- So we are a week into LEGO Star Wars 2024 and one of the biggest questions we have is what is up with the LEGO Star Wars 2024 UCS Jabba Sail Barge? This all started from a LEGO Survey Leak from earlier in 2023 and it involves lots of sets such as LEGO Snow White, LEGO 2024 Lord of the Rings, LEGO DC, LEGO Zelda, & More. With this being a LEGO Star Wars Channel the Sail Barge is the biggest talk of the town. Here is the full update on anything and everything we know about this supposed LEGO Star Wars 2024 UCS Set leak.

I’m “of that generation” and can confirm it would do better as MBS than UCS. The Cantina got me out of a long Lego dark age, and a large Sail Barge with 15+ figs would do the same for others, I’m sure.

Personally, I like the idea of a sail barge being more of a mbs situation. Give us like 20-25 figs, would be perfect.
I agree, if Lego is going to make it $650, the sail barge would need about 20-24 mini figures and interior if it can be made

If marvel can have 30+ figures in a 5200 piece set no reason star wars can't have 20+ in a 6500 one. 1.Luke 2.Han 3.Chewbecca 4.Lando 5.Leia 6.C3po 7.R2-D2 8.Jabba 9.Bib fortuna 10.Boba Fett 11.Salacious Crumb 12.Max Rebo 13.Gamorrean guard 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Skiff guards 19.Ree Yees 20.Tessek and more aliens lego never made.
I’ve been so excited for this set since it’s original rumors. I hope it releases. I also do believe it will have the full scene. The barge itself isn’t very notable but the scene it’s in is definitely one of the most well known scenes in Star Wars.
I'd love a UCS Sailbarge but if that's not coming, I'd love me a UCS Arc-170 with Plo Koon/ a couple of the Wolfpack pilots and a few droids. It'd be amazing but I highly doubt Lego will allow it.
I think the Sail Barge is a great idea for a bigger set. I also agree with you that there should be more than 2 figs with this to at least give you the band and a few other figs to round it out. It might be a better idea to do this as an MBS instead of UCS though.

I believe the book fig will be Jedi Bob after Ryan’s vid and your comments on ACOB. Crossing my fingers for Bob. If they give us a sail barge they better include 2 desert skiffs aswell.
Ask lbs do you think the $55 tantive 4 birding diorama will have a base or will it be like the dark trooper one?
It needs to be way more MBS than UCS to work effectively. For me, the minifigures will absolutely make or break this set more than almost anything else. Without Mos Eisley Cantina amounts of minifigures (and a similar proportion of new prints/molds/whatever), this set will be such a hard sell, especially when considering all the other sets coming out in 2024.
Another MBS factor is including smaller builds to compliment the main build, so skiffs and the sarlacc are musts as well, for my money at any rate.
If the sail barge comes out, it’s a must have on my list…
I really would like an x mansion to come out as a UCS set I think that would look nice next to the sanctum sanctorum avengers tower and daily bugle.
Really really want this "IF" it is more in the MBS style with a skiff and 15 Minifigures!! This would sell tremendously well

MBS style set packed with Glup Shittos would literally be the best way to approach the set. Interesting to see how and if they update near perfect minifigs like Hutt Slayer Leia or Jabba himself

If the sail barge rumour is true (here's hoping!), I'd love lego to include max rebo's backup singers/dancers greeata jendowanian (she's already an unlockable character in the skywalker saga game), rystall sant (she's already in the boba's Palace set), and lyn me. BUT if they finally make a sly snootles minifig that would be a day one purchase
Me to but in the sail barge scene, the only member of the max rebo band is max rebo himself, not the rest of the group...
im a OT guy and im looking forward for both UCS sets. I would like the Sail barge to be with alot of mini figs and a great build.
The Hasbro haslab jabbas sailbarge was a huge success and was retailed at 500.00 with 1 exclusive figure 5 years ago and now you can’t buy it for less than 2000. This ship is iconic and Lego has to put at least 8 mini figs . You need a bunch of henchman also sy snootles and the other band member to go with max reebo . If they throw in a jabba and one other figure that won’t cut it.
As I grew up watching OG trilogy I never had the all the funds to purchase the original sets and missed out on the bigger sets. ROTJ my all time favorite SW movie, I need all the figs too; 3 eyes, Max Rebo, Slave Leia, etc. I own must of the skiffs, and sarlacc pit sets but that is it. So my ideal set would include large playset style with all the figs needed for all scenes. Hope Lego gets this right. Thanks for the good video Tyler
The barge could be on a built in stand with a desert base (Sarlac pit built in) then some skiffs on transparent pieces.
Almost like a large diorama set. That’d be pretty awesome.
That could also justify a piece count if you’re building a base/stand for the barge.
i LOVE the sand barge it’s my favorite scene in star wars! (except boba dying so easily lol) i have the OG sail barge but i NEED a bigger one!
I think it would be great if the UCS sail barge would be like a MBS set and come with a bunch of minifigs. It would pair nicely with the cantina. I think the UCS AT-AT proves how a set with a great exterior can also have a great interior. I think if the sail barge happens it will be an amazing set. But definitely will unfortunately cost way above $400 more like $600+. Either way I think we still need a true MBS set to be at the $400 mark to come at some point.

