In June 2024, WatZatSong user 'kpinguino' managed to identify a song name and potential artist. Fellow FMM Discord moderator 'Traiv' managed to contact the potential artist who then went on to confirm that this was indeed their song. It was called 'The Death Of Me' by Samuel Dirksz, and was only recorded as a self described 'brain fart' of musical ideas, which later found itself uploaded to his friends website.
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:
"Away From Us" is the placeholder name for a song uploaded to WatZatSong in December 2023. The 30s sample was uploaded by a user called 'asalda', who also later provided the full song. They claimed to have downloaded the song from a website called 'sheepfriends' over 7 years ago. Some potential progress has since been made, with the song possibly being called "The Death of Me", but further confirmation has not yet surfaced.
I really liked the song and actually started to do a cover a few months ago. The lyrics I interpreted differ from the 'death of me' interpretation, so bear that in mind! As always, please do let me know if you recognise this song/artist!
