    bought my SUPER BUNDLE subscription yrs ago . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone considering purchasing. the patterns are easy to follow .. additionally , you also get the tutorial videos with the builds. They are exceptional support when creating. The patterns for me are used over and over being a valuable resource .. If you purchase the bundle i hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I do . LONG TIME member .

    The helmet looks fabulous. I like the stippling technique you used. I think it looked nice too.

    That's super cool, reminds me Achiles helmet from movie...Hey! You could make that helmet! And use a real brush as crest and even a cheap wig for the tail. With that template the possibilities are infinite. Big hug from Spain!

      Yep it could definitely be altered for that! Thanks for watching!!

    Great idea to make ancient helmets!
    Can you make a Berkasovo style helmet? I'm very curious about how you can make its jeweleries, gilding etc. 😉😀
    Great show!

    Just use contact cement. Much stronger seams and won't have to worry about melting hot glue with the heat forming.

    • @LostWax
      @LostWax  Місяць тому +4

      Yes, depending on the brand you use, but I have to glue in my basement and I have no way of extracting fumes, so I gotta stick with something that's not going to do long term damage to my health.... and I've been surprised actually how strong hot glue seams are...as long as they don't overheat.

    Where do you find that big piece of foam? We have bought foam for some of your patterns, and is not cheap.

    • @LostWax
      @LostWax  Місяць тому +1

      I get my big rolls of foam from a store here in Canada called Canadian Tire. It's something around $20-$30 a roll. It is sold as anti fatigue floor mat. Of course the downside is that it has the texture on one side.

    What size EVA foam sheet is that at the beginnt - want to buy in bulk UK 🙏

    • @LostWax
      @LostWax  19 днів тому

      That was a 4 foot by 8 foot sheet. Bought from Canadian Tire in Canada.

    can i do same but with cardboard?here foam is expensive

    • @katiewilson8285
      @katiewilson8285 Місяць тому +1

      It might work, but don't know if it'll have the same final look. For cheaper foam, I recommend using a yoga mat

    • @LostWax
      @LostWax  Місяць тому +1

      It'll be tricky to do it with cardboard, because it's not nearly as flexible as foam. If you could find an old camping mat or something like that?

    My junior high mascot was the Trojans and our cross-town rival was the Spartans. I can't wear a Spartan helmet.
