Also, a shout out to Harpie Lady, which became a dominate archetype in both Speed Duels AND Rush Duels, the latter thanks to Harpie Lady Sisters. Instead of a single 1900 Attack 6-Star monster, it's three 5-Star Monsters with 2100 Attack each that can combine into one Maximum Monster with 3400 Attack. Even better, there was a skill that allowed Harpies summoned normally to get a 500 Attack boost every turn, which allowed them to run over most normal boss monsters, even Dragias.
The Harpies Rush deck is so good, granted it's not the absolute best but it's as F2P friendly as possible, which really helps, I love Rush Duels and if I play anything that isn't Harpies I'll probably lose lol
@Koyomimatic my favorite Rush decks to play so far are Harpies, Buster Blader (an absolute BEAST of a deck, despite only having high attack power in the tribute summons, plus it HARD counters Dragon decks), and Royal Rebels. The new RR skill makes them EXTREMELY consistent
S-Force, Vampire, and briefly Meklord and War Rock and the Rose Dragons. The prevailing DL theme and the one that appropriately suits having the poll accessory is Shiranui. Went through many iterations and remained strong. Most decks don’t have that. Harpies successfully ruled a weaker metagame with Cyber Slash and advantage. Shira had combos and a grind game, versatility, and a full kit of cards that made use of zombie cards only as much as needed. Somehow the most enduring DL deck besides BEWD permitted to be used that powerfully.
Shitanui was deck for a like a few months and then it was stupid traps turbo, having shitanui or nothing was pretty much the same, your objective was to spam as many stupid broken traps as possible
Aromages are as dominant as they were was less to do with what they can do and more the fact that at their peak, all of the archetype was available for free. By the time support started showing up on boxes, the archetype was already getting crept to oblivion. It's the F2P nature of Aromas that made it #1, not their effects.
Another note. With Aromage, their effects can be even stronger because there are multiple skills that automatically increase your life points right from the start. Life Boost Alpha gives you a free 1,000 LP with no blowbacks. The game also recently introduced Synchro Stormraze, a skill that Yusei, Sherry, and Yugo can acquire. It automatically gives you an extra 1500 LP at the start of a Duel. Then, once per turn, you can manually give one Monster on the field an extra 300 Attack points, with another 500 on top of that if you control either a Wind Syncrho Monster (such as Stardust Dragon or Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon) or a Wind Monster and a Synchro Monster at the same time.
Another way to easily explain the Cyber Angel relevance is that, despite being used by a GX character, they came out in the TCG/OCG in the Arc-V era, and their effects were balanced for that time. So when Duel links allowed them to come in with Alexis. They allowed cards that were balanced for 2017 era power creep, in a card poll that was mostly cards from 2008 and prior. With nearly a decade of power creep ahead of everything else... yeah they were going to be tier 0. And then they did this AGAIN with the "fur hire" archetype.... that one doesn't even have an anime character who used them... so why that came through is beyond me.
The issue isnt the effects, is that we had 3 benten, but only 1 idaten and 2 cyber petit, and access to senju, sure it wasn't manju, but having a searcher for all your monsters kind of breaks the mold and the absolute ritual also recicles your monsters, so you had nearly unlimited resources
@@nunocarvalho6671 And the searching effect of Benten wasn't apart of the anime version, but added to the irl version (same with Idaten's search/recovering effect). With the Absolute Ritual never even appearing in GX, making it's debut in Arc-V. So I'm still pretty sure the near decade power creep they were originally designed around was still a significant factor.
Yeah Alexis wielded CRAZY power for her time... If it wasn't for her being... Her, Cyber Angels would've probably been one of the most memorable archetypes from GX era
Fur hire power level when they reign is not as high as cyber angels power level when they reign since like you said....cyber angels got released when the card pool is really small....idk what konami thinking at that time
DDD was one of the best at some point, when it was the only deck that could bring 3 bosses at 1 turn: DDD D'arc, DDD Beowolf and DDD high Alexander. Making you imune to burn, destroy backrow, recover cards from the grave and an instakill with Alexander boost!
Love that Aromages got number 1. I played them a ton in links but my favorite duel with them was on Nexus where I survived a ftk burn strat with just 300 life points, and went on to beat the guy through deck out since he kept using Burning Abyss cards and ended the duel having 10300 life points after being repeatedly blasted by 3 3k beatsticks one of them being Ultimate Falcon, of which I eventually overcame right before he lost to deck out. Since then I will never diss a single Aromage deck, and I always love those crazy plant loving mages.
I want to give a shout out to Weather Painters. They were the first deck that got me anywhere in PvP. They taught me just how powerful bouncing monsters as opposed to destroying them was.
Life is good, until you see, "Your opponent cannot activate card or effect during the Battle Phase/Damage Step." That and the almighty Triamid is F2P best friend.
Yeah, really bizarre choice to not include them. They were absolutely oppressive in DL and certainly a lot better in their time than a majority of this list. Fur Hire is also notably absent.
The Darklord banlist was such a sight to behold. An archtype slaughtered by the banlist to the point they became unplayable... Th only other slaughter coming close is the recent Agents slaughter lol
earth machines are simple enough that the ai can easily figure out how to get to gustav and liebe from just about any hand that's able, makes for pretty quick wins too
I feel like you could easily make another top 10 of this kind. There are a lot of other decks that were meta for a while: crystron, shiranui, harpies, meklords, magnet warriors... Without even considering many others due to the accessibility of the skills
Aromages quickly became my favorite deck in duel links when I played, I also enjoyed Harpies and Inzektor. I haven't played in years, and I don't actually play the physical TCG but I went out of my way to make all 3 of those decks IRL and I am quite happy with that choice. The last of the 4 decks I used frequently in duel links I need to make is Silent magician. I also still update my Aromage deck, the newest support was actually pretty cool.
@@moodq7733 I think Skills are actually great. Normally anime decks would be the ones to have some crazy skills, but these days they intentionally make random archetypes like the new Master hyperion support (WHICH IS ALREADY GOOD BTW) with Skills that are basically as good at characters' skills.
There came a point a couple years ago where skills became abit too ridiculous essentially winning games by themselves even if it was from a losing position. Before that they were so fun.
Didn't notice the Aromages until I had to win a duel with some 7-8k LP. Then tried them using Spectre (w/ 'Tree all seeing' skill) . And yeah...now I'm trying to complete the deck 😅 Putting in some Rikkas was the decision that won me 4-5 duels

