From what I recall, the reason for Ricky's anger here was that he was demonstrating how card hustles work, and hustlers are not going to be nice. He was trying to act like a real scam artist would treat a potential mark.
Perhaps. But the exact opposite is true also. In many real life situations the scam will come from the nicest guy at the table. Always beware of you are playing with and never enter a proposition bet unless you are certain that A: it’s in the square, and B you have the edge.
@@KardSharp Very true. I was just saying, this isn't Ricky being a dick; he's playing the role of a cheat and playing it (one type of) properly.
This is taught in darwin ortiz at the card table. It's called "mexican poker". I absolutely love it! So ingenious!

#hatershide so... at the time I’m writing this there are 13 likes and 1 dislike on this video. I bring it up because the majority of people who have seen this vid thus far are my subscribers who ring the bell. But every time I post a new video there is an immediate dislike! Lol it cracks me up because sometimes I will post, and then watch the video once to check it and right at the beginning of the vid I see the dislike appear before I’ve even had a chance to get thru my introduction! Which means that somebody hates me enough to subscribe and be notified every time I post a video just so he can dislike it! The dislike pops up so fast this person wouldn’t have even had a chance to watch the video. So... whatever I did to you, I’m sorry! If I took your money... my apologies.. I’m retired now! If I owe you money... then you should like and encourage others to subscribe so I can get paid from UA-cam! I’m confident this person will ever come forth... so to him or her I say... hating ain’t healthy! It’s fine to dislike my vids... but at least watch enough of the video to form an opinion! Really rare to see such a polite guy like ricky snap like that...
Lol.... I’ve heard Ricky called a lot of things... but I don’t think I’ve ever heard him called a “polite guy” before now. Don’t get me wrong... I love him. He’s great in interviews, and his acting, books and magic are fabulous. But anyone I’ve known or met who knew ricky personally would agree...he was whip smart... and from what I’m told, had very little patience spending time around those who weren’t. He turned being an eccentric elitist into an art form. Ricky wasn’t just performing in that piece. He was unleashing a special dose of rage that I would guess had been stored up for those who just don’t get it! He was amusing himself while puzzling and baffling everyone in the room. I would have enjoyed having a cocktail with him after that performance and busting his balls by pointing out the amount of money he left in the pockets of the delightful marks he had just swindled.

Great video. Loved how the majority of the video was just you playing the clip of Ricky with no commentary, and then at the end you have to sign up for a course to lean what happened, making the entire video pointless. Also, leaving in this guy arguing with the producer was a nice touch.
