Mid-19th century documents indicate that the production of Miyakonojo bows was already a thriving local craft at the time. By the end of the century, a number of bowmakers had been instructed in the craft by two generations of the Kusumi family, who resided in the area. Blessed with an abundant local supply of raw materials, the craft continued to develop, and by the 1920s, bows were being sold across East Asia.Miyakonojo is now the country's only production center for bows, accounting for 90% of all bamboo bows produced globally

Queria um desses!!!
Muchas gracias por compartir, interesante trabajo artesanal 👏🏼💖

wow
Bamboo wedges are indeed cheaper than clamps, maybe more effective too. Consider this method learned.
Thank you for another great production. Who performed the music at the end of the clip?
🙏💐
I want one now.. 😫
Kono eiga-wa omoshiroi desu. Arigato.
How are the bamboo and wood for the core stuck together? I assume glue but I didn't see any when he was clamping them together with that wonderfully elegant rope and wedge technique. If it is glue, is it a special glue to retain elasticity?
Artists! Not craftsmen. Thank you for all. 🙏🏻
Artisans
If the body is shaking the draw weight is too high, which affects accuracy, as we see at 00:20.
this video was so runned
feels like u could spend more time showing the parts
Is it normal for his to shake that much when shooting the bow?
🌺 👍🏽
Coloca legenda em português
I use a Yokoyama Reimei yumi.
That bow's draw was a bit too heavy for the archer.
Twilight bow?
Dats a heavy bow
Any idea what is the price of such bow?
It takes 30 seconds to look it up.
@@randomnickify if you live in Japan, I don't, Mr. 30 seconds
@@krestonosets68 This is not some magical tool, this is normal sport equipment, they are selling this bows online everywhere in the world in different prices from cheap china made to original Japanese ones. In 30 seconds I've found multiple shops all around the world including one sport goods shop that's actually 10 minutes from my house and has original Japanese ones in stock and no, I'm not in Japan :) Remember, it is XXI century, you can buy EVERYTHING online and have it delivered to your home, just look it up.