If this card is used as Tribute or Material for the Summon of an “Amazoness” and/or “Harpie” monster, Draw 1 card._ ATK/1300 DEF/1400
Toons are some of the most evergreen rogue decks in the game. They'll never be top tier, but they can absolutely hold their own against whatever meta threat Konami decides to throw at the playerbase. And they don't even have Toon Terror yet!
I am pretty sure we could make a 2nd video out of this topic. After all, S-Force is among the biggest "it became good in Duel Links" decks. Fur Hire too. Darklords too. And Harpies. Also maybe The Agent getting a mention of how it nearly became tier 0 (before people got creative with zombie world). Mekk-Knight was also way stronger in duel links than it was in real life. Also how Mizar Stuff (Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon dragon) also being a tier 0.
I'm missing a 3rd copy of the URs as well as the new R support and not sure if it's worth digging for them (I got them from regular instead of anniv boxes).
It was thx to duel links that I learned the existence of Aromage, and it became my favorite deck ever since, even in other games (legacy of the duelist, for example). It feels like this deck is all about getting advantages, whilst having super advantages if you gain the advantage, and if you dare lose the advantage you can get advantage that will auto-fuel itself for extra advantage (yo dawg...) In other news, I'm quite shocked not seeing Harpies here. When I learned of the terror that's called Slash Harpie, I switched to her, and left the aromages (remember, my #1 favorite deck) behind. I basicaly never lost with it (nor have I lost with aromages, but still...). I was devastated to learn that she's not in Legacy, so I couldn't recreate my deck there.
back when i played Duel Links, the deck that everyone using was Fur Hire. i've never really heard anyone talk about it in regards to the TCG. was it ever decent?
Just as a note, as said by DL, Yubel is still heavily played nowadays, but not using the "My Name is Yubel" skill. Instead, there's a skill with Jaden/Yubel called "Eternal Bond." It allows you to Normal Summon both Yubel and Elemental Hero Neos without Tributing. More importantly, the skill also allows you to instantly achieve Yubel's higher forms or Fusion Summon either Kluber or Neos Wiseman with little to no trouble, and on your first turn, to boot. It's not THE most used Skill nowadays (Battle Chronicle and the new Borrel skill are, right now), but it's still heavily used.
It should be noted for Amazoness, Onslaught came out in Duel Links at a time where backrow removal was at a premium, and the game was still very battle-centric. Pretty much, Cosmic Cyclone was the only good generic card for the job, and decent in-archetype options were also very scarce. Never mind that anything that would destroy Onslaught would mean them reviving another Amazoness, making any alternatives still questionable.
Nice to see my favorite deck of all time for duel links featured here: Triamids, such a grindy and rewarding to master archetype. There's a ton of only good in duel links decks to make a part 2 or even 3: vampires, red eyes, ice barriers, sylvans, FA, Koa'ki Meiru, Ancient Gears, and the list goes on and on and on.
Was literally rewatching the triple feature of Archetype Archive from RATA when the notif for this came up. Which is Triamid, Chemicritter, and Digital Bug.
I wish Digi Bugs got Resistrider before Links came. Would have given them a chance to be playable. Got Digi Bugs and Chemicritters on my main and Triamids as my starter on an alt so I understand the pain.
back a few years ago in duel links before synchro summons came out a toon deck was extremely OP you could immediately spawn with toon kingdom and potential set up 2 toom summoned skulls in one turn
Funnily enough it seemed like Paradox Bros. were a better pilot for the toon deck than Pegasus himself back then. My deck would use Three Star Demotion for St. Joan to gain enough LP to re-use the skill for Toon Barrel Dragon later
I’d love to see the opposite list. TCG meta threats that flopped in Duel Links. One of the big ones is Prank-Kids. The reduced hand size down to 4 makes Prank-Kids one of the most inconsistent decks Duel Links has ever seen.
The hight of my Duel Links addiction was Odion TrapHell Amazoness and Fur-Hires were both the best decks to play for all general content, including PvP
Interesting fact, Amazoness Archer also didn't have Amazoness in her card name initially and was named Amazon Archer and the all the other Amazoness cards that mentioned Amazoness cards also had the text "or is named Amazon Archer"
i had the aromage deck because the deck was cheap , since most of his cards are in the merchant. You forgot ressonadors, koai meiru, fortune fairys and onomatopeia.
You should start doing many clips of the combos you explain. I haven't been watching lately but you're one of my favorite YGO UA-camr. I'm sorry for my rudeness for commanding. But your layouts are amazing. Love your wording structure as well.
Fortune Lady actually good in DL, well... If you "fortune" to get Every Fortune Lady is kinda like Chaos MAX in MD. If you get through combo uninterrupted, you win. If you messed up, you lose. And yeah... The legendary Tea Burn, one that change DL entirely
As an Aroma player myself, please aim for the backrow, specially Blessed winds... its our main weakpoint, even when the remaining Aroma cards are added to DL)
This video just reminds me of why I adore Duel Links. Which is just how diverse and weird the meta is at times and just how seemingly random decks can become insane meta defining cards in the game. I know DL gets a lot flack from the broader Yugioh fandom but nobody can deny that its cool seeing decks that never got or will ever get a chance to shine in the TCG become meta or insanely popular in Duel Links.
Woo Aromage mention!!!!! They so quickly became my favourite archetype in the game and are pretty much always what I return to when other decks get boring
Aromage and Fur Hire were the first decks I played back in 2018 and they made me and my friends come back to TCG after 15 years... Duel Links was so fun until 2022, for me it is the most fun way to play the card game in years, skill cards are awesome (when they have less than 5 lines and don't compensate for the deck).
I love hearing and remembering about all these stuff. I never had any issues with the decks because Cyber dragons with no restrictions to Cybernetic Fusion and Cyber Overflow was just insane. You could summon Chimeratech rampage dragon, target your Cyber Overflow, chain Overflow to destroy cards and because you chained it you chain blocked anything, got the destruction effect, and the search effect to grab Cybernetic Fusion. Yubel was my only threat but when the spell and trap were limited it went from a 50-50 to 10-90
Remember how CRACKED darklords were? Especially by the time they came out having a rare counter trap that healed and was replayable was so broken, easily one of the most powerful decks of the time.
They were so broken, Konami just set up the canons and absolutely slaughtered the archtype through the banlist. Several cards are still banned to this day. I think the only banlist which can compare is the recent Agents slaughter

