Klee Kais (Alaskan husky [top athletic husky mixes] x American Eskimo dog + 2 other breeds) tend to be independent & spirited, often displaying a touch of the alaskan husky's aloofness. They're intelligent & playful like the eski but may be a bit reserved w strangers. Weight max is 25 lbs. On the other hand, Pomskies (Siberian husky x pomeranian) are generally outgoing & affectionate, craving more attention & companionship than kais. They inherited the Husky's enthusiasm for life & the Pomeranian's extroverted nature, making them outgoing and sociable little pups. 🐶 Pomskies can get up to 50 lbs, which is double the kais! Both breeds are delightful in their own way, but your choice might depend on whether you prefer a more independent explorer (Klee Kai) or a social, affectionate companion (Pomsky). Personally I'd prefer the Pomsky since I love clingy pets 😂
That odd colored pomsky looks like its a merle. There are Merle pomeranians. I'm a bit concerned about using merle poms in the development of the pomsky as its a semi lethal dominant gene. Its ok if you know how to deal with it in breeding and your coat colors are such that the merle gene is obvious when you have it, but some husky coat colors could hide the merle color and crypto merles could be a real problem when breeding. I like that all colors are allowed by the breed standard. But I think they should give serious thought to the issues crypto merles can cause. For those not familiar with Merle double merles are frequently deaf and can have eye abnormalities as well. This is a serious enough issue that some European registries have actually banned the color
I'm surprised nobody called me out on this. I'd said merle was a semi lethal dominant when I'd ment to put semi dominant. Still it IS a semi lethal gene. I love how the color looks but it isnt a historical color in Northern breeds or quite a few other breeds that is been recently introduced into and its causing quite the controversy with some justification. I think the AKK standard is unlikely to ever allow merle and I am very thankful for it
@@patrickandsharonkirby2493 there no merle cript or merle gene on either Alaskan husky or Siberian husky only on the Pomeranian dog but only with husky mix dogs that were breed with purebreds dogs that have the natural Merle gene besides breeder know if you mate both Merle dog you get unhealthy pup plus they do test or embark too