For me, The sail barge itself wouldn’t be the draw, but the figs! That’s why I’m hoping for a cheaper playset with a jabba, lando and max rebo
I grew up watching the OT and got to see Phantom Menace in Theaters. Honestly, I don't want a UCS Sail Barge. Yeah, we got that amazing, badass scene of revealing Luke's new lightsaber and him going to town on a bunch of gangsters. But really, I don't feel like it would be a good UCS. The Sail Barge would absolutely be better as a big expensive set with like 20 minifigs, the skiffs, or the Barge and 15 minifigs are one set and the two Skiffs and the Sarlacc Pit as an accompanied set.
Honestly if they wanted a UCS from Return of the Jedi specifically, Home One?! Like the flagship of the entire Rebellion, give us Akbar as a figure, slap "It's a trap!" on the plaque. I mean it sells itself.
We need a UCS or a MBS CIS or Trade Federation MTT, with over 30-50 droids, and at least three STAP's, as well as maybe a troop carrier like that from the 2007 battle droid battle pack.

I’m definitely an OT guy, and not really a mini fig guy, but the sail barge as a pure display set at $650 would not tempt me. It would definitely have to be more MBS than UCS.
If the Mos Eisley Cantina is the direct comp, there's no way they can charge $650 on the barge even with 20 minifigures. Cantina has 21 figures, including a large mold figure, and has 3200 pieces for $400. If they release a barge with some side builds totaling ~4000 pieces, with 20 figures, the most they can charge is $500, and that's really pushing it.
This set also has to compete with Rivendell, which is $500 for 6200 pieces and 15 minifigures for a colorful build vs 4000 pieces of a brown boat for $650? If Lego is that greedy then it's over for them.
I like the idea of a MBS Sail Barge
I don’t know that I want a huge 6500 piece Sail Barge, because It would likely mean that for a long time we wouldn’t get another play scale Sail Barge and we probably won’t get a new Jabba or Slave Leia for an affordable price. I think a UCS Sail Barge would look really cool though.
Hello from France ! I'm from that generation, i saw all movies in theaters the day they went out. If they do a MBS sail barge like the cantina, i would buy one for me and another four or five to invest in. 😅

If Lego is truly coming out with a huge UCS Jabbas Sail Barge and it is in fact 6,500 pieces, then it better have a ton of figures and some exclusive ones or like you said do a MBS style version ( which i personally would prefer) that has a couple skif's and the pit and some other things. I for one will not spend $650 for a huge Sail Barge with hardly any figures.
I have all the necessary figures to fill the barge if it doesn't include any. I just hope its Minifigure scale. Thats my biggest thing

When MBS cloud city and mos eisley released, did LEGO still release 2 UCS sets that year? I would much prefer a MBS set Sail Barge.
It would be a great set for me, Sail barge, desert skiff, and 10+ minifigs, just perfect! I'm a 50 years old star wars fan, so, the sail barge scene back in 1983 was something i loved when i saw it on screen. I'll buy it for sure! Thank you for the good (leak) news :)

I think an MBS version of it would be the only way for lego to release it. I don't think there are people who would spend that amount of money for a ship that's not that iconic (and I don't think it's even a matter of generations). To me personally, something like the cantina would be awesome. Many exclusive minifigures and a lot of play features could make me consider spending that much money, even though for 650 I would still rather get the venator instead. I don't know, I feel like it would still be too much.
For the Sailbarge I just look at this years big Avengers Tower. That is the level of figures, details and side builds I expect from the Sailbarge set.
I'd like a lot of quality minifigures with perhaps 1 skiff. This could be one of the first UCS sets I purchase. This scene was always awesome to me in my childhood
Maybe they will do something like the AT AT , a UCS ship and a playscale scif in 2025?

mbs would be so much better than ucs for something like a sail barge i hope so cause I dont want the mbs sets to go away cause mos eisley is so good and there could be such good figs for the sail barge
I think a playscale or MBS take on the rescue battle with a skiff + sarlacc pit + maybe a ship facade with a nice minifig selection would sell like crazy. People love the weird alien figs. The sail barge on its own is not very compelling IMO. I've got the money but I don't want a 3 foot reddish brown turd taking up space in my house. And if I did, I would certainly prefer one of the sandcrawler iterations to this thing.

I fucking love the sale barge but only like you said for the scene it appears in it definitely needs to include more than the one mini figure if we get just Jabba it’s mystique and interest factor goes down by a lot in my opinion and also I think it needs to come with a sac pit side build
Personally I can care less about the sail barge. Why dont the give us geonosis arena or corrusant jedi temple as MBS sets. I would even like the endor bunker or ewok village better than another tatoine set. Love your vids Tyler.

I really have no interest in paying $600 for Jabba Sail Barge. Think I will just buy something from another theme, probably finally get Rivendell or a couple big Icons sets.

I would like to see the dinner from episode 2 and make it a double set meaning it can be two things one with obi-wan and then the dinner with Gregor and the droids that found him in the dinner in that one episode with the colonel bascone just have it with a two torsos for Gregor one with his work cloths and the other with his armor would be cool

I honestly hope that they make the sailbarge like they did the cantina where we get a lot of figures I think giving us a skiff and a sarlacc would be nice too although I could see them potentially making a second set with the skiff and the sarlacc but that’s what my hope is I just know I’ve wanted the 2013 version for a long while now so I’m hoping this one exceeds my expectations so I don’t have to spend 450 on the 2013 one