30:48 Idea for an Aromage boss monster: _Aromage Titan Arum_ (WIND) Level 10 Zombie/Effect _Requires "Aroma" Tributes to Normal Summon/Set. During a turn where you gain 4000 or more LP, you can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY. Your opponent cannot target Face-Up “Aroma” cards you control for attacks or card effects, except Face-Up “Aromage Titan Arum”. You gain LP equal to the total Orignal ATK/DEF of all monsters that are sent to the GY or Banished. Once per turn, you can Special Summon any number of Insect monster from your hand, who’s combined total ATK/DEF is equal to or less than your LP._ ATK/4000 DEF/4000 I based off of the Titan Arum (Corpse Flower) that can be found in Indonesia. These flowers are MASSIVE and infamous for deliberately smelling like a rotting carcass to attract insects for pollination purposes (Hence its attribute, type, ATK/DEF and effects.)
As someone who has played aromage for YEARS I feel like I can evaluate this! They have a boss monster, I’m not sure why this is a main deck card. Seeing as the deck is a synchro(fusion) deck. So this might work better on a fusion or synchro. As for the targeting effect they already have this. Majoram already does this for ALL cards (including herself) Also it being a zombie clashes hard with the deck since it plant locks you.
@@megaspacewaffles Well I could change things up for sure (The Zombie typing was more of an in-joke in regards to its real life inspiration plant)… How about I make it an Xyz monster (Since the “Aroma” monsters already have Fusions, Links and Syncrhos)? 27:03 Idea for a Toon/Tuner monster (a Toon-er) to help Toon monsters out in the TCG/OCG _Saturday Morning Car-Toon-er_ (FIRE) Level 1 Machine/Toon/Tuner/Effect _Cannot attack the turn it is Summoned. While you control "Toon World" and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. If a Toon monster you control inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can add 1 card to your hand (from your deck) that mentions “Toon”, “Tuner” or “Synchro” in it’s name or text. A Synchro Monster that used this card and 1 or more other Toon monsters as Synchro Materials is treated as a Toon monster while on the field, and gains the following effects:_ _⚪️Cannot attack the turn it is Summoned. While you control "Toon World" and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly._ ATK/500 DEF/200
@@Nefaliss Meanwhile my idea for the card art would be something along the lines of those old “CARToons rat fink” pics you’d see on Mad Magazine, mixed with a bit of that “Cars” animated movie. As for gameplay, the card would probably be VERY useful for being a FIRE Machine monster with 500 ATK and 200 DEF, which would make it a candidate for both “Machine Duplication” AND “Rekindling”, and that’s all before the Toon and Tuner typings and it’s actual effects.
Back in the day, Aromages was the first deck I got max rarity for all its cards. I basically flexed an entire deck of glossy/prismatic Aromage cards and even won a community tournament with them. Sadly the deck doesn’t see much play anymore due to the fast pace of the game and access to removal cards and negates. Even with their support from the minibox, it doesn’t have enough power to contend with the meta. From my experience, I’ve never lost to Aromages with their backrow support. At the time, I was playing a control-oriented Blue-Eyes deck and I figured out how to use Dragon Spirit of White’s banish effect more than once per turn. So more or less, Aromages have had their time in the spotlight

