I love watching you during your session, it is such entertaining and we learn so much from you! thank you!
Thanks so much for watching! Grateful to have you tuning in!
As an introvert with a love for photography, I wish I could communicate as you do. Still working on the direction and talking aspect.
It definitely took SO much time for me to feel comfortable with! And, if that's not your personality - that's okay! Incorporate it into the way you market to your ideal client and you'll attract clients who prefer more laid back, soft spoken direction :)
It's interesting that you're shooting in front of houses, because it's Charleston. Here in San Diego people always go to the park or lake or beach. I like to take pictures of houses, so I think this is neat. Just not something I've seen. I'm still watching, now you're at the beach! lol
How do you deal with getting asked not to take photos in the city or do you have a permit? Also, do you take landscape images as well? Love your work! :)
Permits are not required downtown Charleston! If I'm asked not to photograph in front of a specific building, I always honor that! But it's typically not an issue because the areas are so popular anyway :)
Are you shooting in raw? I am not a pro, but I still do the jpeg thing and have had no problems with it. Guess what I am asking is I understand that you can get more latitude editing in raw, but if you try to nail the exposure in camera as much as possible, is raw still worth all the space it eats up?
JPEGs can definitely be used if you get the look you're going for in camera. Raws do offer more latitude for editing but if you're just posting to socials JPEGs will work.
I personally still recommend shooting in RAW! You could even shoot in something like mRAW to have slightly smaller files but still get a little more control with editing. The quality and editing abilities of a RAW image are worth the extra storage in my opinion. We've all had those moments when a setting accidentally gets changed or light drastically changes mid-shoot and I'd rather be able to save those images!
@@HopeTaylor thanks for the recommendation, I will have to play with it and see. Appreciate the advice, love your videos! 🙂📸
