The best tip I ever learned for drawing eyes: Always make the character that you're drawing a pirate! If they have an eye patch, you only need to draw one eye and don't have to worry about making two symmetrical eyes! What a lifesaver
i think what op is trying to say here is that when one draws another eye you cover the eye you have already drawn to prevent yourself from having the pressure of drawing two overly symmetrical eyes it worked for me^^
This is one of the better videos on this system. Without complication she made a short and sweet video and quickly shows you what the book teaches which is a good book by the way. Had to subscribe
Another good tip for getting a pair of eyes to be relatively even: Every time you draw a line on one eye, stop and do the same on the other eye, then sit back and compare. It's very, very easy to think you're matching them, only to notice after the whole piece is finished, that one eye doesn't match the other. Don't be afraid to use a ruler or any other flat plane to see if things are lined up; the top/bottom of the eye, the iris, the pupil, etc. Now, almost *nobody* has perfectly identical eyes. Almost every pair of eyes will have some subtle differences, so don't obsess over getting every single thing exactly the same! It's fine to have some small variations, it helps your faces look more natural :)
@@sakurxa It really helps me to sit back or even get up and walk away and come back like an hour later, and look at it with fresh perspective. It's almost like our brains trick us into thinking the features are even or properly placed when they aren't!
I have been watching this series all week! I just picked up sketching again after a 20 year break and I've found your videos so inspiring, easy to follow and I love your style. Thank you for making these videos.
Its so important to vary eye designs (I always forget in my illustrations lol) THANK you for highlighting different designs!! I love your tutorials! ♡ 💗
You are a great teacher! Thank you so much for all of these tutorials. The Loomis method has escaped me until I watched your depiction of it.It is so helpful to watch you draw as techniques are discussed. Again, THANK YOU!
This was wonderfully helpful! Thank you! Only thing i was hoping you were going to go into was the different angles. The 3/4 kicks my butt on how to place the eyes.
this video and other tutorials like it that are on youtube now are what i needed 5-6 years ago when no one would tell me these things and just told me that "i'll never be able to draw" which obviously isnt true because now i can
You're my inspiration,i've learn drawing with your style since 2018 and now i always draw faces like yours, and my friends always ask me to draw faces almost everyday, she said she like the way i draw and the way it looks,i'm really happy for that,i wanna say thank you so much for you and all your videos on youtube❤❤ sorry my english is pretty bad because i'm an asian :((
These are very helpful. I tend to struggle a bit with placing eyes in proper placement areas on the face. They tend to look weird Your videos are really helpful. Thank you!
HI! Is there going to be more? I have always been afraid of drawing faces but you make it look so simple I just had to try... and it's so much fun while following your tips! I can't wait for another video. Give us another one please! :)

Could you please show how to draw eyes on a 3/4 face view?... I find it difficult to draw the second eye...btw thank youu for this fantastic face drawing series!!
Awesome but my problem is that when I have to draw the whole body of my character for my comic , It becomes *REAL* hard as there's very less room , can you please help by making a video or even a comment . Pliss
Hi...I'm a subscriber, the pupil is set in the middle of the eye right? However I notice in some of your drawings some pupils are lifted exposing some white so when this happens are your drawings looking up?
This was from 2019... any chance you could do a video on the lips? And open mouths too - not just closed ones? BTW I hope I can get to your level one day.

What about 3/4 or side view ? That's my main problem with eyes 😅