recently came back cause of boredom, found my dinomist deck is still rocking some nice levels of power. it does have issues compared to the pre vrains days, but since you could only bring one from the extra deck a turn anyway its not much to have them go to the extra zone when recycling them. honestly it just made the deck slightly stronger since i can now have a spinos and three pleos at once potentially reducing all opponents by 2700 att/def. one thing i like about the dinomist is they dont do negate spam. i want to play, not be told by my opponent only he gets to play today. in my aromage deck ive got a syncro dragon, cant remember the name right now, whos attack is raised by the difference in your LP to the opponents. had that thing to 12k the other day.
I absolutely love Ursarctic. Their designs are so damn cool and their play style seems fun, albeit costly. I really do hope it gets proper new support one day (not enough to make it meta, but enough to bring it into relevancy)
Tier 0 darklords (i miss em), vampires, evil eye, tier 1 mekklords, tier 1 crystrons, tier 0 spellbook/silent magician, onomats (vietnam flashbacks). It recently sees a lot of play because all those MCs suddenly got abilities that let them normal summon their ace monsters without tributing. Dark Magician, Blue-Eyes, Neos & Yubel,...
so many of these decks in this list were my competitive pet decks during my runs through dkayed's duel links phase, i deeply miss aromages and amazoness(fa darklord meta) and into the void mayosenju
I totally used aromages for a while, but now I run a Yubel neos deck with eternal bond skill, neos fusion into kleuger and use eternal bond for ultimate nightmare, then just repeat the cycle if it goes down, kleuger survives off the effect of fusion and then floats into wiseman as back up.
What’s funny is that I even play 1 of each of the Aromage monsters in my Rikka deck because their “while your LP is higher” effect is all your Plants, not just Aromage’s.
Duel links is definitely its own form of yugioh. But I absolutely love it. Feels like a slowed down version of tcg that I don’t have to see a bunch of fat smelly people at locals every week to play
Make a “failed cards, etc.” video on naturia please! Also, how about a “top 10 cards NEVER restricted in any way, but were widely considered to be hit on a banlist” (ex. Dante)
Actually got some decent use out of Seraphy Rosemary in my spright deck since she fills out my leftover extra deck slot and I can kinda easily bring her out since sprights are all level 2s while the go to hand traps are almost all level 3 tuners so if it’s just filling up your hand not doing anything it can be nice. Plus she has a bit of synergy with Ki-sikils life point gain. Not like any amazing must have for the deck but a decent throw in if you got a leftover spot and don’t wanna fork over a bunch of money for a duplicate monster.
You gotta admit, having Yubel alongside Phoenixes of Nephtys and Fire Kings made for a pretty sick aesthetic (Phoenix King Yubel?) XD Not to mention thematically appropriate for them.
Ursarctic is definitely one my favorite pet decks. Going to be pub after a tournament and beating someone with it is an unmatched feeling because itself a 50/50 it does nothing

