  • How to Make a Sandman Cosplay Helmet. One of my bucket list builds is Dream's helmet from Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. This comic book series is absolutely fantastic and I am excited to see the live action version on Netflix. In this video I show the steps I took to create Sandman's helmet out of Eva HD Foam. If you would like to build one as well I have Free PDF templates available on my website. This helmet is a mix of several comic book references as well as the Netflix version. In part 1 I cover the fabrication of Dream's helmet and in part 2 I will go over all of the steps it takes to paint and weather the piece.

I'm making this. Unfortunately I just looked at the links when I ordered the supplies and didn't confirmed they were correct. For the foam you have 2, 6 and 10 mm on the link instead of 4, 6, and 10 mm that is required. Will it work just as well if I double up on the two mm?

Hi Steve, 2 questions i'm stuck on! It looks like 8 connector parts were used to connect the 9 bones.... but the template and video call for 9 connector pieces. Where did you place that 9th piece?
Also: it appears that connectors 1-5 (vs 1-4) are thinned on the bottom to make the curve, while connectors 6-8 are thinned on the top to "straighten" the vertebrae (vs 5-9). Which do you recommend? Thanks in advance!
