Thanks, great channel and always great advice. I notice no one has really covered going out in offshore winds with a wing or at least I have not seen it. Maybe you can talk a bit about that. I go out in cross offshore conditions and it's awesome. Clean and smooth if you get out far enough. I use the Cabrinha X2 7m down here in Key West and it's awesome. Love it. Getting a 4m and I should be covered. Hit me up if you are ever down in the Keys. Got some great wing surfing spots I can show you. Later.
So funny! We just did it 2 weekends ago and it was magical... Straight offshore wind in waves! It was incredible... A little gusty but works fine and worst case you swim in on your stomach on your board, but we rode straight out and back in straight off shore winds! :) Glad you are loving it friend.....

Water spots are hard and I don't have the solution yet... :)

Realistically should I invest in iMac? Or is there a tablet or phone capable of doing 360.
Looking to self film my wings as I always seem to ride alone here in NZ. But all my cam gear is old and editing capabilities even older.
Not sure on a tablet but I use a Mac and my iPhone to edit. The Gopro studios is great as a software to edit with! You can export it into Adobe Premiere Pro as well and edit it.
Thanks for the tips.. If you crash a lot, you think a mouth mount would hurt your teeth? I was looking at a chest harness but I guess you wouldn't see much with that right..

Frank, As long as you have a 360 camera from Gopro "max or a Insta 360. In the editing it automatically takes it away for you. You have to have a 360 camera or there is no way.. :) Have a great weekend....
TY, which mount do all the kitesurfers use when you see a video go from POV to pointing the camera to there own face and saying something and putting it back to POV etc. mostly after doing a trick, and are these quick releases maybe like from peak design ?
The month mount as you can have POV then, grab with your hand turn it and capture your face. Or it is the 360 MAX mount as you get all angles...
6:05 where do you get this mount? And would the gooseneck from gopro work as well? Does the length of the stick matter to have the stick filtered out? Thx for sharing.
Any stick will work! Similar ones are below: Gooseneck will not work as it will flex and bend, then you will see it in the shot. What about mounting the max 360 onto the noirmatter line mount and gimble? Is that a redundant set up?

Is the quark stabilzer waterproof?
Great video - how do you keep your lens free of drops... licking the lens did not work for me!
It is hard really, it gets wet you just hope the drop it is not in a bad spot..... A lot of footage is waisted... Water is hard! :)
What settings do use on hero (not 360) when you us line mount so you capture all of you?

What settings do you use on the go pro and how do you avoid the quality worsening when you go to post it?
Anything over 1080 HD. Also could be when exporting from the program might be the wrong setting. Have a look at it.

I tried the helmet mount - the weight seems to pull the helmet back badly- sort of choking me. Any pointers on that?
Well I know what you are saying, was the same for us! Only thing to do is widen your chin strap to distribute the load!
It would be great if you could make a video about insta360 X3 and kitesurfing...there are practically no videos about the best mount for it.

@@francozanette5392Yeah (Go Pro Max*). And the videos about x3 mounts are usually for other sports (like surfing, motocross, biking). I also had a lot of difficulties finding good videos about x3 and diving.
@@francozanette5392 most work the same with the insta360 on a pole, but yes all the kite, line mounts don't work you are correct!

You forget to tell that Quark Noir Matter Stabilizer is not waterproof enough to get in water and should not be sold for kitesurfing. As Noir Matter wrote to me: "Quark as it's not made to be submerged in the water and might not work" It is quite difficult to prevent it from getting into water when kitesurfing :-(
Therefore, I bought the Skord you also show, but i can not make it work as you show. No matter what, it dangles or if I tighten it it does not follow the horizon
rist mount is also one of the best to use thats what i use its not in the way .