DDD was one of the best at some point, when it was the only deck that could bring 3 bosses at 1 turn:
DDD D'arc, DDD Beowolf and DDD high Alexander.
Making you imune to burn, destroy backrow, recover cards from the grave and an instakill with Alexander boost!
It's me. I love Ursarctics. It's got cool mechs that AREN'T dragon-shaped, that's good enough for me.
Oh my god, not even in this list the Darklords get talked about
This is a big one. Got hit ages ago and still has multiple limited cards
F.A Mach with darklord and level augmentation 😂😂
I'm still naively hoping for a video on them for October. What better time to talk about the Literally Satan deck than spooky month?
Yeah, really bizarre choice to not include them. They were absolutely oppressive in DL and certainly a lot better in their time than a majority of this list. Fur Hire is also notably absent.
The Darklord banlist was such a sight to behold. An archtype slaughtered by the banlist to the point they became unplayable... Th only other slaughter coming close is the recent Agents slaughter lol
Aromage has been my Go-to auto battle deck for events and XP grinding, i throw it on every new character I unlock.
Red eyes or harpies are mine. Auto-duel just clicks buttons, might as well give them zero options to lose.
earth machines are simple enough that the ai can easily figure out how to get to gustav and liebe from just about any hand that's able, makes for pretty quick wins too
Yeah. I used to autoduel Amazoness until they dumbed down the AI. Now I currently autoduel with Tenyi, the AI so far hasn't messed it up.
The AI can pilot Six Samurai fairly well too.
Six Samurai is my daily grinder.
I use Heroes.
The AI can't mess up summon Stratos, fuse, use miracle fusion and just smash
I feel like you could easily make another top 10 of this kind. There are a lot of other decks that were meta for a while: crystron, shiranui, harpies, meklords, magnet warriors... Without even considering many others due to the accessibility of the skills
It's honestly weirder that Shiranui came back >_>

