.
- once I spayed and neutered the cats I was able to register my cats with the TICA.
All very good questions! Yeah I would have to talk to the breeder in depth to know more about Teemo and Arya's family. I was thinking of maybe for their birthday taking Teemo and Arya to go see their mom if the breeder would allow.

Just a good advice, please dont take it as an offense. Maybe visit a psychologist instead. Quite often pets who are adopted to "solve" someones problems make it worse. Not because they are bad, but because they are put under pressure, also if you have issues with school looking after a pet would generate even more work. Stray cat with an uncertain past might be even problematic. Good luck and take care. :-)

Oh congrats on your new Persian cat! I believe for Persian cats they have tear stains more often. So it could be more often then a normal cat. I usually only need to clean their eyes when they get watery eyes when they are sick or have allergies. But I believe for Persian cats it could be at least once a week. Hope that helps!

hi i love your videos! they're very helpful. i recently got two kittens that are now almost 5 months old, so i was wondering if you have advice on what to expect when they start losing their baby teeth and growing their adult teeth? thanks in advance!
Thanks I am glad the videos have been helpful! Usually by 7 months of age most of the baby teeth has been replaced with adult teeth. You may even find these hollow shells of the baby teeth on the floor or in your kitten’s bedding, but more often than not the teeth will fall out while the kitten is eating and they will swallow them with the rest of their food. The teething process can also be a time of discomfort and your kitten may drool, be reluctant to eat at times, and may be irritable due to a tender mouth. Almost all kittens will have the urge to chew when they are teething. It is important that you do what you can to direct your kitten’s chewing towards acceptable objects. Avoid giving your kitten hard objects that could damage their teeth. Hope that helps!
What lodine drand do you use ?
I just scrape off the normal dry discharge with my thumb nail, dragging it down the nose. I wash my hands but since he's calm don't touch the actual eye - the gunk sticks to itself/my thumb.
Oh yeah my eight-month-old cats will not appreciate any of this LOL but I shall conquer

I use water to wipe. Though it’s never a problem wipe his eye/ear but he hates it when it’s time for eye drop/ear drops. He close his ears and always want to run from eye drops

@@danalove6868 Hey Dana some ingredients from human medicine aren't safe for cats. For example advil leads to serious stomach and intestinal ulcers as well as kidney failure, just to be on the safe side I would check with a vet.
Honest question: wouldn't it make more sense to clean the eyes from the outer corner towards the inside corner (the same direction that the tears and discharge flow out)?
Same thoughts here! It is how we do our eyes too, instinctively. I have never done it any other way but as you said. 👍
Hey Marta good question. it is as long as you don't go in the direction towards the inside corner you are good. its to prevent the gunk going into the eye. And if your cat panics you don't by accident poke its eye. so you want to try to gently stroke outward either towards the outer corner of the eye or down towards the nose. I hope that makes sense haha. Hard to explain without visuals.
Thanks! The only problem is my cat was traumatized in her former home, and I can't clip her claws or clean her eyes or ears. I can't even put treatment on her forehead. She is very difficult. Suggestions? Thanks.
hmm I'd say gradually build trust with it first. You feeding it everyday should let the cat know you aren't something to be scared of. once your cat trusts you and doesn't react negatively to you holding her you could try to clip her nails. Cats like things gradual. have to be patient sometimes :(

Hi, can you share how do to identify ringworm, and how to treat?
The most accurate method for diagnosing ringworm in cats is by culture of the fungus in a laboratory. For this, samples of hair and skin scrapings are taken. A positive culture can sometimes be confirmed within a couple of days, but in some cases the fungal spores may be slow to grow, and culture results can take up to four weeks, meaning that a suspected case cannot be called negative for at least a month.
In terms of treating it, use a combination of topical therapy (application of creams, ointments, or shampoos) and systemic oral therapy (administration of anti-fungal drugs by mouth). Hope that helps!

I have an 8 month young Ragdoll the same color as yours. In no way is he as calm as yours. When I wake him from his sleep I then cut his nails and if he has anything in the eye area wipe with wet cotton pad.
One of our cats is impossible to cut the nails on and making him into a burrito doesn't help. He is an Houdini 😂😼 Any else suggestions on how to cut his nails?
Hi, try doing it when they are asleep. It works better for me and i also do it few nails at a time because they are also impossible 😄

Thanks for the diagram of the clogged eye duct. My 13 yr old cat had trauma to the nose when he accidentally ran into my leg shin. Today he has swollen eye duct..that had inflamed up to the 1/2 inch in size.. the left side of is nose and cheek are swollen.. that is Dave is distorted. vet had previously done a nasal flush and blind biopsy 2 yrs ago..no cancer. But now they say there is no cure., I know it’s a clog eye duct.. but none of the vets say that’s what it is..Only that there is no cure. Cat is currently in long term prednislone steroid and on and off antibiotics. He aldo has chronic discharge on both eyes and he snorts from congestion .. The nose has stopped discharging mucus..a month ago. But the swelling isn’t going down .. even with the medication. Very frustrating.