Aromages quickly became my favorite deck in duel links when I played, I also enjoyed Harpies and Inzektor. I haven't played in years, and I don't actually play the physical TCG but I went out of my way to make all 3 of those decks IRL and I am quite happy with that choice.
The last of the 4 decks I used frequently in duel links I need to make is Silent magician.
I also still update my Aromage deck, the newest support was actually pretty cool.
Duel links made me wish that skill cards existed in core yugioh, its so fun having toons be playable
Skills are such a bad thing for rough decks it just kills decks with no good skills and Konami won't balance it as it is in duel links
Agreed, skills are great and fun when well projected
There came a point a couple years ago where skills became abit too ridiculous essentially winning games by themselves even if it was from a losing position. Before that they were so fun.
Didn't notice the Aromages until I had to win a duel with some 7-8k LP.
Then tried them using Spectre (w/ 'Tree all seeing' skill) . And yeah...now I'm trying to complete the deck 😅
Putting in some Rikkas was the decision that won me 4-5 duels
Got Aromages. How does the skill help them? I'm currently playing Spectre with Sunavalon.

In duel links its pretty rare that an anime deck isnt good or at least playable
I still think it's weird that they gave us Gouki (VRAINS) ca. 3 years before there was even a single link monster in the game.
I love this style of content I play all 3 TCG, Duel links and master duel so videos like this I really enjoy
Cyber angel was the first deck I ever made. I didnt even know it was meta at the time. I just liked the character.
Back to my favorite series "BUT IN DUEL LINKS"
The three way battle between Anki, Amazoness and Fur Hire was amazing. Loved it
Alexa's Ritual Skill was so strong, it made basically all ritual based archetypes semi-viable in Duel Links for such a long time. I remember running BLS with her, even after the various Yugi's got dedicated BLS skills.
3:25 How about this for an idea; an “Amazoness Harpie Lady”? Since Mai Valentine was the first duelist to use both archetypes:
_Amazoness Harpy Lady_ (WIND)
Level 4
Winged Beast/Effect
_This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" and “Amazoness Fighter” while on the field or in the GY, and also, it’s also treated as EARTH-Attribute. Can be treated as 2 tributes for the Summon/Set of an “Amazoness” or “Harpie” monster. “Amazoness” and “Harpie” monsters gain 200 ATK/DEF for every face-up “Amazoness” and “Harpie” monster you control, and also, if they attack a defense position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. If this card is used as Tribute or Material for the Summon of an “Amazoness” and/or “Harpie” monster, Draw 1 card._
ATK/1300 DEF/1400
The second "and" should be "and/or" otherwise it's just for having both, I think

Toons are some of the most evergreen rogue decks in the game. They'll never be top tier, but they can absolutely hold their own against whatever meta threat Konami decides to throw at the playerbase. And they don't even have Toon Terror yet!
Aromage Bergamot is still my favorite piercer! It has been in my Jim Cook decks for years now!
It feels like this deck is all about getting advantages, whilst having super advantages if you gain the advantage, and if you dare lose the advantage you can get advantage that will auto-fuel itself for extra advantage (yo dawg...)
In other news, I'm quite shocked not seeing Harpies here.
It was when paired with spright and runick
Aromage was definitely my go to deck back in the day when I played Duel Links.
And that was at the time they only run 1 Queen. Imagine if there were multiples.
I remember having so much fun with Aromages in the past

I’d love to see the opposite list. TCG meta threats that flopped in Duel Links.
One of the big ones is Prank-Kids. The reduced hand size down to 4 makes Prank-Kids one of the most inconsistent decks Duel Links has ever seen.
Love the duel links content, haven’t played DL since 2021 so it’s nice to see this stuff

Interesting fact, Amazoness Archer also didn't have Amazoness in her card name initially and was named Amazon Archer and the all the other Amazoness cards that mentioned Amazoness cards also had the text "or is named Amazon Archer"
I remember that lol.
i had the aromage deck because the deck was cheap , since most of his cards are in the merchant. You forgot ressonadors, koai meiru, fortune fairys and onomatopeia.
I have an idea for a future video: Why Iron Chains failed. Then again, it’s such a tiny archetype, that there’s probably not much to discuss.
No no, I love Iron Chains and I think he spoke about it...but considering how small it is, how would support for Iron Chains possibly look like?
Man I loved playing fire king yubel it was so fun blowing up the entire field every end phase
You should start doing many clips of the combos you explain. I haven't been watching lately but you're one of my favorite YGO UA-camr. I'm sorry for my rudeness for commanding. But your layouts are amazing. Love your wording structure as well.
Fortune Lady actually good in DL, well... If you "fortune" to get Every
Fortune Lady is kinda like Chaos MAX in MD. If you get through combo uninterrupted, you win. If you messed up, you lose.
And yeah... The legendary Tea Burn, one that change DL entirely
I can’t be only one who hated aroma decks these players to play to win but to force you into rage surrender.
Yubel was my only threat but when the spell and trap were limited it went from a 50-50 to 10-90
Seeing Yubel and Fire king mentioned gave me PTSD, even on today Master Duel 😭😭😭
@@zzmarcc yup ixchel hit, counter trap hit, banishment hit, superbia hit. It was a SLAUGHTER and they came out super early too we didn’t even have XYZ then.

30:48 Idea for an Aromage boss monster:
_Aromage Titan Arum_ (WIND)
Level 10
Zombie/Effect
_Requires "Aroma" Tributes to Normal Summon/Set. Once per turn, you can Special Summon any number of Insect monster from your hand, who’s combined total ATK/DEF is equal to or less than your LP._
ATK/4000 DEF/4000
I based off of the Titan Arum (Corpse Flower) that can be found in Indonesia.
Majoram already does this for ALL cards (including herself)
Also it being a zombie clashes hard with the deck since it plant locks you.
@@megaspacewaffles
Well I could change things up for sure (The Zombie typing was more of an in-joke in regards to its real life inspiration plant)…
How about I make it an Xyz monster (Since the “Aroma” monsters already have Fusions, Links and Syncrhos)? Maybe give it an effect where during the end phase of each player’s turn, you gain LP equal to the combined total ATK/DEF of its attached materials?
@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire why would you make it an xyz? They don’t have monsters matching levels? It be a lot harder to make, like I said a fusion or synchro would work best with what they already have.

Meanwhile my idea for the card art would be something along the lines of those old “CARToons rat fink” pics you’d see on Mad Magazine, mixed with a bit of that “Cars” animated movie.
GO GO GUNDAM BEARS!! Loved the Ursarctic art and their unique mechanic.
Ursartics are my fav archtype. I love my mecha space bears that let me pretend I’m a dark signer.

recently came back cause of boredom, found my dinomist deck is still rocking some nice levels of power. it does have issues compared to the pre vrains days, but since you could only bring one from the extra deck a turn anyway its not much to have them go to the extra zone when recycling them. honestly it just made the deck slightly stronger since i can now have a spinos and three pleos at once potentially reducing all opponents by 2700 att/def. one thing i like about the dinomist is they dont do negate spam. i want to play, not be told by my opponent only he gets to play today.

You've just hurt me a little, my precious space bears, I love to play them in DL in combination with other syncro related archetypes :D
You gotta admit, having Yubel alongside Phoenixes of Nephtys and Fire Kings made for a pretty sick aesthetic (Phoenix King Yubel?) XD Not to mention thematically appropriate for them.
Fur Hires definitely deserve a shoutout for being one of the dumbest tier 0 decks of all time in DL.
Ursarctic is definitely one my favorite pet decks. Going to be pub after a tournament and beating someone with it is an unmatched feeling because itself a 50/50 it does nothing
